Nature
Just like Sam, Ruby’s greatest fear is herself. Like Sam, she’s caught in between human and demon, not fully one but just barely resembling the other. She doesn’t know which one she really is.
But she knows which one she wants to be. She wants it more than anything. She wishes for it; she dreams about it. She plans for it slowly, carefully, diligently.
Still, she’s afraid that in the end nature will win out. She’s afraid that when the time comes for her to act, the tiny part of her that’s still human will prevent her from betraying Sam.
