I figure now is a good time to do an art dump! Although if you're watching me on tumblr, you've already seen these (I've only posted the illustrations & AT ID up on dA).

theywerecones drew herself as an Adventure Time character and I ended up doing it too! She also started a pretty awesome tumblr where you do just that, so check it outttt.

I drew a fast and dumb comic about my cats and how they react to something as simple as a washrag on their heads, which is also pretty telling of their personalities.

I never draw Spring from Seasons (or Autumn, for that matter) and I have only a very loose idea of what they look like. I need to fix that.

Winter, on the other hand, I know what she looks like. But she's really hard for me to draw.

Black Hat, who no longer as a hat. Some folks thinks he's so angry all the time because someone stole it (someone did, but that's not why he's angry. But he would like it back).

Sorry about the yellow! I wanted to draw something with some shape to it.

I had started doing a lineup of characters from Seasons, but then I got really distracted but everything. I ended up drawing Deirdre, though? I have no idea what she is doing, though.

I never seem to draw Rhys and previous attempts always made him look kind of girly. Finally he looks like a dude, whooooo. I also needed to figure out the sort of clothes he wears. He's sort of a soldier. Sort of.

Giant art post! I've been holding off on posting until I had lots of things to share, haha;; Though chances are if you follow me other places, you might've seen some of these already.

I had started rereading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, and felt like drawing how I saw Door.

Some bitch idk. I don't remember what I was doing lol. I think I was just bored.

Started a thing of Margo! I was planning to draw a bunch of folks from that story, but then I started doing something else, forgot, and lost my motivation. Oops.

I did harveyjames "Choose a Cat, Draw a Girl" thing! It was a lot of fun.

Oh. Hello, Hook. What are you doing here.

If you don't know him, he is a character in a comic I've been working on since high school, who has an appetite for human. Oops. He's also BFFs 4 LYFE with a robot girl named Momenti. But their relationship is not at all creepy.

I decided to try drawing Hook (at 4/5 AM. in the dark. while lying in bed jrhet) with short hair, because I was considering cutting it at some point in the story. He does get the scar (from either Claire or Julian) later, so I figure he'd be stuck cutting his hair at the same time, if I go with it. /shrug

This is Claire, the protagonist from the same comic as Hook. She really has no idea what the fuck is going on. This dude named Calm saves her life and in return, all he wants is for her to deliver a message to the four personified seasons. And Claire's just like "eh whatever man!" except EVERYTHING GOES TO SHIT and then everyone dies. Goddamnit, Claire.

I realized I never posted what I did of my Hazards of Love series that I was doing for an art class I did over the summer. I know I posted what I started but that's it. Granted, I never actually finished the series, oops. Here's a few, in any case. (They were meant to be these long/tall illustrations, but I never finished them)

I was thinking of what a Red Riding Hood princess would be like and what demographic Disney hasn't tapped into yet. So I decided that the prince would be the Wolf, who is a lady, and the Woodsman is the villain, who will probably actually be a Woodswoman instead. And at some point while drawing this, I decided that Red would be a witch.

Illustration work eeeeeeeee! I slapped my name on these for once because it's actual work aw yeahr.

This is old! But I found it and decided I should probably upload it here. Claire and Other!Claire, though I assure you that she is not some DARK EVIL HALF to her, and is instead something else entirely.

Haha, just a doodle from last month! First drawing of a character from my 24 Hr Comic. He is enlisted by his mom (who is far more majestic looking than him, and has wings and shit) to help a human girl named Meri find her little sister, Lou. He really doesn't want to and would much rather eat mushrooms all day long. Unlike his mom, he can't fly, but later doodles of him gave him long fingers/claws so he's a very good climber instead!

Draco, what are you doing here. GET OUT OF HERE.

I posted this earlier but I forgot to link it on my main journal, so here you go again. Another character from 24 Hr Comic Day named Regina, who is queen of the world Meri (and Lou) find themselves in. She has four arms and she's actually pretty nice, but she wants the sisters out of her world so she does everything she can to help Meri find Lou as quickly as possible.

