Maybe it’s cliché or predictable but I do find inspiration and beauty everywhere. It is truly all around us if you are willing to look around and accept this as a mindset, I promise you will see it. I try and find beauty and inspiration in the everyday, the mundane, the chaotic, the unknown and the scary, the provocative and the boundary pushing, the mass, the extravagant and the very simple. I have always been put into a box, told what I am good at and what I am not, what I can create and what I cannot. I refuse to let others determine what inspires me and how I express it. I force myself to draw on inspiration from all walks of life, in various forms, some from people that look like me and many that don’t. From current creatives, past creatives, the very well known to the obscure. For me, I always need help being a better student, ways to expand my creativity, feed my curiosity and challenge myself on how I am inspired. Beautiful books are one of the many ways that I can do that. Below are just a few books focused on fashion and photography that I find beautifully inspiring and continue to draw from. I hope you can also sit, enjoy and absorb all or some of these books. Please share any that I may have missed that are your go-to for inspiration. Print is not dead in my home and I always want to add more to my collection.
