In recent years her focus has been on learning the methods of modern oil painting, but with a knowing that she would one day meld pigmented oils with photographic prints. After realizing that she is especially drawn to paintings from the Renaissance, Tami\u2019s focus has shifted to using the printed photographic image as a grisaille or brunaille. The print is painted with multiple layers of oil glazes and velaturas and built up over time, giving a sense of depth and luminosity to the finished work.
