I know I've been neglecting LJ for way too long, and was actually going to make a huge post a couple of days ago but couldn't because of reasons (no electricity for about 27 hours - good times). Anyway, will make a proper post at some point (I hope), but I had to make a quick post now because I saw Sherlock Holmes: A ~~Gay~~Game of Shadows a couple of hours ago and ashjdlsgfjaldgfsakhfgsdlhfsg jesus christ. I't was all kinds of awesome, I'm tellin' ya. I'm actually still not coherent enough to actually form any other thoughts than 'omfg otp oh god oh god oh god', though, so I can't say anything about the movie itself. The epic amounts of gay, on the other hand... Well. I can deal with the hugging and the handholding and the longing gazes and the way they're completely in sync during the fight sequences and pretty much everything else, but. The dancing. THE FUCKING DANCING. I JUST CAN'T. I mean, what. First Holmes dances with Noomi Rapace (that woman is ridiculously pretty, btw) and I find it pleasant and awesome and then suddenly he has things to discuss with Watson and poor me thinks they'll just stand in a corner somewhere but no then it's "I thought you'd never ask" and they're fucking waltzing or something AND I CANNOT DEAL WITH THESE THINGS THAT I'M FEELING. IS THIS REAL OR AM I JUST DREAMING? SOB.

Also: LIE DOWN WITH ME. AND THE HALF-NAKED WRESTLING. AND "OUR RELATIONSHIP" AND THE BEARD AND AND AND WHAT. ~~And also OMFG STEPHEN FRY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS.~~

Okay. So. I just finished watching the first episode of the new season of Supernatural.

I was completely ready to feel vicious hatred towards the ep, but... I don't know. I had my... quibbles with it, yes, but I actually did like it, mostly because of what they ended up doing with Cas. See, I was all kinds of certain that the writers would fuck everything up and make Cas the Big Bad of the season, but they didn't, and you have no idea how happy this makes me. He went a bit cuckoo when he became God, and I have actually come to terms with the fact that he was still Cas, although a bit... altered. The biggest reason why I'm okay with this now is that I'm going the 'poor characterization' route when thinking about the whole thing, which also kinda gives me the chance to (maybe somewhat foolishly) believe that it wasn't 100% Cas in there, even though a big part of Cas did shine through: his righteousness and his want to do good, for example, even though some of those qualities became somewhat distorted. But I don't mind. Because after that massacre at the campaign office of Michelle ~~Bachmann~~ Walker, when he finally understood that he couldn't control the souls anymore... He was suddenly himself again. He was completely himself, and he realized how wrong he'd been and he was actually broken up about it and kept apologizing to Dean and oh my god my poor heart. :(
Which actually brings me to the second reason why I liked this episode so much: the epic Dean/Castiel at the end of the episode. I mean, sweet fucking jesus! I honestly don't even know what to say about those last five or six minutes, because I'm still trying to process it all. I mean, asdglfdhldhjhj. "I'm sorry, Dean" and then Dean's face when he thinks Cas is dead and the goddamn fucking relief when he isn't and then Dean and Bobby help Cas up and Dean is basically holding Cas' hand and doesn't want to completely let go of his arm so that he can support Cas if he doesn't have enough strength to stand and then "I'm gonna find some way to redeem myself to you" and Dean is all 'okay, yeah, one thing at a time, let's just get out of here first' and Cas is once again touching Dean and "I mean it, Dean" and the background music is making me weep because even it ships Dean/Castiel and then it's goodbye Castiel and hello Leviathan (The Leviathans? There are many of them but idk idk idk) and Dean's face when he's told that Cas has died again and fuck you feelings I don't like you. :( But. I'm actually going to stay hopeful and believe that Cas isn't dead, not really, that he's still in there somewhere and can find his way out in the end, if only so that he and Dean can have a tearful reunion before Cas dies (because I doubt that Cas will survive this season, which, yeah, so much hate, but there's really nothing I can do about it except like the show a little bit less).

