El próximo Sábado 31 de Marzo tendrá lugar el primer taller sobre el modo ROS realizado en España, organizado por EA5ASU y con la colaboración del autor del sistema: “The Man of the Vara”.  

Aprenderemos a operar y configurar el programa correctamente, y hablaremos de la “auto-censura” de la ARRL, de lo humano, y de lo divino.

Lugar: Colegio Público La Huerta, C/ La Huerta nº 14  San Vicent del Raspeig -Alicante.

Some ROS users are having problems to run Rigblaster interface with ROS.

The majority of commercial soundcard interfaces use the DATA rear connector recommended by the manufacturer for the AFSK operation. And ROS have been designed to be used with this kind of interfaces.

However, some interfaces such as Rigblaster, use the Front Mic connector to inject audio to the rig instead of DATA rear connector. This option requires a different configuration besides it can generate distortion if you have the Audio Voice processor active or another voice filters.

For this reason, ROS and Opera softwares are not compatibles with this kind of interfaces.

Old rigs, like Keenwood TS-950, have a great VFO offset, in some cases 800Hz even on 10 meters.

The solution is to repair or to compensate by software.

This option estimates the VFO offset and active a mechanism of compensation.

The Radio Club Venezolano Team YX6AJ, will do an expedition to famous Salto Angel  (Venezuela).

The expedition is from 3 to 6 January 2012 and YV5FRD will be active in ROS Mode.

There is several ways to go to expeditions, but the YX6AJ Team use a Combat Helicopter 🙂

Y por fin nos llega la tercera y última parte de la saga “El modo ROS, ¿ya lo has probado?” en la Revista CQ Radio Amateur. 

De nuevo un trabajo de divulgación excelente de Luis del Molino EA3OG. Además de la guía, se habla con total libertad de lo que acontece y de lo que aconteció. No tiene desperdicio.

This option avoid to move the dial accidentally. Available recently in v6.9.0.