Old thing! I drew what I wore to a job interview, which really isn't that much different from how I usually dress.

Unnamed werewolf lady, who is BFFs (maybe more) with a werewolf hunter lady. I've had trouble drawing them (even this isn't right), mostly because I don't actually know what setting they belong in.

I drew this yesterday! I drew a thing! OuO Haha, her name is Bianca (also in the last drawing) and she lives in the woods. Everyone in the town outside the woods thinks she's a crazy lady, but really she just took over the care of her fathers land (the forest) after he died and has to chase out anyone who trespasses without permission. People who think she's crazy and avoid her/the forest because of that is awesome, but sometimes dumb kids want to see the Crazy Forest Lady and she gets stuck having to chase them out, which is not so awesome. Anyways, she's one of the protagonists to my NaNo story, though I haven't been on the site to update my wordcount since the beginning of the month. 9__6

I have been sort of dead and not.. drawing anything, really. I have some things here or there but I had to format my computer AGAIN. So I had to reinstall Photoshop and I've yet to reinstall the driver for my scanner. I finally reinstalled my tablet, though, so there is that.

Oh look! A tegaki thing! She is a character from a comic I was doing for 24 hr Comic Day, but I never got to the part where she shows up because I came down with a nasty cold halfway through the day and couldn't continue. She's unnamed, but she's got four arms and she's a queen. Whooooo.

I have to finish up some stuff with the comic and reinstall my scanner's driver and then I'll have more to post. Sorry for being so dead. D:

Mab and Red from my comic Lion Dance, which is on hiatus until I rethink some stuff and then.. at some point redraw the pages sob sob.

The general rundown of the story for those that didn't know me when I was working on it: world ends, things go to shit, chunks of humanity survive, blah blah blah. Things look bad and everyone gives up hope, but then some dude starts preaching about spirits called Lions that would come and lead humanity to it's salvation. Shit like that. With something to look forward to, the survivors start rebuilding civilization and by the start of the story, they've pretty much gotten back on their feet. A few cities, a fairly young government that's still working out the kinks. And it turns out that for the past 10 years, the Lions have been arriving, and they've all received the same message: Humanity is beyond saving. Find their own kind, find sanctuary.

Anyways, Mad and Red are both Lions. Yup. I like how I rarely draw the main character, Michael, yet I draw these two almost constantly. Lion Dance came from a dream I had in.. '07, I think. Haha;;

I haven't drawn Wendy (or ~~her better half~~ Abe, who didn't get drawn in favor of going to sleep after I type this) for a while, and here she issss. In all her ~~cannibal~~ glory.

I was playing with the layers and this made me think of taugeh_city, s-so there you have it! :D;

A-Anyways, Wendy (and Abe) are two "antagonists" from my now-defunct webcomic, Lion Dance. I would really like to keep going with it, but I am horribly embarrassed to look at it or to share it with anyone who hasn't already read it. D: While I was working on it, I was experimenting with stuff/had no idea what I was doing, and once I had better footing I wanted to rescan/repost the pages.. but then I misplaced a few of them. And then when I found the pages again, I wanted to redraw all of them. 9_9 I really, really like this story and it's simple enough, so maybe I will get to reworking it one day in the near future.

The entire story actually came from a dream I had, where the world ended (yes, another one fffff), but chunks of humanity still survived. Some guy starts preaching about the Lions, spirits that'll come and lead humanity to salvation and rejuvenates their sense of hope. They start rebuilding civilization, and about a century later, the Lions start being born. Except when they wake up, they all receive the same message: humanity is beyond saving. Find their own kind, and find sanctuary. And while finding each other is the easy part, they don't know how the hell to get to this sanctuary place, and on top of that, they're being chased by humans who desperately want to be saved. D-Did I forget to mention there are folks called Coyote's (which is what Wendy is) who are meant to eat anyone left behind by the Lions? And that since the Lions aren't saving anyone, that means everyone? Oops. GOOD GOING, GUYS.

I was going to draw Abe in to the right, but it is 5 AM and I think I will go to sleep instead, haha. If I am still feeling up to it when I wake up, I will finish it up, but for the time being: GOOD NIGHT.

