Hubs

There are several overarching themes here on this blog, and the number should continue to grow as the years go on, that are important to various articles I’ve written, or I’ve read various atricles/watched various videos on, and wish to make accessible to my audience. While this can certainly happen in the footnotes or hypertext of the articles I publish, I wanted a more central and organized venue for this to take place. Hence, the hubs.

Over a year ago I introduced “primers,” which would be articles that would contain links to resources I made myself familiar with that encapsulate said overarching themes. Very similar to the hubs. The main difference, however, was that I introduced the primers under the impression I would never get around to making articles on these subjects, or that my own writing would not do them justice. This was quickly controverted when I found myself writing articles on said subjects, and on others as well. The primers, then, quickly became obsolete, but I still felt the need for what the primers were ultimately getting at, an accessible library or bibliography of sorts.

Therefore, the Hubs will be added to this page of the blog to organize the articles I’ve written on an important theme in my writings (communal ontology, liturgical theology, aesthetics, etc.) as well as an inventory of articles and videos created by others that have greatly influenced, or greatly complement, my own thinking. They will perform the function of the primers, in making accessible resources that talk about what I wish to talk about faster or better then I can, but unlike the primers they will not exclude any possibility of me ultimately adding to the conversation. They will change gradually as I continue to read or write, but I hope they will always remain the same in their usefulness for readers.
