Been trying for weeks to find time.

Kaleen is my D&D character and, as stated, an Earth Disciple. I wanted to draw the rocky crusting on her back as well as her scar. To do that I kinda hafta take off her shirt.

Due to schoolstuffs, I've only had a chance to read up on some LJ like three times over the course of the semester, I'm not even kidding.

However, I do remember at one point that someone, I /think/ it was raphien made some sort of comment about it being impossible to draw Seth as a pirate and still have it look like Seth? Was that right? At any rate, I wanted to respectfully dispute that point but had no choice until now, in the middle of my Spring Break.

A few nights ago, my life (or at least the fact that at that point I was escorted back to my dorm by seven guys) was compared to an anime (they tried and failed to assign everyone to a correlating Ouran Host Club character)

This weekend was parent weekend and I had nonstop stuff to do, but had an awesome time. Saw the talent show, then the production of Arsenic and Lace, and then showed a ton of friends RED all right after each other

and now I'm working on homework, most specifically a 3d art project I have neglected all semester which is due on Tuesday and AUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHOLYCRAPIMIGHTBESCREWED because my photoproject just ate three extra hours of my time BY NOT SENDING because it was too big and because Powerpoint is retarded and does not update pictures if you re-save them and going through and re-saving them by hand with a touchpad takes forever especially when there are more than twenty images and especially when you have to do it MORE THAN ONCE.

I don't know how many people on my f-list are into Pokemon and, more specifically, finding things out in advance, but I figured I ought to make a notice here:

Given that the new games Black and White arrived in Japan yesterday, if anyone wants to look up the game or even get the Rom ahead of time, power to you, whatever.

I doubt anyone's going to actually believe this, as it might seem to defy Rule 5 (though it really is true!), at time of reading this meme on hooves's page, I had, in my hand, my friend's copy of "Good Omens", which he lent to me a few days ago and I had only just taken it off my little desk and started to read in procrastination on other homework things. 8U (For those curious, the other books nearby that had NOT been directly in my hand at this time were the [New Revised Standard Version] Bible at the end of my bed and "Been There -Should've- Done that-More tips for Making the Most of College" farther down my desk. Even had "Good Omens" /not/ been actually in my hand, it still would have been the closest to reach. So there.)

All right, so I'm pretty well decided that I'm getting another DS Lite since mine, while still hardy and in pretty awesome condition, is starting to show its age (L button is fluky, sometimes works if blown into, touch screen likes to hop a bit to the right, ). This will create ease of playing as well as inter-game trading. (which, at a college where pretty much only TWO people have DSes and Pokemon games creates a bit of an issue).

I know, I know, the 3DS is coming out in about a year. I DON'T CARE. I still like playing my GBA games, thanks very much, and I would like to continue to do so. I probably /could/ wait to see if that drops DS Lite prices, but that's a long time coming.

HOWEVER, I face a conundrum. NINTENDO DISCONTINUED WHITE AND BLACK DS LITE COLORS. This is quite crushing to me as my White DS Lite has been so wonderful, and damage-resilient (seriously, it hides dirt, fingerprints, and scratches EXCEPTIONALLY WELL), and aesthetically pleasing that I'm rather distraught by having to pick another color. Also, rumor has it that the newer DSes have matte bottoms which I find kind of eww. :/

SO. Please contribute opinions here. If you have personal proof (pictures of your own DS or testimonials to swing me to a certain color), please post. If you have knowledge whether certain colors do or don't have matte bottoms, please add that, as well as any sort of dirt/scratch attracting or DEtracting abilities it may possess.

This may seem very silly, but it really does matter to me. :c

It takes a lot to stuff all things for college into a Civic. But we did it and I made it back to college yesterday and got things all squared away. I'm going to see Scott Pilgrim with my roommate and her best friend sometime tonight. Butanyway, preparing for and coming up to college are basically the reasons I have hardly been around. I have a LOT of catching up to do for the FE_Contest stuff, I need to read lots of fics and REPLY to all the wonderful reviews I got (I appreciate every single one and I will reply, honest! ;0; )

But I need to relax a bit. So I'm gonna do something special.

This was pretty much all I remember. :'D Other than copious amounts of "Are you/ Is he/ I think he's the Avatar" and "Zuko kidnapped Ahng again"

It's a tale of superbly wasted potential, like, even potential for bad/corny jokes. Pretty costumes, pretty scenery, great martial displays and a great special effects.

Characters? DEAD. They pretty much sucked all the life out of them and spat back a schizophrenic mess of exposition, traveling scenes, and largely wooden acting. Out of them all, though, the firebenders got the best actors (but even they have poor scenes).

Also, they change the pronunciation of, like, 90% of the important bits.

I could go onto more specific parts, but I don't have the energy. It was just very bland.

Before you ask: yes, I went to the midnight showing. Was the movie really worth the money? No, but it was worth it to make costumes and go with my friends and have fun with them.

Haven't really drawn much FE for a while, I'm still in a creative low, but we'll see how it goes...

Just a stupid little comic. Hot day in Caelin, Lyn pushes Kent in, Kent sharkattack-pulls her in too. Really rather stupid.

On the left the sequence which was actually drawn last), I mused that I tend to forget to draw other characters injured. So I started with Hector--then I figured that, since Kent typically attends Lyn in random fan-related nonsense, one of Hector's vassals should attend him. And then I went down the line. |D;

On the /right/, I was musing about hooves saying she felt she'd covered practically everything, and looking at my own pile of ideas, I decided things were too tranquil and people were always too nice to even the one they were friends with-so! The camp is attacked at night before anyone has a chance to get much together, and Lyndis has to be defended by her knight with a hunting knife while she's basically in just a shirt feeling a) useless b) pissy in general c) pissy about not being able to fight her own battles d) humiliated about being in basically a shirt and panties and that's it, and so forth. In the corner you can see my thumbnail for her position so I could figure out how to place her behind Kent /randomsketchstorytime

Since eveyone was making an FE3 remake post...

On the gameplay side of things, I, as stated before, rather liked the little inclusion of the "tactician" to put oneself into the game. So, as long as it doesn't bork things up, I'm kinda interested/excited by the new feature.

CAVALIER UPDATED YESTERDAAAAAAAAAY~ And with a ton of chapters, and by the better translating group (although now they're passing it off, awwww D: )~ Ohhh, so awesome. ;O; Gads, it gets better and better. I need to art for it sometime.

Also, I think I forgot to tell y'all, my earbuds came back a couple weeks ago, Sony fixed em without charge. :D

And I'm going to be gone for about the next four days, going on a bike trip with my dad. :>