We were doing portraits and profiles in art class last week, which was good fun but led to a lot of people falling asleep while they were modeling, haha. xD I read a book while I was up there (for an hour D8) but one girl fell asleep to the point where she was slumping down in the chair AND HER FACE KEPT DISAPPEARING BEHIND THE ARMREST AHHHH.

Sketch page while I was in City Dock Coffee (local Annapolis coffee shop) this morning. Doctor Who, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Merlin, SHARK, pug, and in the bottom right is The Magicians fanart.

-I kind of love Eleven (I HAVEN'T SEEN THE SEASON FINALE YET PLEASE NO SPOILERS), and I hope it looks at least kind of like him :(
-The pug loves Eleven. It is so.
-SAILOR MOOOON and Mars, over there. I do want to do some Sailor Moon fanart for Otakon this year. Also, I think that if Luna ever got pissed at Usagi, she'd shit on her bed or something. idk (my old cat would shit in my bathtub if she was mad at me, which wasn't so bad since it was in the tub and not my bed)
-IT IS NOT AN ANGRY SHARK. It's a sleepy shark. Gosh.
-Ranma 1/2 was the first manga series I think that I started buying and reading! I have the manga lying around somewhere in my room, but I remember the first story I ever read was *~GYMNASTIC MARTIAL ARTS~* or whatever. It was seriously the stupidest thing and I loved it.
-In The Magicians, there's a part where some of the students have to spend a semester in Antarctica, and in order to get there, their professor turns them into geese. And the mental image I got was pretty rad, and I'd like to do a real drawing of it, but have a doodle of Alice doing it instead.
-Merlin is saying "The once and future king? More like once and future pain in the ass" because Merlin and Arthur are a married couple (originally it was going to be Merlin in a wedding veil and Arthur being all LOL). Also, UTHER. UTHER THOSE MAGIC PEOPLE WOULDN'T HATE YOU SO MUCH IF YOU'D STOP OBSESSING OVER MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC AND IF YOU WOULDN'T BE SUCH A DOUCHEBAG. JUST SAYING.

I still want to know what happens to him (highlight for spoilers: the beast eats his hands to keep him from casting magic. later the surviving/conscious protagonists drag him and Quentin out, but they come across a door that leads to a library or something I think, and he vanishes into it. the white stag tells quentin later it can't restore his hands because he's either not in fillory or he's dead) Anyways! I have a love-hate relationship with Penny, because he's great but he's also kind of a paranoid dick. Not to be intentionally mean or anything. He's just like that.

Alice and Quentin from The Magicians. There's a part of the book where Alice calls Quentin by a number of space-man related nicknames because for his final exam, he was trying to make it to the moon. And idk my favorite was "Major Tom" and I thought it was sad/cute all things considered sob sob ;m; THOSE TWO. THEY ARE BOTH SO STUPID ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO EACH OTHER AGHHHHH. WHY ALICE WHYYYYY. YOU ARE BOTH SOCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY RETARDED. *cries forever*

H-Hi, new people from the friending meme! Thank you for watching me. :D I'm sorry I don't have anything interesting at the moment! D:

_{(also sorry to extrateeth and taugeh_city for belated art presents. ;m; I was going to finish them Monday but then I ended up having a crazy day and I WAS KIND OF USELESS ahhhhh)}

For art class homework over the weekend, we were supposed to do a copy of an artist of our choosing. Of course, I am horribly at time management and ended up cramming it in to an hour. Ah haha..;;; But yeah, I was torn between Kay Nielson, John Bauer, and Arthur Rackham and I ended up choosing the latter and this one called The Goose Girl? I did absolutely no justice, of course. I started making mistakes and said "fuck it" and started winging a lot. Argh.

Salem, who is pretty much my only vampire character, who is also from my only steampunk story. O-Oh. But basically there's a fog that covers 80-90% of all landmasses, and the fog makes people really, really sick if they're out in it for too long and they'll eventually die. Upper class (government, doctors, scientists, military, folks with lots of money, etc.) took to the sky on floating islands, while everyone else was left to go underground and make huge communities that started in the subways and sewers, but was eventually expanded. They've been down there for so long, it's having an evolutionary impact on everyone underground so that people start adapting to little-to-no light.

