Portia and Nadia are so supportive of each other and play off of each other in such a fun way. Anything post-canon and happy would be good, but if you want a more specific direction, maybe Portia helping Nadia go around Vesuvia incognito or getting up to some other adventure on a day off?

I don’t expect the other characters to necessarily come up, but just in case: please no gendered language (other than pronouns) to refer to Asra, or bashing of characters besides Lucio and the court.

Critical Role
Jester/Yasha, Beau/Keg

I love the themes in CR of misfits helping each other grow, and these ships certainly work for that. Given the distance currently involved, reunions that offer opportunities for aired feelings or future team-ups would be fun. I also like spy/disguise shenanigans, if you want a more specific direction.

Faye/Silque, Faye/Celica, Faye/Rinea

I’m always here for alternative takes on Faye’s ending, where she gets to expand her horizons and kiss a girl. I’m okay with anything in that category, but if you would like a more specific prompt, perhaps something exploring one or more of her class options or other talents of hers?

Anything with Beruka and Camilla settling down, trying to adjust to a more peaceful way of living and perhaps raising Camilla’s adoptees or their wyverns together, would be lovely.

Dear Creator,

First of all, thank you very much in advance for writing for me, and I hope you have a fun time doing so. Please feel free to take my requests in your own direction if that works better for you, although I would definitely appreciate my squicks etc. section being avoided at the very least.

General likes: Intense, even unhealthy amounts of loyalty. Themes of trust and partnership. Working through issues together. Quiet and unusual domesticity. Hurt/comfort. The people around the romantic relationship (in-laws, family, friends, children) being involved in their lives in a positive way. Isolated characters finding acceptance and belonging. Banter and teasing. Characters having trouble expressing their feelings but finding understanding. When at least one character is obviously out of their element. Telepathy, magic, fantasy, characters displaying inhuman traits. Gay marriage and parenting.

Squicks etc.: Please nothing above a PG-13 rating or anything that includes adultery or cheating, suicide, non-consent, self-harm, homophobia, or transphobia. Kissing, touching, sensuality, etc. is fine but I am not into explicit sexual content. Some of my prompts lend themselves to some action/violence, which is fine, but I ask for a limit on much gore. For this challenge I also ask for no character death within the ship or permanent breakups. I’m fine with angst and tension, but I’d like some hope as well.

Fire Emblem:
Obviously, this series works well for my interests in intense loyalty, trust, and partnership, among other tastes.

FE9/10:

Mist’s unconditional acceptance of Jill warms my heart, and I like seeing them out of their element but growing in positive directions thanks to each other. If you’re not into the AUs I listed, I’d also enjoy seeing them adopt children, or Mist befriending Jill’s wyvern.

Tanith/Sigrun hits my love of trust and partnership as well as knightly values, and I’m interested in the fact that Sigrun is Tanith’s captain and inspiration. Radiant Dawn gives a lot of fallout to cope with if you’re interested in that.

FE14:

Beruka and Camilla hit a lot of what I put in my general likes, so I’d enjoy anything really. However I am particularly interested in seeing them navigate the beginnings of a romantic relationship, given their emotional issues, and in later co-parenting all of Camilla’s adoptees if you want to go that route.

In the given prompt, Kagero has lost her team and needs a new purpose while Hinoka needs extra guidance. Since Hinoka doesn’t like being fussed over while Kagero is uncomfortable with anything besides servitude, I’m curious if they could find a way to meet in the middle over time.

I’m so curious about Mikoto’s all-female team, but canon gives little info, so I’d like to see it explored more. YYH:

I like seeing the relationships between the human and demon or supernatural worlds explored, and the girls getting the prominent roles and development they never quite got in canon. If you’re not into the AU I put in my prompts, some post-canon dating would be fine.

For Keiko/Yukina, these two girls are often pushed to the side and left out of the loop, but they both have their own strength and resolve. Keiko’s humanity and Yukina’s inhumanity make an interesting contrast.

For Botan/Keiko, I love their support and admiration for each other. Keiko could introduce Botan to aspects of life as a human, and Botan could fill her in on all of the spirit and demon details she’s usually kept unaware of.

For Juri/Koto, I’m charmed by how their initial rivalry turned into a supportive relationship and would like to see where their relationship goes after that. Since Koto’s job is her life, it would also be fun to see Juri showing her around places she usually doesn’t go.

As you can see, I’m currently interested in assassins. What form does love take for those trained to kill? My love of trust as a theme is certainly relevant here. I’d like for these to be in historical worlds rather than modern times (so, daggers and poison rather than sniper rifles). Fantasy is fine in all cases.

For Queen/Assassin, not all royal missions are so savory and honorable. Even a well-loved queen may have one who performs dark tasks supporting her. If you go the queen-as-mark route, what halts the assassin’s mission? I’m interested in loyalty as a theme for this one.

For Assassin/Assassin, their professions might facilitate a healthy distrust, but could they also have a deep understanding of each other from being in similar situations, and/or mutual respect for their abilities?

