Every year the Lincoln Historic Site comes alive with the return of Old Lincoln Days and The Last Escape of Billy the Kid. Experience history where it happened, with three days of fun for all ages in one of America’s most legendary towns.
See what New Mexico was like in the 1870s and 1880s and explore museums and historic buildings. Interact with living historians, enjoy activities, and watch a reenactment of one of Lincoln’s many bloody gun battles. You can learn about the town’s history from a notable speaker, listen to live music, grab a bite to eat, and walk the grounds where Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, and other characters of the Old West roamed.
The festivities culminate each day with a performance of the pageant, The Last Escape of Billy the Kid.
