Wicked Part 2 Review

So quickly the big over all complaints I keep seeing:

No the second movie isn't boring, it isn't slow, it isn't awful. It wraps up and explains what we were told in the first part of the musical. And I very honestly think it did a great job with that. The only reason it's "slow" or "boring" is from them splitting it up into two parts. Unlike the musical where it's two full parts at once.
I stand by that if you don't fully understand what's going on that you need to go look up an explanation of the source material and/or find a slime tutorial and actually watch it on stage. It MATTERS for this movie. Otherwise it's going to be disaster and like in number 1 - people are going to get bored and complain about it.
The movie is political but the entire musical and source materials are (and have forever been) as well... -shrug- but it is a pretty good allegory to what America is going through now. And no orange man isn't Elphie.
The movie isn't graphic at all. I will say on this end I am a bit disappointed. I was hoping we'd get a better sex scene with Fieyro and Elphaba (since it's pretty obvious what is going on while on stage and the book is weirdly graphic as well). The tin man transformation was all hidden and I was really wanting to see how they pulled it off vs on stage.

This movie isn't meant to be about Dorthy. The fanfic of Wicked just ties it all together and the house that falls on the Wicked Witche's (Elphaba) sister died. We see Dorthy but only from behind. It's also NOT Dorthy's fault it all happened or that she was in the way. What she experiences is horrible in her own right but don't blame her for any of this.
Yes there are plenty of Gelphie vibes going on but please remember (and I ship them as well) Fieyro and Elphie (in the play) are meant to get together. I know it's up for grabs in the book and I'm not technically one to speak with tuggoff.. but this is something important to note. Fieyro is going to "get in the way" because he's meant to. He and Elphaba get together.
The extra songs added were actually really good. They got deeper into both characters and helped explain the plot more. (except one that was painful)

Over all I really liked the world they set it in. It gave OZ a real world feeling that you could step into. I do wish they had explained the "12 tides have past" a bit better (aka it's been a year since the last movie).

The reprise of the Wizard and I just had me like: :O. Like where was this ENERGY during the original!?!? THIS WHAT I WANTED. Her version of the actual song in Part 1 was SO disappointing. And then in this reprise it was suddenly OK?!

I loved Ariana's Thank Goodness. My only real critique was that she wasn't wearing Glinda's outfit from the Broadway play and instead wore another ball gown. (but then again - she looks so beautiful in any ball gown ^ ^' ). Her voice was perfect for the song and she hit all of the notes perfectly. I was so proud of her though for handling that song as well as she did. I know it's not an easy song even if Kristin made it look effortless, and I thought of all songs Ariana couldn't carry this one (and its not her fault just lack of experience) and then she SHOT IT OUT OF THE PARK. It was beautiful!!

There will be a scene with the animals where Elphaba meets them and asks them for help. There is going to be a big bear. ;3; they added Elphaba's Nursemaid from the book into the movie. I was so excited I couldn't believe it. I forgot they added her to both movies. She's one of my favorite characters from the books.

Also in this scene is a god awful song called "No Place Like Home". I'm going to need the Cynthia fans to back up and admit this song wasn't her best. She sounded off key and it just sounded "wrong".. you could tell it was shoved in to give part 2 more music. As much as I hate/despise/loathe entirely her Wizard and I — it was better than this song. And maybe the blame can go to the producers for forcing a new song in? Whoever we're blaming it was awful.

Fieryo was hot as well (as always) but I will say, his singing in As Long As Your Mine just solidified the fact that I don't think he could pull off Tugger. I've had a few people bring this up and minus the obvious fact that he's not trained to dance - his voice doesn't do it. When the OG soundtrack came out XD I thought it was JP in HS. It's a very Tuggerish voiced song and sadly Jonathan couldn't reach the notes and it kind of fell flat.

On this note - I really didn't like the staging they did for As Long As Your Mine. I almost wrote the song off because they were just singing to each other across the room. Also what a random sweater (but it was pretty).

I know I sound like I just want to see sex on stage but I'm going off the setting and acting of what I've seen on stage. The two of them are locked in together singing closely and it's heavily implied that they do the deed. I was just waiting for a better chemistry to hit and it never happened. They just stood at opposite ends of the hut and at the very end got together.

So Nessa. I did like how they tried to turn her into a grade A bitch but there was something still missing. I know that we don't need to forget this character went through something and was sheltered but she didnt turn "evil". She just signed some acts into law that were... meh. I know they hurt the munchkin's, I'm not saying they don't. I just mean ....that's all she did. Also her over bearing nonsense with Boq. Like girl, LET IT GO. I'm wondering if it's partly because of the actress that they didn't give her time to be evil — ya know? it just suddenly was and it was so fast, it was a little like: ...o_o kay so.. ANYWAY.

Oh my god. WHY DID SHE JUST FLOAT INTO AIR?! Elphaba did the spell to help her walk but instead just floated?! o_O. That was kinda funny though, ngl. And it's not that she was disabled as the reason it didn't happen. This is done on the stage for every show and all of the girls I've seen as Nessa on stage are in a wheel chair (and I love that the show does this). IDK just rubbed me wrong.

I feel like the message (and I could be wrong) with her being able to walk and still not being happy is that Elphie can not make her happy no matter what. She literally gave her sister the ability TO WALK and wasn't grateful. Then she goes and ruins Boq and Elphie saves him as best she can and it's still Elphie's fault.

Boq's transformation into the Tinman was disappointing for me. I was hoping they had gone a slightly more graphic than the stage play if only to show it physically happening with updated CGI.

But then when he transforms and busts out of Nessa's office... since she can't walk, she just sits there and watches him take off? (it sounds like I'm complaining about her being paralyzed. I'm not. Just going off the musical she can walk after the spell and it was just weird how that didn't happen and because it didn't happen, the scenes that immediately followed it were off and weird.)

I will say I liked the movie's version of "Wonderful" more than the play. I like that they included Glinda in there to help sway Elphaba into joining them. The play version honestly bores me, but then all of the "Wizard's" songs do. Also the visual of them on the swing was good.

And when she agreed but they released the monkeys. :o the monkeys were creepy.

I feel so bad for laughing but when Madam dropped the house on her because of this random ass large tornado out of no where dropped it right on Nessa... I snorted. I'm still giggling at that.

Update: I've seen this movie 2 more times and I still burst out laughing when the house just goes "PLONK" on top of one girl, on the small sidewalk streets of munchin land and didn't mess up any of the other houses. XD just went SQUISH.

I did love the interaction with Elphie and Glinda when she comes to say goodbye to her sister. THEY HAD THE GIRLS FIGHT LIKE THEY DO ON STAGE. OMFFFG I was so happily trying not to scream. XD "Put me down I almost had her!" As she's kicking and screaming being carried off by a guard.

