"Prologue" - A freighter captain struggles to keep his ship off the rocks as he attempts to round Sea Lion Cape bearing an exotic cargo.
I think we areong overdue some nautical settings in SFF. I enjoyed this.
Long* and 'more nautical'. Sorry, my phone is terrible 😂
Thanks, Hanna! Just this episode is nautical, but I have a few ideas about a longer serial set on the ocean. We'll see if I can get to it.
Wow! What a start to the story! And, of course, it leaves us hanging.
Of course! I wouldn't be any good at serials if I didn't! But I hope the rest of the story pays off the dramatic beginning.
I'm invested already! Parts of this reminded me a little of The Wager by David Grann (really good book).
Loved that book!
That's high praise! I listened to The Wager about six months ago and enjoyed it very much. What a tale of survival, treachery, and Royal Navy incompetence!
What a coincidence; I read it a few months ago as well 😊. I really liked Grann's writing style!
It sounded good to me! 😜
A new serial!
Indeed! I finally got my ducks in a row.
