About the member

Bríanna Ní Léanacháin is a visual artist based in Cork City. Her work centres around traditional and contemporary Irish culture, Rurality and the landscape, the experience of women, and the Irish language. Her practice includes a range of media – photography, video, performance, printmaking, installation, sound, and the written and spoken word.

  • She graduated from the Crawford College of Art and Design in 2021 with a BA Hons in Fine Art.

Bríanna

My current areas of research and interest include our relationship with The Land, the Dairy Cow, Gaeilge, Ancient Ireland, Folklore and the Brehon Laws. I am also exploring ideas of land-ownership, boundary lines, commodification, and the current Global Environmental Crisis. I am currently researching and developing a new body of work for my upcoming solo show in January 2023, spanning the mediums of performance, sound, video, Art-Writing, and casting.