Cynthia's No Good Deed was ok. She didn't sound "angry". She only sounded IDK upset? But like barely? By the finish of the song, Elphie is supposed to be SO MAD that she turns evil. This didn't feel like she was mad afterwards.

Cynthia can just sing dramatically most of the time but half the time misses the nuance (to me) of what the song is calling for.

I really liked "Girl in the Bubble". It helped give us a deeper look into Glinda and her past. Also baby Glinda was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. But for this song, I liked when she was finally forced to see reality and see what she'd been avoiding her entire life. She had to step out and see what she'd been apart of.

Oh yeah and I think it's at the beginning (?) but Glinda gets her bubble and its so funny. She just keeps going up there to pop it. Madam Morrible got annoyed with her (which i'm so sick of seeing — lady stuff it.) and just waved her off.

SO that damn song that makes me cry each time. It gets me in the theater when seeing it live — like I'm ugly sobbing and I didn't know what to expect in the movie.

I will say it was good. It was really really good. It broke my heart seeing the girls having to say good bye to each other knowing they'd never see each again. And then the added detail of visually showing (more than onstage to me at least) Glinda physically breaking down behind the door watching Elphie die.

It just... god it hurts. It hurts SO BAD.

In the theater was leaned back in my chair trying to quietly sob as my heart was broken in two just like it always is. My poor mom had to find me tissues because it wouldn't stop.

And then at the very end — I was SO happy that they managed to pull out the finale of the play!

Ending Opinions

— I do not want the roles of Elphaba and Glinda to change on the stage play. I don't want the role of Elphie to be solely a WOC or Glinda to be only a white girl. That diminishes their characters and who they are and that all girls can see themselves in both of them. (Something I did growing up). I don't agree with the tiktok conversation of how quick Elphie went back to being "White". Elphie is green. We need to remember that and keep that about her. The new broadway girl won her part fair and square and the insults and backlash have been SO UNCALLED FOR. I thought we were past race and that we wanted to focus on talent and singing ability? What happened to that exactly? Oh.. are we no longer doing that? That was bad right? It took a long time to move from it — don't go backwards. You can't follow the rules when it only suits the character you're wanting to be cast a certain way.

— New fans who have just seen the movie: you do need to go see live or watch a slime tutorial. SOMETHING. And I need you to sit, listen and watch the actual play. No playing on your phones, no texting, no complaining that its not like the movie.. just actually WATCHING IT. I want you all to sit with it. Sit with the differences on what you liked and didn't like and then move on and go back your movie. DO NOT whine and complain that the broadway show is just awful — it came first. It's a well written, well rounded out musical that has had so many other talented Elphies and Glinds and you all claiming it's only the movie girls are insulting to everyone else.

— Insulting Idina Menzel's Elphaba doesn't make you different, cool, or showing up the status quo. It comes across like you're blind to how wicked started, you refuse to see the actual play and are just looking to make people mad. She doesn't have to be your favorite but to trash her and throw rocks at her like this and trying to be self important bitches claiming Cynthia can't be topped is so damn rude and it's honestly showing you how inconsiderate, immature, ugly and mean you are. Without Idina and Kristine — these characters wouldn't exist in a musical for your precious movie and the new girls to even take on the rolls.

— Cynthia isn't the only WOC who played Elphaba. Go do actual research and find the other very talented women who have stepped up for the role before she even existed.

— I do not like Cynthia. I'm sorry but I can't. The moment she took the story from Elphaba and what it meant for that character and made it her own and who she was and how she wanted to portray a different message — she was dead to me and I could no longer like her. I'm sorry. You're playing a part of a girl who is green trying to get by. Sure you can use your own experiences but don't publicly say that now Elphaba is you and you are Elphaba. You're not and I refuse to give into that. You are an ACTRESS who PLAYED Elphaba. Elphaba exists without you in her costume and that won't change and shouldn't change. And no amount of convincing will change my mind, I don't like her a person, as a singer, as an actress, even as a human. We'll have to agree to disagree.

I feel like I've always KNOWN this about myself... but after junkyard-gifs so graciously started posting part 1 Misto from the AU tour and not just sparkle butt... I've fallen in love all over again.. like really.

I need my Misto wearing socks and being sassy!!

Don't get me wrong — I love a sparkle but I need my fluffy tuxedo cat.

Welp was told by an Apple tech guy that even if I fixed my Mac book pro battery /replaced it the computer would still die because the motherboard is going.

😞😖 I’m a Graphic Designer I live on my laptop. I found out I’m thankfully get a reasonable bonus that would pay almost half the cost of the new computer but I’ve got to scrounge up the rest and pray that keeping him plugged in will keep him alive.

Look out for “flash sale” of commission art to try and do a bit of the scrounging.

I’m only half panicking over this. 🥴 I haven’t had a new MacBook Pro since 2008 in design school. I keep trying to do used but I think if I can swing it - it’s time for a new one not on its last legs 🫣

I'm really hoping I can do extra art commissions even though I now in this day and age that is hard and I can't blame people for not wanting to or being able to.

I hate when I make "enough" at my job to have just "enough" but the moment a big thing breaks its over. T_T.

When I do get my computer (not if but when... I'm determined because I can't live without a computer) I'm trying to decide if I want to try and name this one Tygra... OR if I finally break my mold of certain animes and TV shows and try something different.

Part of me wants to name is Robin. I haven't had a computer named after him as I was waiting for a good technology to do it for. The other part of me wants to go completely unhinged and name him Alonzo just so I can yell at it when he messes up.

His name is Jordan Roelfze and from what I've seen I love his Misto. He makes that new awful wig look good (which I thought was impossible). Though he has a proper fluffy butt (part 1 Misto) so that's a win.

Also his widdle pink nose is adorable. T_T.

CATS AU

So on tiktok I'm able to actually speak and watch the dancers do their thing back stage.

First off — no sadly, Jacob isn't on like that. He's too busy teaching. I wish I could at least speak to him but.. sigh. I just want him to know he's my favorite Misto. Tho he's probably tired of hearing it — I just never got to tell him as a kid..

Anyway- SECOND: They will respond and interact with you!! (obviously be polite and don't be creepy) The Misto who came on after Xavier (they were training him after Axel left) is the sweetest cutest thing I've seen. He's so damn chaotic and just unhinged. His name is Tim and he's so talented.

Edward Smith is their Plato (he's not my favorite characterization of Plato — separate entry coming soon but off stage he's hilarious) and he's like the social media guru. Well he's responded to a few of my comments including what ice pop flavors he prefers. It sounds so silly but it makes me happy.

But so like Edward got Tim Haskayne, Skimble, and I think Tumble (?) all a labubu. And they were going to do an unboxing video. xD Tim was so happy like the camera shook.

And I commented on the post and he liked my comment.

