Robert Paul

Robert Paul is the author of Asleep (Drifting), the first book in a three-part memoir series drawn from his life. Raised in an abusive and unstable home, Robert spent much of his early years searching for love, safety, and a sense of belonging. Those struggles eventually led him down a long road of addiction, pain, and self-destruction.

But his story is not just about darkness—it is about survival, redemption, and the quiet strength of the people who refused to give up on him. The love of his grandmother and Aunt Betty became the light that helped guide him through his most difficult moments. Through his writing, Robert shares both the brutality of his past and the hope he discovered along the way.

He believes every person carries a story as unique as a fingerprint, and that even the most broken paths can lead to healing and purpose. By telling his truth, Robert hopes to inspire others to keep going, forgive, grow, and believe that peace is possible.

Later in life, Robert embraced sobriety, raised two children, and built three successful businesses. Today, he is a singer-songwriter, marathoner, and full-time writer living in Missouri City, Texas.
