i've been rolling around tumblr for a couple of years now, and really... it just makes me miss the friendships i had on LJ. haha.

currently i am:

working in the same company doing the same thing (except i appear to be working 9-12 hour days? why??)

playing Pokemon Go (halfheartedly)

watching Wynonna Earp (i ship Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday... is that weird? it might be.)

watching Game of Thrones (sort of)

watching Suits

watching Teen Wolf (oops)

still in love with Kim Jaejoong (although i'm suspicious of this new drama he has coming out... it's called "Man Hole"......)

drafting concept drawings for my friend's nascent children's book.

currently i am not:

writing much of anything (although i dabble in random original fic and fanfic that will never see the light of day)

drawing much of anything (other than the testing i'm doing for my friend)

watching any anime (oh wait, there's a new season of Saiyuki!)

currently i might be:

contemplating making felt food plushies again

contemplating pole dance fitness classes?

teaching myself to watercolour via youtube (i think i drew a passable pineapple the other day... is it art? who knows.)

a novel idea. an "edible gifts" secret santa party!

my friend was invited to an "edible gifts only" secret santa party. it was the type of secret santa where you pool the gifts, and then you draw numbers to pick your gift, but you can choose to steal the gift of someone who'd chosen before you or take a new one from the pile... (what is this type of secret santa called? is it called "bad santa"? "selfish santa"? or... something like that??)

i like the idea of edible gifts only though. because, you know... for this kind of secret santa, you don't know who your recipient will end up being... and realistically, i think most people would rather have a box of cookies than a $20 candle holder (or something random like that).

so my friend asked me the other day if i knew what "OTP" meant. (oddly enough she learned the term through a youtube beauty guru. lol.)
of course, i cheerfully and honestly said: "sure! it stands for one true pairing, the one couple you think should be together regardless of how the storyline goes or, y'know, how general common sense would dictate."
and she asked me who was my all time OTP.
so i thought about it.
looked her straight in the eye.
and said: "yunho and jaejoong."

hahaha.

so after her faux shocked and indignant spluttering was done, i said that, no, really my OTP of all OTPs is Zach and Kelly from "Saved by the Bell".

i know we're all moving towards recklessly casual punctuation and grammar in our online chats... but this is why sometimes it's still important to keep the basics...

i haven't watched an anime series in a long time, but over the weekend i was just vegging out and i noticed that Netflix now has "Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin)". Everyone's talked soooo much about this series (from online friends, to coworkers, to chinese/korean/japanese pop idols and actors...) so i thought maybe i should give it a try. i remember that when i first looked it up, the Titans kind of scared me. hahaha. they were so creepy looking! but this weekend... well it was day time... haha. so i gathered up all my courage and started watching!

and i'm totally hooked.

i've made it to ep 22 (last night) and i know there's only 25 eps this season... so i can already tell that they're not going to explain anything about where titans come from or what their purpose is. hahaha. call me a skeptic, but........

anyway!

PROS:
- storyline is intriguing (there's obvie the titans vs the humans story, but it also brings up issues with government structures, social hierarchies, overpopulation, religion (a bit), and the human cost of war (any))
- action sequences are really cool (and i mean REALLY COOL)
- characters are pretty interesting
- their uniforms are really smexy

CONS:
- storytelling is a bit suspicious (like, suddenly everyone knoooows something, but how could they if this is the first time they saw that particular titan?)
- character design is 50% awesome and 50% lazy. (but i really like that they gave everyone a slightly different shaped nose. i think that's frequently overlooked in animation.)
- i sort of think that being hauled around by cables attached to your pelvis... is really going dislocate something along your spine. but maybe i'm just being a hater. kekekeke.

it's "treat receipt" time at Starbucks, where if you purchase a drink in the morning, you can bring your receipt back the same day after 2pm to get any grande drink for just $2. so our office manager went to Starbucks this morning on her way to work, and the three people in front of her didn't take their receipts, so the cashier gave them all to our office manager along with her own receipt and said: "now you can have 4 afternoon treats!"