MISTOFFELEES LIKED MY COMMENT.

Then I decided to draw Tim's Misto freaking out over a lububu

Called a Girl Doctor

Finally started a convo with a girl doctor. I fully expected her to just say 'sorry you're over weight — can't help' and instead we spoke about my symptoms, heavy painful periods, the hair growth on my chin, etc and I was floored.

She immediately started asking what I wanted to fix. She said that since I've been prediabetic for 5 years that it was just my PCOS doing the insulin resistance crap and once we got THAT figured out — it would just go away!?

Like what!?

So I got on a few meds and a birth control to try and level it all out.

The biggest issue is — I have to learn how to actually eat 3 meals a day. I usually do 2 which I know isnt helping. T_T

Friday night after going to Olive Garden for my actual BD dinner, I had those weird pains again in my chest. And that Nausea came back. I wound up throwing up all night and finally had enough with the pain and discomfort with my chest hurting. I texted my parents at like 7:30am and was like I can't take it anymore and I'm going to urgent care. I was in too much pain to drive but dad came and took me. Since I said my chest hurt they sent me to the ER.

I've never been to the ER before that wasn't a bad thing. Good or bad, my family has been blessed and we only go for the drastic.

I was panicking so bad. Screaming, crying, etc.. I just didn't want to die. I look back now and feel bad I know dad wanted to fix it and couldn't.. and I couldn't stop the panic once it started.

They gave me some xanax (more than I usually take) and it finally calmed me down. I got a CT scan, blood work, ekg etc... and they came back with Gallstones.

I originally thought we were going to just remove those, but according to my mother since she, gmommy, and Aunt Beth lost theirs.. i'm next in line. SO. RUDE.

I'm terrified of the money aspect as my FSA only goes so far. I maxed it out this year for my meds and girl things. Also like surgery?!

Birthday Got Snowed Out

Well — my 40th birthday got snowed out DX. America and I were unable to head down to the beach house for our long weekend. I'm sad but I'm also glad we didn't go. Cary wound up getting a TON of snow and ice.. so much so we were afraid we'd lose power.

Thankfully I stayed with mom and dad — just incase we lost power. And we celebrated with home made french toast! My BD present was seeing Shaun Cassidy in Dec.

I still need to write a review. DX omg I keep forgetting. I got to shake his hand!

I got invited to a new discord server to watch CATS — like actual footage of the Australia cast, Vienna, and whatever else. I'm a bit nervous as I'm so awkward when I try and talk but I'm also excited.

I finally had to make a second list for favorite Misto's. So Jacob is on his stool over there at the top. But then... Xavier Pellin... T_T I found him and I'm in love. His Misto does things...

I found out he's been Misto before in Asia but something about his make up this time is a teeny bit different (though tbh it looks the same when I looked for art references T__T)

CATS Review 2023

Ah yes my last show that I saw.

I've been rewatching clips and I'm starting to remember that Pekes and Pollicles was the best thing in that entire play.

The entire thing was so sped up like put on 0.5 speed out of no where. They didn't sit and enjoy anything.

Mistoffelees was Ibn Snell. The video is here.

Another cutie but the version of Misto he did was just weird. All of this extra dancing, random couple dance, again he didn't even bring Old D back. His turns were fucking amazing though.

My face the entire production was this:

If I remember right however, we finally got a good Tugger. At least to me. He did his own thing and was hot while doing it.

However, their Pekes and Pollicles were fun. The extra Misto scenes were cool as well.

I'm hoping the next tour will get rid of this new random choreography and go a different direction. T_T. Or at least slow the hell down.

Why are we rushing things? I want to say POTO was the exact same way. Are people losing their ability to focus so badly that now musicals have to be badly sped up? >_<

Sorry if I sound like a debby downer but after experiencing the original a few times, experiencing "that revival" was a disappointment tbh. I do love CATS, I swear.

9 HOURS TRAIN TIME

I have 9 hours until I have to get onto the train to head down to Charlotte. Miles is going to be picking me up at 1pm.

We're going down for Halloween. It's going to be a CATS, Sebastian, Horror Movie, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Holiday!!

I've brought all of my cat ears and cats stuff and then my bassy purse.

I'm just worried about my night night fitting. I can't remember how I packed it. SIGH.

I also posted all of my CATS show reviews to Tumblr. Thanks little me for refusing to tag shit. I had to play detective. XD

In the morning:

— Take trash to dump

— Cover Drains

— Pack night night in suitcase

— Grab charging cords from side of bed

— Put laptop in book bag

ME — MY HEADPHONES ARE IN THE BAG.

I can do this. We got this. And the train will be fun!!

And just like the old days, I'm ending the night with my favorite Jacob Brent interview. (LOL, 1 of 2.)

The interview I traded for on VHS is now on youtube so I get to watch it as many times as I can. I still can't believe people thought he was straight. DX Dis boi ain't straight.

I managed to post all of my CATS reviews to Tumblr. I hope people like them. I'm afraid I got depressing at the end but the revival kinda sucks, so. o_O

CATS Tour Revival 2019 Review

I saw CATS in June of 2019 and it was my first exposure to the Andy Revival and I remember I was so upset XD.

I was right, the Mistoffelees I saw was Tion Gaston.

I do remember he was a sweetie and so cute and talented. So none of this criticism or bitching is to him at all. <3

NGL - This was the first version of CATS that halfway pissed me off. But this was the same year the 2019 movie came out as well so I was already an angry annoyed CATS fan to begin with.

Tugger's number was so weird and had the giant mirror that randomly showed up out of no where. This was the Tugger that was so loud it hurt my ears. His microphone made his voice louder than the music and physically hurt.

This was the first time I saw the extra Mistoffelees scenes however where he did a conjuring turn during Tugger and during the Jellicle Ball. I liked the extra scenes.

All of the songs had extra dance numbers slipped in - the random tap dancing during Mistoffelees really bothered me.

Misto didn't finish the magic trick. The kittens did it for him. And when he disappeared was when we got the gazillion strobe lights turned to the level of the sun and blinded literally everyone in sight (I'm convinced Tion was just as blinded after it was over).

I kept joking with my friend "We get it - he disappeared"

I really don't remember much from this production tbh. I just remember leaving extremely disappointed that while I saw CATS - it wasn't CATS if that makes any sense?

Little Prince: Sicktember Day 1

Sicktember Day 1

"It's in the middle of the night why are you up?"

Note: This is my own world where my own dancers are in CATS the musical. All of these sicktember prompts run with the idea that Andrew (Mistoffelees) gets pneumonia and is sick for a month and it gets pretty bad.

Characters:

Darin: Munkustrap – he’s very protective over Andrew and has been there since Andrew made it to NY to play Misto

Blake: Plato/Macavity – he’s obsessed with Andrew and just wants to keep him safe and love on him. He calls Andrew Kitten and rarely calls him by his name. He’s very hands on with Andrew and Andrew is fine with it.

