Well, I guess since I now have a number of people on my friendslist who aren't 
surlydinos who've known me a dozen years, I should have a better bio.
So. I'm Sara. Kate's a name I've used online for something like 18 years now; it's sufficiently ingrained in my psyche that once a friend used it in real life, I answered, and neither of us noticed until someone else laughed at us both. The main reason for using it places now, though, is that "Sara" and "Kate" individually are usually taken, but "sarakate" together often isn't. I've also gone by Sally in the past; I don't now, although I will answer to it in a grumpy manner if you knew me back when. I'm in my late 30's, married, mom to a school-age boy and a kindergartener girl. We live in a north Houston suburb where I work as an attorney (environmental and oil&gas law, mostly, with smatterings of corporate governance). I grew up mostly in Oklahoma City, went to college in Norman, Oklahoma, worked a while in Ann Arbor, Michigan, went to law school in Boulder, Colorado, and then moved down to Houston about 10 years ago.
