I did send a copy to my lawyer though.

What happens next? I don't know. It is what it is, I guess.

The weirdest thing is that one of the last guys to really give me grief (one of the ex's from hell's best bud) died in the last month and I can't help but wonder if his death triggered this somehow. And (allegedly) he is tracking every keystroke and post I make, through a Trojan virus or some fucking thing, Oh well.

So please don't think I have ghosted any of you or that I am having a tantrum, or sulking or that I am suicidal or something. No, I've just been enduring my so-called life and existing -- until this.

FUCK. ME.

You can answer this post if you want, or not. But please, if you do nothing else, change your passwords NOW. I know I changed mine frequently and yet, that wasn't good enough.

Take care everyone, and stay safe!

“When I was 15, I spent a month working on an archeological dig. I was talking to one of the archeologists one day during our lunch break and he asked those kinds of “getting to know you” questions you ask young people: Do you play sports? What’s your favorite subject? And I told him, no I don’t play any sports. I do theater, I’m in choir, I play the violin and piano, I used to take art classes.

And he went WOW. That’s amazing! And I said, “Oh no, but I’m not any good at ANY of them.”

And he said something then that I will never forget and which absolutely blew my mind because no one had ever said anything like it to me before: “I don’t think being good at things is the point of doing them. I think you’ve got all these wonderful experiences with different skills, and that all teaches you things and makes you an interesting person, no matter how well you do them.”

And that honestly changed my life. Because I went from a failure, someone who hadn’t been talented enough at anything to excel, to someone who did things because I enjoyed them. I had been raised in such an achievement-oriented environment, so inundated with the myth of Talent, that I thought it was only worth doing things if you could “Win” at them.”
- Kurt Vonnegut.

So, what have I been doing? Not very much. *sigh*

I went to my dr. for my regular checkup (made before all this mess started) and I got a good review. Masks are *required* and all health staff were wearing gloves as well.

He asked me how I was and I told him I was basically a housecat now: eat, sleep and look for a sunny spot for naps. He laughed. Well, making people laugh is A Good Thing, right? Right.

He gave me a pneumonia shot -- I'm assuming he wants me to be ahead of whatever may or may not be coming next because yes, I am in the high-risk category. :/ My next appointment is in 3 months (end of September.)

I also went to the Y and got to soak in the pool for almost an hour and it felt wonderful! Seriously, as a 'plus-size' person, it is very hard to really soak in the bath (I usually just shower), there is just something about being able to immerse most of me in warm water and just relax... And I got about an hour of water aerobics in as well. :) So all in all, a good day.

Seen on my f-list.

1. Are you an Essential Worker?
No.

2. How many drinks have you had since the quarantine started?
I don't drink.

3. If you have kids... Are they driving you nuts?
No kids, so no. Just a barky little Chihuahua.

4. What new hobby have you taken up during this?
Writing increasingly darker fic. :(

5. How many grocery runs have you done?
Once a week or less.

6. What are you spending your stimulus check on?
No clue. Playoff tickets?

7. Do you have any special occasions that you will miss during this quarantine?
Yeah, hockey games.

8. Are you keeping your housework done?
Mostly.

9. What movie have you watched during this quarantine?
"The Stand" mini-series. Guaranteed to cheer me up, eh?

10. What are you streaming with?
Nothing.

11. 9 months from now is there any chance of you having a baby?
Over 60, so no.

12. What's your go-to quarantine meal?
Nothing special, just whatever I feel like.

13. Is this whole situation making you paranoid?
I was paranoid to start with.

14. Has your internet gone out on you during this time?
Only once but that was because a transformer blew and the whole town went dark for a couple hours.

15. What month do you predict this all ends?
It's not going to end. It will get better and we'll learn to live with it but it's not going to end.

16. First thing you’re gonna do when you get off quarantine?
Go to the Y and use the pool!

17. Where do you wish you were right now?
I'm ok right here, really.

18. What free-from-quarantine activity are you missing the most?
Darn near everything.

19. Have you run out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer?
No. I always buy ahead with soap and tp. Hand sanitizer is ok but I prefer soap.

20. Do you have enough food to last a month?
Probably. I can get by with what I have right now.
