Terms and Conditions

Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Faust Network, Inc. ("Faust," "we," "us," or "our") governing use of Roc Camera devices, software, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services

Roc Camera is designed to capture photos and generate cryptographic proof artifacts. Core capture/proof operations run locally on device. Certain optional features may connect to cloud services, including Explorer registration and upload flows.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts to use the Services.

Accounts, Devices, and Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your device and network environment. You are responsible for activity occurring through your device, including access to locally stored photos and proof data.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have all rights needed to capture, store, process, and upload content through the Services and that your use does not violate laws or third-party rights (including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or surveillance laws).

Optional Upload and Registration Features

If you enable cloud-connected features, your content and device registration information may be transmitted to third-party infrastructure used by Explorer-related services. You are responsible for deciding when to use those features.

No Legal or Forensic Guarantee

Cryptographic proof outputs may support integrity and provenance workflows, but we do not guarantee admissibility, legal sufficiency, or acceptance by courts, regulators, platforms, or third parties.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful conduct.
• Interfere with security, integrity, or operation of the Services.
• Reverse engineer or misuse the Services except where law permits.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or devices.

Software Updates

The Services may check for and apply software updates, including over-the-air updates. Updates may change or remove functionality and may be required for security and continued operation.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information in connection with the Services and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to some or all Services if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users, Faust, or third parties.

Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAUST WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, CONTENT, PROFITS, OR REVENUE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FAUST FOR THE RELEVANT DEVICE OR SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Faust and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, and you consent to those courts' personal jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms with a revised "Last updated" date. By continuing to use the Services after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