Also, while I'm at it: Crowley! Lucifer! Death! Hearts everywhere, seriously. Just the fact that these three characters made a reappearance made me enjoy the episode quite a lot. Also, I really liked Sam in this episode. He believed that Cas wasn't completely gone when Dean (fuck you Dean, btw) did, and the whole wall thing was actually really interesting. I mean, one of the reasons I disliked the last episode of season 6 was the fact that the wall breaking didn't seem to have any effect on Sam whatsoever. Which, now that I think about it, actually makes sense because it was broken for like five minutes and there wasn't really any time in the episode to start exploring its effect on Sam. So yeah. Ilu Sam. For now, at least.

ALSO OH GOD CAN I JUST SAY THAT MISHA COLLINS OWNS MY FUCKING HEART. THE MAN IS PERFECT. ♥

I don't know if I've mentioned this at some point, but I am really excited about J. Edgar. I mean really excited about it. 'Screaming-and-crying-and-laughing-hysterically-while-watching-the-trailer' excited. I don't even know why. Okay no that's a lie. I know exactly why I'm so excited. I mean, there's Leo and Armie 'OHMYGODYOURFACEISSOPERFECTLETMEMARRYYOU' Hammer and Judi Dench and god knows who else. And it's directed by Clint Eastwood. And written by Dustin Lance Black. And Leo and Armie 'themanofmydreams' Hammer kiss. Hopefully more than once (you know I'm shallow and will watch almost anything if it includes a good-looking man kissing another good-looking man). AND THE TRAILER USES MUSIC BY LUDOVICO EINAUDI OH GOD WHAT. And did I already mention the OTP-ness of Leo and Prince Hammer's characters? Oh I did? Well let me mention it one more time: EDGAR/CLYDE FTW. It's ridiculous how much I ship them already. Sob.
So yeah. IS IT NOVEMBER SOOOOOOON? (Well, more like January 'cause I'm kinda suspecting that it'll take a while before it comes out in Finland. ~~But y tho? Yyyyyyyyyyyy?~~ FML.)

This is a completely pointless entry, especially after all these weeks of complete silence (I'm sorry, I really am! Tumblr can be incredibly distracting sometimes), but I had to let you know that I just watched the first two episodes of Suits.

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW RIGHT NOW OH GOD. THE CAST IS EPIC, THE HARVEY/MIKE ROMANCE (because that is totally the correct term shut up I live in a world where everything is gay and nothing hurts) IS EPIC, EVERYTHING IS EPIC.

GAH. Now I need some fic. It's 3am soon and I desperately need to sleep, but I. NEED. FIC.

Okay, calming down. So. You remember how I mentioned those entrance exams I was studying for all spring? I got the results today, and... I DID NOT FAIL OH MY GOD. I ACTUALLY GOT ACCEPTED TO STUDY SWEDISH (well, translating Swedish, but whatever). Okay, Swedish was actually the only thing I didn't want to study (I figured this out months before the exam, but I'd already bought the books, so... why not? And I only spent like a week studying for the exam so it wasn't that time-consuming), but c'mon. I can always change my major, right? (My sister got accepted as well, and I'm kinda jealous because she'll be studying English. DO WANT.)

Eh. Hello. It's... been awhile, hasn't it? Although, to be fair, three and a half months isn't really all that much considering how freaking busy I've been. I spent April and May and parts of March and June studying for entrance exams (that I probably once again failed spectacularly, but whatever), then I had two weeks of blissful me-time (and most of that time was spent catching up on things I'd missed during my two-month absence, so, yeah, maybe not so blissful), and right after Midsummer I went on a week-long family trip to Sweden (more on that later, maybe). So. Now you know what I've been up to lately. 8D

Anyway. Because no post of mine is a proper post without some fandom-induced flailing, I present to you

FANDOMS - THE MOVIE EDITION

- I've decided that I Need. To. See. Thor. I don't actually care about the movie in any way, but. But. I saw a Thor/Loki fanvid the other day and HOLY CRAP TOM HIDDLESTON WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE. I-- He-- Gah. He is so beautiful, you guys. *flails* (And c'mon, 'it stars someone I could spend an entire day staring at' is just as valid a reason to see a movie as 'there be totally gay shenanigans that I need to witness'. I mean, I even saw The A-Team just because of Bradley Cooper. ~~I is shallow, yiis.~~)