Matt: Tugger – he and Andrew are together and an item

Eiden: Alonzo – he’s from Australia and is dating their Munkustrap. He and Darin have a back and forth relationship going on.

All 4 of them (yes even Eiden sometimes) dote on Andrew. This is very Gakuen Heaven inspired: all the semes revolve around and love on the one uke.

Andrew is the main character of the story. The entire world revolves around him and his desire to play Mistoffelees on stage. The time frame is like the late 90s early 2000s but with our recent technology.

All of them are in their 20s. I don’t claim that any of this is even 5% accurate on what happens on stage. Nor do I claim it's medically accurate, I'm just having fun.

Yes, it’s so dramatic on purpose but eh it’s my world. All of these prompts are an AU universe and do run in some sort of order. After I’m done with Sicktember 30, I’ll make a master list to put them all in order.

Darin tossed and turned unable to sleep. There was too much to do the next day and he couldn’t work his way through it yet so he could rest. He sat up sighing, holding his head in his hands. He glanced to his side and saw Eiden was fast asleep.

He got out of the bed slowly and quietly not wanting to wake the other up. He stepped out into the hallway and shut the door behind him.

He started to make his way to the kitchen. As he did he saw a light was already on. He assumed it was Blake and didn’t worry about it. He just yawned and made his way down there. Walking in he quickly saw he was wrong.

“Andrew?”

The smaller one startled, “Darin?”

“What are you doing up?” He eyed the other dancer concerned. “You’re usually not up this late.”

The other was unable to make eye contact as the kettle finished boiling. “I’ve been achy all day s-so I came to drink that tea that Blake drinks when he thinks he’s getting sick.”

Their Munkustrap got closer and picked up the kettle carrying it over. Their Mistoffelees backed up and let him pour the water. “Why didn’t you say something earlier?”

“I thought I was just sore from dancing. I kind of took a rough ending to the conjuring turn this afternoon. You were working with the girls. It was just Eiden and I.”

“How rough of an ending?”

“…he…well… he had to catch me before I smacked face first into the dance floor.” The smaller one sighs coughing into his arm. “I rarely make mistakes on the turn. That’s when I knew something was wrong.”

Darin sighed, dunking the teabag for Andrew into the cup a few times before pushing it over. “If you already have a cold, this tea won’t help much I’m afraid.”

Andrew smiled weakly sipping at it. He makes a face shuddering. “O-Oh it tastes awful.”

The other is unable to hide the amused look on his features. He reaches out and presses his palm against Andrew’s forehead. “You are a little warm.” He then moved down feeling both cheeks. “And you’re flushed.”

Their Mistoffelees stubbornly continued to down the awful tasting concoction. “You know n-nothing-“ He coughs again having to set the tea cup down.

“Mmhm. Stay here.” Darin pats his head as he steps out into the hallway towards the bathroom.

Andrew slumps forward onto the counter exhausted. He just wanted to calm down the achy so he could sleep. He rested his flushed cheek against the cool counter top. He looked up at the offending tea cup and makes a face before coughing again.

A few minutes later he hears footsteps and turns expecting Darin. “Kitten? What are you doing up? It’s very late and-“ It was Blake.

Before Andrew could say anything else the other dancer had walked over and started feeling for a fever. The smaller one sighed, waiting for Blake to finish just like Darin had. “D-Darin’s looking for it.”

“How long have you been feeling like this?” Their Plato asked worried. “I hope you didn’t dance your way through it.”

“No. A-At least I don’t think so…” Andrew shrugged.

The red head watched as their Mistoffelees moved back and forth on either foot, stretching out his legs. “Come over here. Take a seat. I can tell you’re aching.” He held out his hand and smiled when Andrew took it. He gently led him over to the table and pulled out a chair. “There – just relax.”

“I thought your tea would help..” Andrew commented before coughing.

“The tea only helps if you drink it before you’re sick, kitten.” Blake looked into the mug seeing half of it was gone. “Otherwise it’s just an awful tasting cup of flavored water.” He smiles over at the smaller one.

He smiled back, leaning his head on his hand against the table. “I-I’m sure it’s just a cold.”

“Perhaps.” Plato leaned on the counter. “Hopefully that’s all it is. We’ll keep a close eye on it.”

Darin appeared in the doorway with Matt behind him. Andrew groaned, hiding his face under his arms. “I-I didn’t want everyone to wake up…”

“The thermometer was still in your bathroom.” Darin stated worried at how fast it took the other to sound hoarse and stopped up.

“Kitten, why didn’t you wake me up?” Matt asked, looking somewhat offended that he wasn’t the first one awake to help.

“You were fast asleep a-and I just came to make tea… Darin appeared in the doorway scaring me crapless and then Blake came in…” Andrew sighed. He lifts his head coughing more.

Their Tugger made his way over to the table and he sat beside him rubbing his back. He takes the thermometer from Darin and sighs, “Open. Let’s see how bad it is.”

The other obeyed and let the cool battery operated thermometer push into his mouth. He held it there looking up at Matt pathetically.

If everyone had stayed asleep he would have been able to fake it and be ok until the morning, maybe even during practice. Now, however, he didn’t want to hide it.

The one beside him pulled him to where he was laying back against his chest. Andrew sighed relaxing as best he could just wanting to curl up.

Blake and Darin exchanged knowing glances but waited quietly for the soft beeping noise. 30 seconds later they heard it and waited for Matt to pull it out to see.

Andrew just curled up against Matt pulling his knees up coughing then sniffling a bit. It was all hitting at once.

“Sorry kitten, you’re sick. 102.” Matt handed it to Darin.

“Noo…” He sighed pathetically. “I was looking forward to the show tomorrow night.”

“We’ll see how you feel tomorrow but for right now - bed.” Darin instructed getting nods from the other two.

Andrew got to his feet frustrated at his body and started to trudge towards the hallway. Blake was waiting in the door frame and reached out hugging him, “I’m sorry, kitten. It will be ok. You will be able to curl up on the couch for a bit – maybe play that switch game Matt got you.”

Andrew hugged him back nodding. He pulled away a minute later, his energy disappearing. Matt walked up behind him and gathered him into a cradle carry. He waved the other two good night then carried the smaller one back to their room.

Their Mistoffelees curled up into a ball coughing more as they went into their bedroom. “I-If I’m sick.. I’ll get you and everyone else sick…maybe I need to sleep on the couch.”

“Hey – look at me. You’re not sleeping on the couch. I’ll take an immunity booster, we all will. I know you don’t sleep well by yourself.” Matt gently sat him on the bed before fluffing the pillows.