Blah blah blah, it turns out that there's another world even further underground than the tunnels, entirely inhabited by these not-really-vampires, and they're never supposed to leave and are kept inside by beasties, but Salem says FUCK YOU GUYS one day and manages to dig his way out (only to get caught in a debris-clearing blast while the humans are expanding their tunnels GDI SALEM).

And then these two stupid things of Salem and one of the gal protagonists, Jack. She meets everyone much later while she is building an airship of the husks of an old and broken one she had found in the tunnels. Pretty much no one underground has blue eyes, and having blue eyes means that the person will progressively lose their eyesight and go blind. And yeah, Jack has blue eyes. So she really, really wants to see the blue sky outside of the fog before she goes blind, and so everyone decides to help Jack out. Initially just to help her get her wish, but eventually turns into GEE I WONDER HOW MUCH WE CAN PISS OFF THOSE RICH FOLKS LOOOOL and then some other plot stuff I never really fleshed out. But it was mostly them flying around and pissing off grumpy old rich people with no sense of humor.

I was reading this book! The US title is How to Make Friends with Demons, which is a really dumb title and not appropriate. The actual name is Memoirs of a Master Forger, which is way more apt. Basically it is about this book forger, William, who can see demons. I really recommend it! Very good book, but don't go in expecting a plot, haha.

Another character from Memoirs of a Master Forger, who I didn't draw nearly pretty enough. :( His name is Jaz and he's a male model, so let's just pretend that this is him when he's not working?! Anyways, William and Jaz (and another guy, Stinx), meet in a bar while William and Stinx are drowning their sorrows in booze after their ladies dump them. And Jaz tells them they should date men instead.. EXCEPT HE JUST GOT DUMPED VIA TEXT MESSAGE. So then they get drunk together and become BFF'S 4 LIFE .

I wanted to redraw some characters I hadn't drawn for a while, so i drew Sid from Widdershins. He ended up coming out mess less happy than he is in the original line-up. But anyways, Sid is immortal, has been all his life, and his aging is starting to slow down. For the most part, he doesn't feel pain (or rather, his brain doesn't interpret the signals right; like really severe injuries are like papercuts: very annoying). He doesn't really get what it means to be human or mortal, so he takes a lot of stupid risks and expects other people to be able to do the same things.

Possible "antagonist" of Traveling Light (scifi comic). No name yet, but he's been creeping into drawings of Margo lately.

One of the people trapped on the ship in Traveling Light, named Lily. Everyone expected her to be a mechanic/engineer/something, but Lily really dislikes working with her hands is a huge computer nerd instead.

Some random faun/satyr?! I don't really know the difference between fauns and satyrs, honestly.

In art, we were supposed to draw something we found outside in our sketchbook, but I am bad at taking directions and turned this leaf/branch thing into an antler. And then I hated it. Oops.

So I started redoing my Hazards of Love drawings for art class. They're all 4.5x12 (or around there), still using the circle theme to some extent. This will be the Bower Scene.

Another Hazards of Love thing. This'll be the Queen's Approach and Isn't it a Lovely Night? combined, because I hate Lovely Night, and wanted to make it more visually interesting and separate from Wager All. *babbles*

Annan Water. None of these are done, but I like this one the most so far? I'm a little scared to ink these when I get to that point. :(

Have some things from the first week of class, derp derp.

I was using the wrong kind of pencil and the wrong kind of paper. Boo.

The drawing class I'm in is a combination of Drawing 1, 2, and 3. Because it's 97% Drawing 1, everyone else has to do the same things and listen to the same lectures as the Drawing 1 folk, and man. I took that class last year. In January. So kind of zoned out and started drawing the people in front of me. :( But she's going to set up individual plans with us for the 6 weeks, and then we'll get to do our own things. This week has just been kind of lame, haha.