- I NEED TO SEE WAR HORSE. I mean, c'mon: one of the main characters is a horse, the story is set during a World War, and BOTH BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH AND TOM HIDDLESTON ARE IN IT. ~~Excuse me, I think I need a moment.~~
... did Steven Spielberg hire Team Awesome to invade my dreams and make a movie based on what they found? BECAUSE THIS SOUNDS SO FUCKING PERFECT. Well, okay, if it came from my brain we'd be dealing with WWII instead of WWI and Cumberbatch would have a torrid affair with Hiddleston, but eh. I WILL HIT SOMEONE IF THIS MOVIE IS NOT AS AWESOME AS IT SOUNDS. ~~And please give me a reason to ship Cumberston pleasepleaseplease they're both really pretty and I'm so fucking shallow and just pleaaaaase.~~

- Oh, also, speaking of Cumberbatch: anyone else ridiculously excited about The Hobbit? I actually didn't really care until I went to IMDB and looked at the cast list and OH MY GOD CUMBERBATCH IS SMAUG. CUMBERBATCH IS DOING THE VOICE OF A FUCKING DRAGON. THANK YOU, CASTIEL, THANK YOU. MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE. (Also, just knowing that Lee Pace is in this movie makes me feel all tingly. Rawr.)

- And finally: am seeing the new X-Men movie this week. ERIK/CHARLES TIEMS OH YEEEAAAAAAH. *draws huge hearts everywhere*
(Oh, yeah, also seeing the last ~~SOB~~ Potter movie this week. One the same day as ~~OTP: First Class~~ X-Men. This will not end well. ~~I will not have any tears left after Thursday. Just sayin'.~~)

Haha, oh god, I was going to start this year by updating at least once a week, but... well. Guess that didn't really happen. xD

- Spartacus: Gods of the Arena brings me more joy than it should. Idk, maybe I just really enjoy watching people being decapitated and otherwise mutilated and beaten to bloody pulps? Which, if true, should creep me out more than it does. xD

- finished Secret Garden yesterday. It was an epically awesome show, even though I would've loved to see more of Tae-sun. Idk, he was adorable and I wanted more of him. :D

- the more I watch Athena: Goddess of War, the more it bores me. Plus, you know, the main pairing makes me want to shoot myself. DNW.

- Tron: Legacy was kind of awesome. Definitely no masterpiece, but it was enjoyable and the visual effects were so freaking beautiful. And the music. Gah. I don't usually listen to Daft Punk, but the music in this movie made me happy. Seriously, I sat there with this huge smile on my face whenever the music was particularly epic, which was quite often, actually. Heeee. ♥ (Also, um, daddy!Flynn/Tron OTP yes no yes? 8D) ~~Alsoalsoalso omg hello surprise!Cillian Murphy! ♥~~

- still haven't seen the heartbreaking Southland episode that has made everyone and their mother cry. Which is probably a good thing, 'cause I don't need depressing things in my life right now. ~~I like being happy, okay?~~

- I spent pretty much the entirety of last week playing Final Fantasy X. Good times. Defeating Omega Weapon made me feel more accomplished than I've felt in ages. Ah. ♥ (But I did not remember how ridiculously depressing the ending is. Sob.)

- am I enjoying Hawaii Five-0? Let me give you a clue: Steve/Danny OMG FUCK YES + Alex O'Loughlin is ridiculously handsome. Add to that information the fact that I am incredibly shallow, and you shall have your answer in no time. XD

(Also, I finally posted this year's scrapbook. Better late than never, right? 8D)

Imma be making a sane-ish post at some point, I swear, but right now I really have to get this out of my system:

SUNGKYUNKWAN SCANDAL OH MY EVERLOVING GOD WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE. I AM SO MADLY IN LOVE WITH THIS DRAMA. SERIOUSLY. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. It's exactly what I want dramas to be: cracky, happy, flail-inducing, bromance-y, awesome, well cast (there's so much chemistry between everyone that I don't really know how to handle it all omg), interesting, awesome... did I already say awesome? I lovelovelove the four leads (although all the actors are good imo), but Song Joong-ki and Yoo Ah-in are definitely my favourites (and not just because both are kind of delicious). They're just so brilliant at bringing their characters to life. And speaking of their characters... OH MY CENSORED GOD I SHIP JAE-SHIN/YONG-HA SO HARD. MY BRAIN DOES THIS FRYING THING EVERY TIME THEY EVEN SHARE A SCENE AND THEN THEY KEEP ACTING LIKE SUCH AN OTP (YONG-HA TOTALLY HAS A HUGE CRUSH ON JAE-SHIN BUT DOESN'T REALLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT ~~EXCEPT LEAVE HINTS DISGUISED AS JOKES AND BROMANCE-Y SHENANIGANS~~ IN FEAR OF LOSING JAE-SHIN) AND THEN MY HEART EXPLODES AND I MELT INTO A PUDDLE OF GOO AND AM BARELY ABLE TO REASSEMBLE MYSELF IN TIME FOR THEIR NEXT SCENE, WHICH THEN MAKES ME EXPLODE AND MELT ALL OVER AGAIN. SIGH. IT'S A VICIOUS CYCLE, REALLY. WELL, A VICIOUS CYCLE THAT'S NOT PARTICULARLY VICIOUS AFTER ALL.

Ahem. Yes. I ship it. XD But also, those two really are my favourite characters. Don't get me wrong, I love all the characters (well, some I just love to hate ~~I'm looking at you, Ha In-soo, you bastard~~), but there's just something incredibly fascinating about Yong-ha. There are so many sides to him, and learning about him while he slowly changes and reveals more about himself is a truly amazing experience. And Jae-shin... well. Let's just say that I love him. With all my heart. ♥ He's so beautiful in every way, a character that is flawed yet (to my mind) perfect at the same time. Aaaaah. (I desperately want to marry him and have his babies (when Yoon-hee told him that he'd be a great husband someday I just sat there with a dreamy smile on my face and kept nodding vigorously because OH GOD YES SO TRUE).) ♥ Plus, you know, he is fucking gorgeous. RAWR. I think it's the hair. I love the hair. The hair makes me want to do incredibly dirty things to him. Oh god. (At the same time I'm also incredibly jealous of the hair 'cause it looks really fucking good and I want to be able to rock that hairstyle. Seriously. FFFFFFF.)

Uh, yeah. I could seriously go on and on and on about this show and the characters and the actors and the music and the scenery and the clothes and the overall prettiness and awesomeness of it all, but I won't. At least not right now. All you need to know is that this show evokes ~feelings~ in me (and I love that, 'cause it doesn't happen nearly as often as I'd like), and you should be prepared for a possible overdose of those ~feelings~ because I might really need to flail to someone about them (and because my sister hasn't seen the show yet I can't talk with her about it ~~or I can, but she'd just ignore me~~, so you're next on my list XD). Heee. ♥

Oh, and btw, happy new year everyone! ♥ Hope the first week of 2011 has been good to you. :)

I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 for a second time today, and I think it's now pretty safe to say that my favourite scene in the entire movie is Hermione telling ~~Harry~~ us the tale of Death and the three brothers. The entire movie is breathtakingly beautiful, yes, but that part is so incredible: the animation is just so perfect. Ah. ♥ (I'm also particularly fond of any and all scenes with Fred and George, probably 'cause of what'll happen in the next movie. D: Sob. Ilu, boys. ♥)

Also? Nick Moran looks really fucking good in this movie. Seriously. God. *draws hearts*

A VERY LIMITED AMOUNT OF MORGANA!SMIRKS! SAD MERLIN (OR HAPPY-BUT-TEARY MERLIN, HOWEVER YOU WANT TO SEE IT)! GWAINE! PERCIVAL (WHO WAS TOTALLY AN ARTHUR!FANBOY)! EXCALIBUR! EVERYONE BEING BADASS! GWAINE! SIR LEON BEING HIS AWESOME SELF! CROSSDRESSING! ARTHUR/GWEN MOMENTS THAT WERE ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD! ARTHUR AND MERLIN BEING TOTALLY IN LOVE! GWAINE! MERLIN AND LANCELOT BEING TOTAL BFFS! THAT LAST SCENE WITH MERLIN AND EXCALIBUR AND THE STONE AND ASLAJFGSAKFGH! ARTHUR KNIGHTING GWAINE AND LANCELOT AND PERCIVAL AND ELYAN AND GWAINE AND AND AND mmm Gwaine /FLATLINES

... the only thing I did not like about this episode was the lack of Gwaine/Merlin scenes. SOB, IHU SHOW. ~~I may need some fanfic now.~~

