Water is wet and I'm a moron.

There's this really cute girl in my driving class named Joanna. I'm not sure where she's from, but she has an accent...something European, I'm guessing. Anyway, today in class we did some mapping thing where we had to work in a group of four, and Joanna was in my group. She kept looking at me. Not just, like, casually glancing or staring like I had something in my teeth. She was giving me looks. And I was like "hmm, okay" and I told her I liked her necklace, and she said thank you and like, flipped her hair. You know, the hair flip? Yeah. This evoked further mildly interested "hmm"-ing from me. (Not vocally, but y'know.) So I kind of smiled at her and she kind of smiled back...not bad.

Then after class, we were walking down the hall. And she was continuing the theme here, with the looks and the hair-flipping and whatnot, and then we got to the end of the hall and she kind of glanced the way I usually walk after class and said "Are you going that way?" while sort of indicating that she was heading the other direction.

Guess what I said. Go on, guess.

I smiled apologetically and told her yeah, I had to get going because I had a job application to fill out. And she gave me a disappointed look, and then smiled and said "Okay, bye" and went away.

*headdesk*

Note to self: When a cute girl who is flirting with you says "Are you going that way?" the correct response is "Well, not today..."

So yes, I am an idiot.

I'll try again tomorrow. And I'm going to ask Marty the driving instructor if he knows where she's from...maybe I can start a conversation. (Is that cheating?)

In other news, I applied for a job at the library. Fingers crossed, folks. I really hope I get it.