The other sighed annoyed at himself but nodded. He laid back into the pillows stretching out his aching body. His eyes grew heavy as he drifted off.

Updated Head Canons

After discussing Jake and John with the new friend, I'm starting to realize that while I tried my best to not 'insult" Jacob by turning him into an "uke", I did him a disservice. He really was bright eyed, new, barely out of the closet, but talented dancer.

Which makes sense. In the late 90s and in the south, one didn't just "come out" unless you had a good support system. Given, I am seeing he has a great family (via social posts that are public, I didn't stalk T_T) and so I'm assuming great support.

But listening to him go on about being in CATS, he was a little shit but seriously had no idea (or so he says) about the outside world. He played pranks on everyone (like tying their tails together XD) and also helped convince the other dancers to do stupid things, so he wasn't the perfect serious dancer I had him originally being.

I tried so hard to not insult him if he ever found this shit (even though he'd be insulted from all the mess that came with it so wtf), that I missed him entirely.

So, Little me, I apologize for telling us to avoid that side of things. The side that we both enjoyed writing.

If nothing else, this is full permission to write what we want now XD just keep it friended over course.

John's photos that are out there for everyone to see show him being more comfortable with who he is and what he's doing. He's apparently a very calm person — doesn't like to scream at people. He and his partner have discussions and never say bad things to each other.

He also apparently prefers to be naked as much as he can. Which tbh lends to some pretty funny scenarios between the two of them. I don't know either way on how Jacob would feel about that but it would be hilarious the first time it happens. XD

But knowing what I do now, John could have played a bigger roll in helping him come out and be himself. I know for sure he could help him buy clothes that fit.

I never really thought about the shirts Jacob wore until I spoke to my new friend. XD they don't fit very well and make him look bigger than he is. My boi is tiny. So I think John would help him buy clothes that actually fit and were slightly in style.

But it also goes back to the idea that he didn't really come out yet so he just wears what he has to, so he can fit in.

Also found out he retired from New York City Ballet for health reasons and took a year off. He said he needed surgery. I thought I read somewhere a long time ago that it was tonsils, which explains the wincing and hard time swallowing in my favorite interview. But it wasn't a tough surgery because he was going to shows in NY, we have photos from the year 2000.

I know in 2001, he goes over to London to be Mistoffelees there. Which does lend to him being in love with John and wanting to see him.

John is now a master chef and the other thing I want to add is him dabbling in it when he's dating Jacob. Like they don't go out often for dinner because John wants to cook for him. And he winds up making these amazing 5 course meals that are better than any restaurant.

Also I want to add to it all that John helps Jacob out of his shell and helps him break free and be himself more. This helps in the future when Jacob marries his husband (he acts more "top" with him).

I met a new friend on tumblr. They are super sweet and I love them so much. They also pair up Jake and John as a couple. I've had so much fun speaking to them and enjoying our time and discussions.

I'm actually able to show my stories, art, and head canon's off. I'm thinking of bringing her over here to see the insanity and where it all began but I'm not sure. Don't want to scare her too badly.

Regardless — I'm loving showing her and sharing our ideas together!!

CATS — Korean 2013

So I'm not quite sure what Korean cast this is but it's from 2013. I'm also not sure if this was a professional production or not.

I will say it was super duper cute and I LOVED their Mistoffelees. He wasn't a nervous wreck persay but he had SO much energy and was just spazzing out.

When it was time for Misto's song, he didn't come down from the top but appeared above the stove in the exact same costume from part 1.

However, his turns were amazing and he was precious.

One thing that cracked me up was that this Mistoffelees was BOOKING it. It was a speed run of where's Waldo.

The set in this production was fascinating. I actually couldn't tell if there were ramps or stairs but they were just walking down what looked like air half the time. I was impressed.

The costumes were cute. I ADORED their Rumpleteazer and their fangirling Ecetera. Their Tugger was trying to be like John Partridge and actually for the most part pulled it off.

And their Choreography... oh my god. It was a literal copy of the movie. It's why I'm second guessing whether or not it was official.

Seeing it live will copy a majority of the movie because it was Gillian Lynne who did the choreo. But there will always be some minor changes. Nope. This was almost a full, if not full copy.

Made it easy to find other cats but it was kinda strange.

Sicktember Day 4

“Pneumonia”

Blake looked up from washing dishes at hearing more hoarse coughing coming from the sitting room. “Kitten… are you ok?” He finishes washing two glasses and waits for a response.

The other three were at practice. He had decided to go to the evening practice before the show to keep an eye on Andrew. The youngest had a cold that was quickly turning into something else and Blake didn’t like it.

He only hears more hacking coughs. He sighed pulling his hands out of the soapy water and walked into the sitting area.

Andrew was on the floor coming in from the hallway wrapped up in a blanket. “’m okay..”

“Why are you on the floor?” The other asked walking over and kneeling beside him.

“Tried to walk back to get my blanket and was too tired to go any further…” Andrew admitted hoarsely.

“Come on, let me help you back to the couch.” Blake helped the other stand steadying him as he staggers slightly. His eyes narrowed worried, “This fever has yet to come down and that coughing sounds just awful.”

“I-It’s fine…” Their Mistoffelees said in a raspy voice. He was thoroughly stopped up and could barely breathe as it was. “J-Just a cold..”

“Kitten, we need to get you to the doctor. It’s more than a cold at this point.” Blake sat on the coffee table tucking the smaller one in.

Andrew laid back on the couch breathing heavily through his mouth since he was stopped up in his nose. He felt dizzy and achy. And the coughing.. it was bad. He curled up on his side coughing again, this time gunk coming up. He reached for a tissue not expecting it.

Blake rubbed his back as he coughed it up. He took the tissue putting it with the others. “Here, rest. I’ll go get your more kleenexs, cough medicine and some tea.” He heard a weak moaned thank you. He picked up the mess keeping an eye on the newest one.

He got into the kitchen and threw everything but one away. As weird as it was he knew what to look for. The gunk was a deep yellow.

Andrew at the very least had pneumonia.

He just had to prove it.

D: Practice is over, we’re headed back. How is Andrew?

B: Kitten is sick. The fever still hasn’t broken. I think he’s got pneumonia. We need to get him to a doctor before it gets worse. Untreated – its dangerous.

D: I’m assuming no Misto?

B: Get Kyle in. There is no way our kitten can dance through this. He sounds awful and I’m not sure he’d complete a turn.

D: Ok. I’ll let them know. I’ll take him to the doctor before the show.

Andrew heard rustling as Blake got everything ready that he could for the performance that night. He sat up watching groggily, “I-I can help..”

“No. You need to lay down and rest.” Blake shooed him back to the couch.

From the hallway the three house cats came over to the sick one. Mistoffelees pawed at his owner before curling up in lap. Skimble sat at his feet and Munk sat at his head. Andrew was surrounded.

