I'm more confused than anything.

Steve, the guy I went out with last week, drunk dialed my via IM last night to tell me that since he lives in Pittsburgh, the distance is a little far to try to establish something, which I agreed with (I'd been thinking something similar and was trying to come up with a way to tell him without sounding like a jerk). We agreed to keep in touch, and somehow ten minutes later he was trying to give me dating advice and wanted me to hook up with him. I told him he should probably go to bed because it was almost 5am and he took off. ...So that was interesting.

Also, a meme I've been meaning to do for like a week and keep forgetting.

Albino: I've always been interested in albinism, both in animals and people; I think it's a neat sort of mutation that often yields pretty or fascinating results. I had a webcomic that died after a couple weeks, illustrated by the lovely and talented mipeltaja, called Face The Music - some of you may remember it - and one of the main characters was an OCA1a type albino named Minuet. It caused a lot of skin and eye problems for her, as well as fashion problems, because being incredibly and geekily goth looks bad enough without chalk-white coloring and pink/red eyes.

Music: Music is a huge part of my life. I'm always, always listening to it, and when I can't listen to it I have it running through my head. It inspires me, moves me, motivates me, shapes my views and works - hell, I was named after a song. I've always loved it and I always will, and I can find beauty and meaning even in truly shitty music (though, granted, it's often a lot harder than with music of genuine quality). I think you can tell a lot about a person by the kind of music they like. In my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful facets of human existence.

Red: I'm not sure where this one comes from, outside of the red eyes and particularly awful red top Minuet was known for in her brief run. I'm not actually that fond of the color! My mom loves it, though, so I'm sort of surrounded by it.

Cute: I'm not sure where this comes from either, but I do enjoy cute things! I have two cats and a dachshund, which is hard to beat for cute. I also may or may not collect pictures of cute animals with which to cheer up people who are having bad days.

Chinchillas: Ah, my default icon. I had this nasty habit of referring to everything I liked as 'hardcore' for awhile, and once, when I applied the term to chinchillas, my mom snapped and pointed out that they are possibly the most harmless, fluffy, adorable animals ever, and that they die en masse when planes fly over their farms. Cue jame_alec making me the icon. (Naturally, this is my favorite commercial ever.)