For Assassin/Medic, they both have deep knowledge of the human body and the training to stomach it at is worst—yet one uses it to heal, the other to kill. Being healed also puts the more dangerous assassin in a rare vulnerable position.

For Assassin/Dragon, what if a royal decided that the knights being sent to slay the dragon were failing due to being limited by chivalrous methods? Then again, working for the dragon may align better with the assassin’s interests, especially if those hunting the dragon may not be in the right. I would want a humanoid alt form for the dragon here.

Extras: If anyone wants to do extras for me, I did not request them but do enjoy many other Fire Emblem ships, including Say’ri/Tiki, Sully/Miriel, and Phila/Emmeryn (FE13), Tethys/Natasha, Syrene/Tana, and Eirika/Tana (FE8), and Nailah/Elincia and Elincia/Leanne (FE10). Also, I am only asking for fic for my main gift, but I’d be grateful for art as well for extras/treats.

I finished my Sappho prompt table challenge for femslashficlets. My Ao3 collection has all 20 of them plus 11 of the weekly challenges. The newest ones are mostly Say'ri/Tiki with a Jill/Mist and Florina/Ninian. They're just little things, but it's still nice to have a goal to work toward and finish it. It helped that most of them I wrote with a specific person or two in mind (sometimes myself). It took the pressure off of everything else as long as the target audience was happy.

The gift I received was this lovely Yu Yu Hakusho art. I was pleasantly surprised that that was what my gifter created for, as I put it on my request as a long-shot and I don't think it was what I was matched on, but I had really been craving more content of this series' girls and the result is beautiful.

This was my first AO3-based fanwork exchange, but overall I enjoyed participating. It was fun revisiting the BSP canon so that I could write something for it, and good practice to do a multi-chapter thing. Nabbing a favorite ship to pinch hit and getting a nice gift myself sweetened the deal. I also got a kick out of looking through the archive after it opened. Assuming I'm still making fannish things and femslash, I hope to participate next year, especially since a lot of fandom exchanges happen over the holidays when I don't have time to do all of them at once, so a summer/fall one is nice.

Kissing, touching, sensuality, etc. is fine but I am not into explicit sexual content. For this challenge I also would prefer no character death or breakups. I’m fine with angst and tension, but I’d like some happiness or hope as well.

General likes: Seeing ships work through issues. Quietly unusual domesticity. Hurt/comfort. For ships that involve a non-human component, seeing this difference played with, in terms of mannerisms, anatomy, culture, etc. Seeing the people around the romantic relationship (in-laws, family, friends) be involved in their lives in a positive way as well. Watching characters that are isolated in some way find acceptance. Banter and teasing. When at least one character is obviously out of their element. Themes of trust and partnership.

Yu Yu Hakusho: I like seeing the relationships between the human and demon or supernatural worlds explored. In this case, that could mean Shizuru helping Yukina adapt to the human world and its technology and customs, or Botan helping Keiko adapt to the supernatural, or Botan helping Yukina hone her powers, or Shizuru having an outside (yet empathetic) perspective on Botan’s role and how rough it can be. I'm also into Yukina's ice powers being used, maybe even in the form of a dragon or sword. For Juri/Koto, I’m charmed by how their initial rivalry turned into a supportive relationship and would like to see where their relationship goes after that.

Rune Factory: My requested ships for this series definitely play with my interest in interspecies relationships, so if possible I’d like to see that involved. I also appreciate how many of the characters have difficulties expressing themselves or express themselves in unusual ways, and how the others understand that. (A lot of common themes come up here, so I hope this and my prompts in the sign-ups are enough for any given ship).

Ace Attorney: For Franziska/Maya, they both have heavy burdens due to their lineage, and they cope with this in different ways but I’d love to see them grow to understand one another. For Kay/Ema, I like to think of them being roommates while studying abroad and then reuniting due to both ending up in law enforcement, both with some differences in personality (a more bitter Ema, a slyer Kay) but still very attracted.

Tales of: I’m interested by the tension between Sheena and Colette’s opposite goals in the first arc of the game, but pleased by how caring of a bond they develop despite that. I like anything that brings in Colette’s experiences as the Chosen, especially regarding the gradual loss of humanity, and Sheena’s skills as a ninja and summoner. Similarly, Chloe/Shirley could have been pure rivalry, but they reach out to each other and I’d like to see that continue, with Chloe being as gallant as possible. With Norma, I like seeing her savvy and book-smarts involved if possible. I read her interactions with Chloe as flirty. For Shirley/Fenimore, I was heartbroken that they never got a chance to go beyond the beginning stages of friendship, so I’d like to see where their relationship could have gone if given the chance.

Fire Emblem: Mist’s unconditional acceptance of Jill despite often being on opposite sides warms my heart, and I like seeing Jill pulled out of her element but them both growing ultimately through each other. For Tanith/Sigrun, they hit my love of trust and partnership as well as knightly values and the potential to be mother figures, and I’m interested by Sigrun being Tanith’s senior and captain despite their personalities. Palla/Minerva also hits the trust angle, with a knight/princess dynamic that was surprisingly personal in this case, and after all they’ve been through I’d love to see them help each other heal.