Oh my god, guys. I'm watching ~~last night's~~ the latest ep of South Park, and... just... omfg. Cartman has become Mei from Tonari no Totoro. I LOVE IT. :D ~~(Totoro-references in South Park. Sigh. My life is now complete. ♥)~~

Also, I'm sort of in love with Never Mind the Buzzcocks. I haven't been able to find all the seasons (if any of you would happen to have season 21 (or know where I could get it) I'd pretty much give you my firstborn), but at least I have most of the episodes with Noel as a team captain. *draws hearts* ~~I believe I may have to rewatch some Booshy goodness now. *needs moar Noel* Ah. ♥~~

(Also? I've spent the entire day (lol I've only been awake for three hours) wanting to watch Doctor Who (I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the fact that the very first thing that popped into my head when I woke up was 'ooh, I want to make an instrumental fanmix for Amy/Rory'. *headdesk*). This is inconvenient because I don't have the time to rewatch DW right now (I have way too many other TV shows ~~and movies omg D:~~ to watch). Blah.)

- I got the Inception soundtrack in the mail today, and I gotta say that HOLY FUCK I THINK I LOVE THIS SHIT MORE THAN I LOVE THE SHERLOCK HOLMES OST OMG. *dies* Hans Zimmer is now officially my favourite composer. Gah. The man is a genius. ♥
I haven't had a chance to listen to the soundtrack more than once, but right now my favourite tracks are Dream Is Collapsing (this track especially made me jump up and down and squeal like a little ~~pig~~ girl because oh my god so freaking gorgeous), Mombasa, One Simple Idea, Dream Within A Dream and Time (Time reminds me of that one track from the Pearl Harbor OST that I can never remember the name of, uh... Brothers or something). All the tracks are glorious, though, and listening to them makes me want to rewatch Inception right this freaking second omg. *_*

- I'm pretty sure everyone's already seen this, but just in case you haven't: Joseph Gordon-Levitt singing 'Natural Woman'. *sigh* He... actually sounds really good. ♥ My crush on him is reaching unbearable levels. Why must he be so adorable? Why?! *sobs*

- New season of Merlin in less than two week. Not exactly excited about it, but hopefully it will be better than the second season (and, btw, maybe season two really was good, but I've only seen it once and the only thing I can remember about it is 'ugh Arthur/Gwen noooooooooo' ~~which most definitely is not good~~ D:). And even if the show fucks everything up I'll still get to flail about how adorable Colin Morgan is, so I guess it's all good. :D

- Would Britney Spears' 3 be too obvious a choice for an Amy/Rory/Eleven vid? 'Cause every time I listen to that song all I can think of is 'omfgdoctorwhoot3omgyesyesyes' and that... is not good. XD

- I finally started watching Battlestar Galactica a couple of days ago, and oh my fucking god you guys it's so good agh. It's way too early to tell who my favourite characters are, but I'm definitely starting to think that Roslin is one of them. She's so kickass. I love it. ♥ I also have this completely weird and unexpected fondness for Gaeta. Idk, he's just so adorable. :D *flails*

- Random observation of the day: I need to do something about my tags. And lay. And profile. And... well, everything. Blah. Do not want.

I'm tired and depressed and haven't checked my flist in days (sorry, guys! D:) and I was most certainly not going to make another Inception-y post so soon, but then I read this Eames/Arthur fic and just oh my god, guys, my heart. D: *sobs* It's beautiful and perfect and so them and it made me realize how desperately I need them to get a happy ending. D: (I'm feeling way too angsty to think about this any more than I already have, but right now it feels like the more I think about them, the more I realize how utterly doomed their relationship (or not-relationship, 'cause sometimes I wonder if they'd ever actually manage to get together before it's too late) is ~~unless there's a miracle and they get their happy ending and my heart is spared from all the pain~~. Gah.)

... and I am clearly way too obsessed with this pairing omg. Someone point me to some glorious and happy Inception fic 'cause this is depressing the shit out of me. *sobs*

(Also, my need to vid Sherlock/John is slowly becoming too great to resist. ~~Maybe I should concentrate on this instead of angsty thoughts about Eames and Arthur. Hmmm.~~ But before I can actually do any vidding I kinda sorta have to learn how to use Premiere. D:)
