                      About Adapter Tamil

Adapter is built for contemporary modernist aesthetics, and designer Aadarsh Rajan delivers that same salience for Tamil users with the new Adapter Tamil.

Modernist sans serifs or neo-grotesques are often an unobtrusive or basic default choice for continuous text. Although they can make a strong stylistic statement when employed in posters, magazines, or book covers — they remain well-known for a certain minimalism or unaesthetic they exhibit.

Adapter Tamil Text focuses on ergonomics, ease of reading, and an even rhythm. The generous spacing offsets the rigid cadence implicit in the script; the artful ink-traps accommodate for a myriad of intersecting, complex strokes; the closed apertures bolster a bold graphic style, but subtle humanist constructions honour the reading experience.

Adapter Tamil Text is also available as a single, lightweight variable font, packing the whole range of weights into a single, feather-light file.

The Adapter World collection currently supports Arabic, Cyrillic, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, and Tamil and is determined to grow. These simple, flexible solutions to communicate globally are developed in collaboration with respected script experts to stay authentic and faithful to local preferences.
