Hi, I’m Rob Migchels!
Technical Lead & Digital Strategist
I specialise in enterprise WordPress solutions and technical strategy. Currently, I serve as a Tech Lead for a major financial institution, overseeing a web portfolio that drives significant annual revenue.
My background involves more than just development; I focus on the intersection of business strategy and automation. I help organisations move beyond maintenance mode by implementing intelligent workflows and long-term architectural planning. My goal is to build digital products that are self-sustaining, efficient, and robust.
I was an organiser for WordCamp Netherlands 2024 and host the recurring WordPress Meetup in Eindhoven, Europe’s foremost innovation hub.
Previously, I co-founded and served as operations manager at Wepplin, a digital agency focused on custom WordPress solutions.

16 years of WordPress engineering.
My journey began with building small sites for local communities in 2010, evolving into a professional career by 2015. Today, I architect enterprise-grade WordPress platforms that drive millions in annual revenue. My focus has shifted from simply building websites to engineering scalable, automated digital ecosystems.
Every platform is different. The standards are not.
While every platform I build is unique, my technical strategy is always underpinned by four core principles:
User-Centric Workflows
Technology should increase productivity, not anxiety. I design interfaces that reduce cognitive load, ensuring that the complex systems I build remain intuitive for the teams using them every day.
Performance & Sustainability
Lean code equals a faster site and a reduced carbon footprint. By strictly optimising transmission networks and processing power, I ensure digital products respect both the user’s resources and the environment.
Engineered for Longevity
The WordPress ecosystem varies in quality. I prioritise engineering standards over quick fixes, creating platforms designed to remain secure, performant, and robust on day 1,000 just as they were on day one.
Native-First Architecture
I leverage core WordPress functionality wherever possible. This “native-first” approach maximises compatibility, reduces reliance on third-party dependencies, and ensures a seamless, uniform experience throughout the admin interface.

Curious what that looks like?