“Good – keep him there. Don’t let him up.”

“…..D-Darin… we need to tell him…”

“I’ve already texted him.” Blake reassured the other patting his head. “He’s going to pop over here for a few hours and take you to the doctor before the show. I’m guessing your Tugger will be joining since you three can never seem to separate.”

“….f-feel bad for Eiden…” Andrew sighed groggily. “He just wants Darin b-but I can’t get Darin away from me…. A-and I feel bad that I don’t want him to leave…but Eiden deserves b-better…how do I do it…?”

Their Plato glanced over and smiles. He finishes getting his after show clothes into his duffle and the meal he had made into the cooler beside then got back up and walked over. Andrew had fallen asleep. He reached down and smoothed the dark hair back, “Eiden can handle himself, kitten. You just need to rest.”

He tucked him in more making sure he was comfortable and safe before turning on a relaxing music channel on the TV. “Darin and Matt will be here soon..” He then as quietly as he could snuck out.

If he wasn’t a damn good Macavity, he would have let the swing on and stayed behind to let Andrew curl up against him but not tonight.

Matt paced at the cross walk nervously, “I’ve texted him three times and he hasn’t responded.”

“Mate, if he’s as sick as Blake made it out to be, he’s probably sleeping.” Eiden offered patting the other’s shoulder.

They were also waiting on Darin who had stopped long enough to call the theater and let them know the Mistoffelees understudy would be on.

Matt stopped and glanced back, “I can’t believe Andrew actually called out…”

“That means he really is sick.” Eiden smiles weakly.

“We’ll just take him to the doctor and get some medicine to ease the symptoms. As long as he rests, he’ll recover. I do think we need to quarantine him to one of the rooms. No need for everyone to get sick.” Darin came over startling both of them.

“I’ll just keep taking that immunity booster.” Their Tugger stated seriously. “Andrew doesn’t sleep well without someone with him… you told me that when we first moved in together.”

Their Munkustrap blushed a bit as Eiden gave him a look. “…n-no he doesn’t…” He then looks to his lover. “And get your mind out of the gutter. Andrew was too close to breaking out from Rand to want any of that. He just wanted to feel safe.”

“Maybe we should all be taking these immunity boosters.” Eiden sighed holding his hand out for one as Matt divied them out. “I still want to know where he got it. We don’t do anything but go to practice, maybe shop, be in the show, and come back home.”

“It could have been anywhere.” Darin sighed worried. “I’m going to take him to the doctor once we’re back. Matt, you’re welcome to join. Eiden – I’m not sure if you’d like to or just stay home and chill… you said there was a face mask you wanted to do?”

Their Alonzo grinned, “Smooth silky moisturizing face mask straight from Korea.”

“Aw the blue ones? I wanted to try one as well… so did Andrew. Blake swears by them.” Matt groaned frustrated. “Do you still have the under eye patches? The gold ones? I think I need them.. my under eyes look awful.”

“I do but it can’t work miracles.”

Their Tugger popped their Alonzo up the head, “Very funny.”

Andrew sat up trying to catch his breath. His chest was heavy and it hurt to breathe. He coughed hoarsely trying to get what ever it was to come up. His ribs hurt from coughing so much, his sides kept catching in burning pain.

Skimble paced in front of him on the coffee table meowing a few times. Mistoffelees was sitting on his shoulder, keeping his balance with each barking cough.

He kept hacking wanting it to come up. He opened his eyes looking for his water bottle… he must have left it in the kitchen. He pulled himself to his feet regretting the movement immediately and staggered towards the hallway wall that lead to the kitchen coughing the entire way.

The three cats followed closely.

The kitchen was spinning as he tried to find a glass or a cup anything.. he made his way over to the cabinet and reached up to pick up a drinking glass. His vision spun and his energy gave out. He fell very ungracefully to the kitchen floor, the glass breaking beside him as he did. He tried to pick it up but cut his hand.. the coughing started up again and it wouldn’t stop.. he was forced to lean against the counter with a bloodied injured hand.

“Andrew?” Darin called walking into their penthouse. He kicks his street shoes off then steps into his house slippers. “We’re home. Are you…” He trails off at seeing the bloody hand prints on the counter. “ANDREW?”

Matt and Eiden looked at each other confused, “Darin what –“

They heard hoarse barking coughs coming from the hallway that led to the sitting area and saw bloodied hand prints following the one hunched over. Darin hurried over, “Andrew? Look at me what happened?”

Andrew coughed again this time hard enough to finally dislodge whatever was in his chest. He pulled away from Darin to cough it up into his hoodie sleeve not having anything else, a lot more came out than he expected. He was left panting and wheezing. “D-Darin…i-it hurts…”

“We’re going to the doctor. This is more than a cold. What did you do to your hand?” He sat Andrew down on the couch. “L-Let’s remove the hoodie first… it’s a mess.” Gently the pulled the soiled CATS hoodie off the smaller frame leaving Andrew shivering. “Matt go throw that in the washer.”

“Here –“ Eiden handed Darin a cold wet cloth. “Use that. It’s all over the place.”

Matt came back not liking how much wheezing Andrew was having to do to breathe. “Kitten, can you breathe ok?”

“…n-no… it hurts when I do…” Andrew admitted wincing as the wet cloth went over his face and then arms. He glanced down at his hand eyes widening, “I-I broke a drinking glass.. I need to – to –“ He doubles over coughing again.

“Eiden or Matt will clean that up. Let me bandage your hand then we’re going to the doctor.” Darin said as he reached up to feel for the fever he knew was raging. He glanced down at the younger one, the brown eyes were heavy and glazed over. He smiled as best he could once the coughing fit was over and helped Andrew curl up on his side. “I’ll go get the medical kit and a new hoodie ok?”

Andrew just moaned in agreement as he closed his eyes sleepily.

Andrew woke up to a cold wind hitting his face. He groaned attempting to bury his face to get away from it but then heard traffic sounds. “…where…”

“We’re almost there, kitten. Just relax. You were sleeping peacefully so we didn’t want to wake you.” Matt explained hugging the smaller body in his arms closer.

Andrew looked around groggily then down at himself. Another shirt and hoodie had been put on him. He could feel a bandage on his hand. He was covered up in a blanket. He just relaxes against Matt’s chest closing his eyes.

Darin glanced over and reached out patting the other’s head, “Just rest. We’ll get it sorted out.”

“…what about the show…?”

Darin looked to Matt and they shared a worried glance. “Kyle is taking your spot and we’re trying to figure out who will stay with you.”

“n-no I’m ..I’m…” He sits up coughing hoarsely shuddering as he does. Matt puts him down and rubs his back as the coughing fit continues.

“Kitten, you are anything but ok. You were really bad off when we got home earlier. You need someone here until we get all of this under control.” Matt explained steadying the smaller one by his shoulders.

