¡Hola, Hola!

Welcome to Paginas.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to start writing and applying long forms of expression in writing to my drawings. Instagram was always the easiest platform to share but with the rise of AI and the loss of control of how our data is used, it felt like the right time to find other avenues. I still plan on sharing on Insta and Twitter, but I will be limiting what I publish through those platforms.

For those who don’t know me, Hello! My name is Janet, or JanE, as my family calls me. I currently live in sunny Orange County, California and work in the city of Los Angeles, California. I work as a full time character designer in animation but these days I’m most passionate about sketching… capturing life on paper. Specifically, creating more traditional work… ink and paper. Thus, my focus for the year will be composing a physical sketchbook. Imagine, an actual book you can turn pages instead of scrolling! Very innovative.

Anyways…

These days, my desk is very mobile… laptop, iPad, sketchbook and pen/pencil. When I AM home, this is my working desk. In this particular moment, I had just moved my desk into my bedroom and was restructuring my work day since I was working in-house now…