==at 3pm==
office manager: "okay ladies! SB treat time! name your drink!" (we only have 4 ladies in the office right now. lol.)
me: "hmm... i don't really like-- oh!!! i want the thing!"
OM: "... samsam..."
me: "oh! the thinggggg! come on, help me ouuut~~~ you know what i mean. the thing!"
OM: "..."
me: "like a salted caramel thing but not that thing! the other thiiiiiiiiiiing~~~~"
OM: "the caramel flan latte?"
me: "THAT THING!!!!!!!! ^____________________________^b "

it is excellent when people know what i'm talking about. :D also, i feel like this exactly illustrates why she's the best office mommy ever.

the drink is lovely, btw. (but should have asked for half sweet).

you know when you're frantically cleaning up before your parents come over and you realize that you have a MILLION LITTLE THINGIES LAYING AROUND AND NOWHERE TO PUT THEM??? like seriously... when did i accumulate so many hair ties and bobby pins? why do i have more makeup than drawer/counter space? WHERE DO THE MUFFIN TINS FIT INTO MY KITCHEN ORGANIZATIONAL THEORY??? so last thursday i went to see "Frozen" with a coworker. it was awesome! like everything awesome! i felt that it was a return to the classic disney feeling. very magical. *O* even more magical was the fact that it had started snowing while we were in the theatre, so when we came out it was a light winter wonderland. hahaha.

also this movie made me want to draw again. wheee

randomly, i posted about going to see the movie on facebook and another coworker immediately PM'd me and said: "you didn't go to a movie alone, did you?" which is so weird, don't you think??? i've never really talked to this coworker except brief "hi"s as we pass each other in the hall. so mysterious.

so last week i went to see DBSK live in LA... (that's not the awkward part by the way. loooool.) and darling, perfect, elegant changmin (and yunho) ran into the audience twice! sooo cute. apparently they've never really done it before? i guess not, right? they're usually in those carts and stuff. anyway, they were totally mobbed. and yunho got trapped by fans because he's a woobie... but changmin barreled through like his house was on fire and was back on stage in a jiffy.

because baby changmin doesn't like to be touched.

you see that little girl in the video? i think that's changmin's life. hahahaha. (he says it alllll the time, he doesn't like people touching him, fans, stalkers, his own group members...)

so then yesterday i went to see NKOTB live in Vancouver (still not the awkward part...). and they also ran out into the audience... Donny, Jordan, and Danny stood still to be mobbed. Joey brought his 5 year old son out so he wasn't being mobbed but they were hamming it up for the crowd. but Jon just... barreled through the crowd like his house was on fire and was back on stage in a jiffy.

because sweet, shy jonathan knight doesn't like to be touched.

so the awkward trend is... whhhhhhy is it that all of my favourite idols don't like to be touched??? hahahahahahahahahahaha. soveryawkward. T_T

(that's not true. jaejoong needs pats and cuddles like fish need water, but you know what i mean)

when there's a huuuge thing about Friend #1 that you're dying to tell your best friend... but you're not supposed to know about it. and you only know about it because Friend #2 told you in knee-jerk reaction kind of way?

so basically... Friend #1 is experiencing fundamental relationship drama. and they blurted it out to Friend #2. Friend #2 messaged me immediately because they were like: "omg. what is happening? what do i doooo???" and then Friend #1 said: "but i don't want to tell anyone about it."

hahaha. oops.

but my bestie and i... we are really close with Friend #1 too. to the extent that we'd move heaven and earth to support Friend #1... if we officially knew about the matter.

so now i know... but i have to pretend that i don't know. and i want to tell my bestie because i think she'll understand how upset i am for Friend #1... but i shouldn't gossip because that's impolite.

(but you know... this took me like an hour on the computer with OpenCanvas and my tablet. but at work, i did a chibi Hawkeye sketchie for mrasaki in pencil (that's a similar level of sketchiness as this) and that only took me 2 minutes. haha. i wonder why... shouldn't it be the same really? (obviously i know it's not. but i mean... whyyy is it not the same???))
