The Cloud Native Design Patterns course provides a comprehensive overview of the various design patterns prevalent in cloud native systems. Day one of Cloud Native Design Patterns provides an overview of the cloud native ecosystem and the key software engineering aspects of cloud native systems. The introduction is followed by a look at the principal patterns used in microservice communications, connectivity and composition, wrapping up with an in-depth look at cloud native data models and application data management patterns. Day two of Cloud Native Design Patterns carries on examining event sourcing and other driven architecture patterns, stream processing patterns, API patterns and rounds out the day with a look at migration patterns that address the needs of brownfield environments.

Who Should Attend

Architects, Developers, Technical Managers, and DevOps personnel

What Attendees Will Learn

Upon completion attendees will have the knowledge and tools necessary to begin using cloud native design patterns in their software architectures, including:

  • Cloud Native Communications patterns
  • Connectivity and Compositionatterns
  • Data Management patterns
  • Event-driven Architecture patterns
  • Operational patterns
  • Migration patterns

Prerequisites

Attendees should have coding experience.

Delivery

Available for Instructor-Led (ILT) in-person/onsite training or Virtual Instructor-Led training (VILT) delivery.

Each attendee will require the ability to ssh into a cloud hosted virtual machine (provided with the course). In environments where SSH is not possible, local lab VMs or browser accessible lab systems can be provided. For web-based delivery, participants require an Internet-connected computer capable of teleconferencing.