If extras come up, I’m a fan of ships from other Fire Emblem games that I couldn’t fit into my signups, including: Say’ri/Tiki, Sully/Miriel, Severa/Noire, Sumia/Cordelia (Fire Emblem: Awakening), Eirika/L’arachel, and Tana/Eirika (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones).

Moonlight trickles in through a hole in the ceiling that Minerva hasn’t had a chance to fix. She temporarily switched sleeping quarters with a pair of orphans, siblings who’d occupied the alcove, as she didn’t want the damp during rainy nights to make them ill. Now it’s a dry autumn night, though with how sticky Minerva feels it might as well be a humid summer day. Still the light is only enough to display slivers of skin over Palla’s jaw and cheekbone along with a lock of hair tucked between her shoulder and neck.

Minerva closes her eyes, letting the dark take over. Ever since she was locked away it has made her wrists tense as if remembering being tied. She shakes them now to prove she can, then opens her eyes and reaches to run a calloused thumb along the lines of Palla she can see.

Palla breathes in sharply before sighing as she brushes against the touch. Their bodies are still several inches apart, and it strikes Minerva how much Palla reacts to the slightest of things. She’s seen Palla give Catria battle pointers and push the hair from Est’s eyes, but Palla asks for so little. It’s not for lack of need, Minerva realizes that, and she’s learned—is learning, slowly—how to push through her own reservations to give.

Again Minerva shuts her eyelids, letting her hand stray to where Palla’s collarbone juts out over the fringe of her dressing gown. It’s ironic how freeing the dark is now, dropping her inhibitions enough to let her slide her fingers under the fabric and feel Palla’s goose bumps. In the daylight Minerva turns away when Palla so much as removes her armor, and she can still see the shape of the word Commander on Palla’s lips, even when they’ve spent the day praying and cooking and building side-by-side.

Katarina turns in a circle as she scans her surroundings, creating a mental map. No foliage rustles in the forest to one side of her, but she still considers which of the nearby rocks would offer cover if the trees hid an ambush. Though it’s been a fortnight since the army got into a skirmish, she can’t let her guard down, not if she’s to make amends to Prince Marth and protect Kris and the others.

She clutches her tome to her chest and rotates again. Still there is no movement. She examines a grassless patch of ground to see if any of the dirt is muddy enough to cause slipping (it’s not) and identifies the plants at the forest’s edge. Biting back a sigh, she admits she must return to camp. Despite not being sent to scout, she volunteered in order to escape everyone’s eyes. She can always feel them boring into her, and while she deserves it, it still seems as if they can see every one of her mistakes, making her prepare on impulse for a blow. Even out here, where she’s alone, being in the open makes her feel exposed. She holds her breath and tightens her grip on the tome.

A branch snaps, and she whirls. Blonde hair—Kleine—no, that’s impossible. Thankfully, when she spies orange armor she realizes it’s Kris. Her grip on the tome relaxes, then clenches, then relaxes again. She lowers it.

“Kris. What are you doing away from Prince Marth’s side? Has something happened?”

“No, the camp’s almost too quiet. Well, other than Cecille, but that’s only dangerous for our enemies.” Kris smiles, and Katarina mirrors it even as her heart begins to race. Enemies—someone else might have meant it as a jab, a threat, but never Kris. If only Katarina’s body would believe that.

“Did you need me for something, then?” Katarina asks.

“I just wanted to check on you. You didn’t eat with us, so I got worried.”

By now Kris has reached Katarina and is standing in front of her, tilting her chin down the inch it takes for their eyes to meet. Katarina returns the gaze easily; she had to practice making eye contact before infiltrating the group so as not to appear shifty, and that training hasn’t been erased. Katarina thinks she should feel guilty for burdening Kris, but she’s only pleased that Kris noticed her absence and came to find her, enough so to make her want to skip meals more often.

To her embarrassment, her stomach growls in protest at that thought. Growing up hungry hasn’t desensitized her to hunger. Before she can speak, Kris reaches into a pouch and hands over a strip of dried meat. “Here, I asked Rody for extra. And don’t worry, I didn’t have a hand in making it.”

Katarina accepts it, torn between her hunger and wanting to hold onto something as precious as a gift from Kris. Ever so briefly Kris holds her hand before dropping it, sending heat down to Katarina’s wrist in a similar fashion to when she uses magic. Suddenly eye contact is no longer easy, so she looks around again at the terrain. The wide open space still makes her short of breath. She watches a lizard crawl up a rock and wonders if she’d fit in the space behind it.

A hand on her arm makes her jump. She turns back to Kris, amazed that she could forget she’s still there (amazed that she is). “Are you all right?” Kris asks.

Katarina bites her tongue, looking down at the meat she’s now squeezing. Nodding, she breathes out before taking a bite, and then another, and then she breathes again.