Andrew wheezes trying to get his breath back. He didn’t see how terrified Darin looked. Matt was scared but he had siblings and had experienced this before. As long as he got medicine and rest he would be ok.

He had a break in the coughing fit and leaned back against Matt exhausted. “Are you ok for now?” He heard him ask. He nodded not having the voice to talk and was lifted up again into a cradle carry. He relaxes and curls up as close as he can in Matt’s arms.

“You do have pneumonia, I’m afraid and it’s a fairly bad case of it. Have you ever had it before?” The doctor asked the one on the examination table.

Matt and Darin were sitting in the chairs beside it.

“n-no… just colds.” Andrew replied hoarsely. “I was never sick like this growing up… once I-I got to New York it all started happening.”

“I see you’re from North Carolina. That is a different environment from the city but it’s also a lot more people. I see you’re a dancer on broadway. Which production?”

“We’re all in CATS the musical. He’s our Mistoffelees.” Darin answered getting up and moving to stand beside Andrew. He crosses his arms looking at the doctor. “We need to be in tip top condition to dance in this production.”

“So I’ve heard.”

“So what do we do?” Matt asks. “He can barely breathe, he can’t cough anything up, the coughing fits are violent right now, his fever hasn’t broken.”

“He needs to rest – bed rest until it’s worked its way out. I’m prescribing a few things to help with the symptoms. The first being an antibiotic. That will take care of the infection. I sugguest taking an over the counter decongestion medication. This prescription is coughing suppressant for the day time. This will be for the night time – it has codine in it. For the first couple of days, I recommend taking it during the day as well so you can sleep properly. Make sure to sit up right as best you can when sleeping. Take Tylenol for the fever but keep an eye on it. If he gets to 102 call us. And finally an inhaler. It will help open his lungs so he can breathe.”

Darin takes everything the doctor writes out. “How long will he be out?” He wraps an arm around the smaller shoulders hugging him to his side.

Andrew just leans against him his energy disappating again, his eyes heavy as he wheezes. If he hadn’t been so bad off, hearing all of it would have left him panicking – especially the inhaler. As it stood he was too sick to care and just wanted to go home and sleep.

“We will know more once we get the antibiotic into his system. But, if I were to hazard a guess… a week or two.”

Matt’s eyes widened. He quickly looked to Darin who glanced down at Andrew. “A-And when can he start dancing again?”

“That will depend on how fast he recovers. Pneumonia isn’t something to play with. The victorian’s didn’t take this seriously and several people died because of it. We have modern medicine now but still need to be watched carefully. If his breathing gets any worse and a blue tint appears around his lips go to the ER.” The doctor explained. “However, he’s in great shape and is young so he should recover as long as he rests.”

“The way you’re talking – he should have someone with him as much as possible,” Darin started. “Is that what you’re saying?”

“In the condition he is currently, I would recommend someone staying nearby. If he wasn’t having such a hard time breathing it wouldn’t matter as much. If he lived by himself, I’d be wary of sending home alone. It sounds like you all live with a good group of people.”

“We do. We’ll take turns staying home. Give our swings time to practice.” Darin stated seriously. He was already thinking of what swing could take his spot.

“May I also sugguest you take a taxi home? You only carried him in a blanket. It’s cold out there and its not helping him at all.”

The other two smiled sheepishly, “R-Right. We’ll call one.”

Blake’s phone went off in his bag and he stopped dance in mid step getting the instructor frustrated. “I apologize. Andrew isn’t doing well. I have my ringer on. They took him to the doctor."

She sighed, “Go on and check then we need to rehearse the fight.”

He hurries over and digs his phone out.

D: it’s pneumonia. It’s a bad case. Doc is recommending someone stay with him until further notice. Let them know I’ll need a swing for Munkustrap.

Blake’s eyes widened. In the few years he’d known Darin, the dancer had never missed a Munkustrap performance.

“Is everything alright?” She asked walking over.

“He has a bad case of pneumonia and the doctor said someone needed to stay with him.” Their Plato explained nervously. “Darin just said he needed a swing replacement.”

The instructor’s eyes narrowed, “What? He’s never missed a performance.”

“I know. It worries me. That means Andrew really is bad off.” Blake sighed getting back on the dance floor in position. “Let’s practice.”

She sighed shaking her head, “You’ve got three hours before the performance. Go home and check on him then be back here in time for warm ups. I’m going to go find the swing dancer that has been shadowing Darin.”

“T-Thank you. I’ll be back.”

He got back to their penthouse not knowing what to expect. He heard the hoarse coughing and a commotion and headed towards the sitting area. Eiden and Matt were moving things around between their rooms. “Whats all this then?”

“I’m moving in with Eiden for the rest of the week.” Matt explained. “Darin is moving in with Andrew until this is taken care of.”

“We quickly figured out that Darin over rides anyone elses opinion on anything regarding the kitten.” Eiden stated shrugging. “There wasn’t even a discussion.”

“Oh dear.” Blake sighed, “This is becoming a mess. I never thought about having to be separate from each other.”

“Well this is the first time it was needed. We’ve been living like this for 2 years.” Matt shrugged. “I just… I don’t like being away from Andrew.”

“I’m sure you can sit with him once he’s all settled.”

“If Darin doesn’t bite you first.”

A ding went off from what was Matt and Andrew’s room. “Eiden, can you and Matt go pick up the prescriptions?” Darin called. “There is a list on the kitchen table and my card.”

“I-I can p-pay-“ Andrew wheezes before coughing again.

“We’ll settle up later.” Darin smiled. “Just rest.”

Eiden poked his head into the bedroom, “Yeah we can go pick it up. Anything else we need to grab? What is he going to eat and drink?”

“I can make soup for him.” Blake appeared as well. “But gateroade will help keep him hydrated and some peppermint tea to help clear his sinus.”

“We can do a vapor bowl later.” Matt said. “My mother has done it with me and my siblings each time we’re sick. You add herbs and essitential oils into a bowl of hot water. You put a towel over your head and the bowl and the water vapors will help clear you up and break up the mucus.”

“That’s a wonderful idea.”

“Once he can sit up properly we’ll definitely be trying that. Matt you know what to get so grab what we need. Pick up some light snacks as well.”

“Get some frozen fruit pops. His throat is going to be hurting with all this coughing. They will sooth it.” Blake added thinking.

“Got it.” Eiden was making a list on his phone. He glanced over at Andrew not liking how the other wasn’t joining in the discussion about his own food. The younger one wouldn’t complain a lot but would step up if it was something he didn’t want.

Andrew had fallen asleep sitting up against the stack of pillows. Darin was holding one of his hands as he spoke to the others. “I’m going to take as many days as I can off… I don’t want to leave his side. The rest of you continue with your characters.”