I normally don't like blind contours because they just turn out to be scribbles usually. But BUT we were doing skulls yesterday and somehow it did kind of look like it at first. But then I ran out of lines to do the contour on, so I just started redrawing it down the page and got more bored/impatient. But I still like it and think it's interesting.

This is not from drawing class, but today in Lit. We have been discussing Oedipus Rex, and someone asked if there was a god of fate. And I got really frustrated because I couldn't remember the Greek equivalent to the Norns (and now I remember it's the Moirae ffffffff), and then I started thinking about Janus even though he's Roman and it went from Janus to a fate with three faces. idkkkkk. There was going to be another pair of arms and more going on, but class ended and I don't feel like continuing.

I have way too much fun with Pet Society on Facebook. =A= The blue-green guy is Finch, who is mine. The chick is Boxy, who is theywerecones :D She drew them way more interesting and better than me, haha. You can see them hereeeee! And.. that guy in the bunny suit is.. Hideeni. D: Who is a rapist, I swear. He's like an Easter/spring special or something, and he'll pop up randomly in your house. In your friends houses. In the gardens. In stores. In the neighborhood. EVERYWHERE. O_O And he has this grin on his face. And if you find him and click on him, he gives out Easter eggs ~~laced with meth~~. I slapped this together in less than an hour when I was exhausted at 5 AM and should have been sleeping!

Rogue~! One of my favourite X-Men. I wasn't really intending to ink this or anything. I drew her in my shitty little sketchbook and then I liked it enough to ink it, even though the paper I used is not pen/ink friendly. Might draw Gambit next, derp derp derp.

WIP of Charlie from LOST. Does it look like him? idk. It was fun to draw regardless. I scanned the sketch in because I'm going to start inking, and I'm scared I'm going to mess it up since I haven't inked anything lately. And yeah, it's only him in season one (or two? I can't remember when the Virgin Mary statues came in to taunt him).

I love Charlie. :( But Faraday is my new favourite, so whoo! (I am not caught up on LOST at all though, oh dear)

Despite it not really being a gijinka or anything, still coloured her like Flareon. xD (I can't help but imagine Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon being three bitches. I also don't know about the other Eevee evolutions after the 150. SO. Yes. FUCK YEAH ORIGINAL 150/1!)

Tablet is working again. I think what's been going on is some problem with the driver + Windows 7? Because I didn't have any problems until after I upgraded to 7. Wacom just released a new driver on the 15th, so I'm installing it to see if that fixes the problems I've been having. Because it's not an issue with the pen or anything. My laptop and tablet just haven't been communicating. Tablet lights up and flickers, that's it. :| So, hopefully this works. gjrhekhtre

I actually drew some stuff today/last night. I had other stuff lurking around that I hadn't scanned because I hadn't felt like reinstalling my scanner driver lately, but finally got around to it. Some stuff people will recognize from FB or twitter. All of the digital stuff was done before my tablet died again. SIGH.

Okay, this wasn't a tablet thing. I did this yesterday with the touchpad of my laptop while being awesome in the comments of some really dumb girls dA account with dezembered. IT IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DRAWN. IT IS A MASTERPIECE. I should submit it to dA and see if I get a DD.

Thing I did before tablet died of Black Hat. In a suit. One of these days I should draw him in something that isn't a suit, but he just looks wrong in anything else!

Jane Doe meeting a bird priest. This one's a robin, but didn't get around to colouring it. It looks all weird 'cause this was the first thing I drew with a new soft brush pen I had bought, and I had never used one before.

More playing with brush pen, drew this. Was thinking of Athena and Artemis and meshed them together.. even though she totally has an antelope head (I think? I can't remember what I was looking at!)

Started sketching some chick a few nights ago, who I had decided was a modern Persephone (which prompted a post asking about peoples favourite mythologies and gods on my LJ). She plays the cello and she has tattoos of waves and flowers, and some random words and quotes. idk.

This is Sarge, a fairly minor character from Seasons, but he's grumpy and fun to draw in all his emaciated glory (though he has nothing on Black Hat).

This is the girl from this dream. I have more sketches lying around, but nothing to show. More stuff before tablet died again.
