Two More Drabbles
So I thought my writing kick was over. Then I got bitten by this two-headed plot bunny.
Two drabbles that started off with the same idea and then went in two different directions with it.
(And no, the title of the second one was not intended to be a pun.)

Consideration
Ruby doesn’t want to come between Sam and his brother, because she’s seen what losing Dean did to him and she never wants to see him go through that again. So she backs off, gives them some space. When Sam stops using his powers, she doesn’t press the issue, much as she wants to. When their secrets start to come out, she does her best not to argue with Dean, to simply ignore his glares and insults. She does all of this because she doesn’t want to come between him and Sam. She just wishes Dean would return the favor.

On the contrary, there are times when she really can’t stand him, when she wonders how Sam can put up with the mess of emotional issues behind his smart-ass façade of strength. There are times when she thinks Sam might’ve actually been better off without him. Still, she bites her tongue. She’s trying to be civil. She’s trying to be a lot of things these days. Less callous, less abrasive. More compassionate. More human. More like what Sam wants her to be.