“Munkustrap is the most important character on stage.” Eiden starts but stops as Darin glares at him.

“Andrew is more important than a “main character”. Besides I haven’t ever taken off. We can start taking turns once the worst is over.”

Matt clenched his hand into a fist. “I-I’m his lover.. I want to help.”

“You will be helping. Andrew wouldn’t want all of us taking off. So let’s stagger it.”

“Darin is right…” Blake sighed. “Ok you two go off and run your errand. I’m going to go start making some soup and help with whatever else is needed.”

Eiden saluted, “You got it.” He tugged Matt’s arm. “Let’s go.”

Matt fought him at first wanting to stay with Andrew. “I-I can watch over him.”

“Darin has first shift.” Their Alonzo tugged harder pulling their Tugger away. He leads him into the kitchen area finding the list and the card. “I know it’s hard, mate. But I’ve learned to not step in between Darin with Andrew. Especially when Andrew isn’t coherent enough to put his own opinion in. You should know this after living with the three of them for two years.”

“I-I know. I just..”

“Besides, his swing is ready. Your swing… not so much.” Eiden joked putting his jacket on then his scarf. “I’ve seen him practice… he’s a big lug with no brains.”

This got a grin out of Matt as he put his outerwear on. “This is very true.. Kyle deserves a good Tugger for his second Mistoffelees debut.”

Andrew wakes up later and expects to be by himself. He hunches over coughing again feeling awful. He vaguely remembered something about medication. He probably needed to go pick it up. He pushed himself off the bed to his feet and staggered towards the hallway.

He could just call and taxi to take him there so he wouldn’t have to walk. His vision spun with each step he took and he was forcing his body to take a step forward.

He heard foot steps, “Andrew? What are you doing out bed?”

He looks up – it was Darin. “D-Darin…but the show…” He didn’t know why tears were pricking his eyes. Was it out of relief? “Y-You’re needed…” He sags forward into their Munkustrap’s arms tired of pretending to be ok.

“I’m needed here. You’re more important than 2 hour show. My swing is going on until further notice.” Darin explained softly. He kept his voice stable and tried his best to not sound upset or angry. “Come on, back to bed.”

“T-The medicine..”

“Eiden and Matt went and picked up before they left for the performance.” He helped Andrew back up on the bed not missing the heavy wheezing from the other. He stacked the pillows behind the other then pulled the blanket it up nestling it around the smaller frame.

Andrew leaned back exhausted just from that small escape to his feet. “A-Are we going to get fired…”

“What? No of course not. People get sick sometimes. We’re only human.” The other reassured smoothing back the sweaty brown hair. “You won’t lose Mistoffelees. I promise. It will give Kyle more experience if he decides to go on Tour.”

“You never miss…”

“I know. Like I said, you’re more important.” Darin sat beside him on the bed. He wrapped an arm around Andrew’s shoulders, smiling as the other fell into him. He reached up and felt for the fever. “Hm. It’s still high. Do you remember anything from this afternoon?”

“I think we went to the doctor?” The other answered hoarsely.

“Yes, he said you had a bad case of pneumonia and needed bed rest until further notice. He also said that since you’re case is so severe that you need supervision. With that said, I sent my understudy on until further notice.” He hugs Andrew gently. “I’m here, I’m not leaving your side.”

Andrew sighed relaxing against the other’s side weakly hugging him. He knew there was someone else he should be wanting more but hearing that Darin actually called off for him – he sniffled happily. Darin never did this.

The other smiles warmly, “Don’t get yourself even more stopped up. You do have some medicine to take and you need to use an inhaler if you can. You fell asleep earlier and we couldn’t wake you up enough to do anything about it.”

Watching the 1990 Paris CATS. I think I have a third favorite Misto.

Guy Paul is precious as Quaxo. A lot more kitten than I expected.

I’m also going to draw EVERYONE. The girls are so cute with their pigtails, Munk is growing on me.

I’ll be interested to see his Misto in a bit.

But overall I think this is one of my favorite of the international productions from the early 90s / late 80s.

ALSO HOLY THUNDER CATS’ 😅🤣 they look like the 1985 Thunder Cats!

Ok his Misto was so good! I thought it was interesting there wasn’t a white patch on his chest. His wig was also close to the Japanese wig on where the white was.

And then he and Tugger had their little thing 🤣 and he got frustrated with Tugger like “I have an idiot for a friend”

Omg and then he took out Victoria with the red blanket!! “I may have done it with you during the pile but take that 😏”

Skimble cracked me up during Bustopher - he was physically yeeting Quaxo every chance he got. 😆

Memory is beautiful in French. Old D looks like Santa. The great rumpus cat was terrifying but had beautiful mane of hair.

Also Misto with no white patch means he’s got stealth mode. My friend and were like “how the fuck did he get over there?!!!!” And “there he goes - he zapped himself there.”

However that Misto’s wig looks ridiculous but I say it with love.. you think he gets stuck in doors? 🤔 🤣

Shaun Cassidy added new dates to his tour and he'll be in NC Dec 9 in Pinehurst. I'm actually trying to get front row tickets. I usually can't because of sensory issues but I really hope it works out.

If not just being able to see him will be wonderful!

Got Back Into CATS

Like I landed HARD back into this fandom. I do feel energized again and I'm loving everyone in the fandom. The new productions play up the Tugger and Misto couple and I love them so much.

However, I feel like I'm 13 again mentally and just want to fangirl over JacobBrent like I used to but now I realize how weird that is. So I'm secretly fangirling. The fanpage is still up and I was able to redownload most of my files T_T.

I went and deleted as much Jake and John stuff that I could so maybe he wouldn't find them. Though I am aware it's more than likely too late on that end.

Jake is on so much social media that it's been a blast following him even if I am terrified to admit that we've both gotten older.

Also all of the new/old CATS bootlegs on youtube are amazing.

I still haven't found a full clip of Jake as Misto on Broadway or London. T_T. However, I have found LOTS of clips from New York in 1997 and I found so many small segments of him as Mistoffelees in the background.

As silly as it is, it makes me SO happy.

Life Update

Proxy Season 2025 finally ended and I now have the ability to try and relax again and try to get my life back in order.

Today and tomorrow I have off which means I get a 5 day "vacation". I came down to the parents beach house. Tomorrow it will just be the three of us before the rest of the family comes down.

I've gotten back into Black Butler and I've got a ton of fics to post. T_T can I just say that the new people in the fandom are so annoying and are just causing drama? If I see one more person complain how the anime/manga is so toxic I'm going to scream. Like thats the point?!

Don't get me started on how they hate that the anime/manga has so much fan service of Sebastian. THAT'S THE POINT.

meh.

anyway. I'll be posting fics to RGs Corner in a bit! :D
