  • Other good things: talking with Soren, Jane; library jaunts; cherry tomatoes warmed in the afternoon sunlight. Tonight I got to cook dinner, which is always fun: I feel privileged to be allowed to cook for Soren and Jane, and they "put up with" my mad kitchen experiments -- everybody wins. (Tonight was meatloaf, oven-roasted fingerling potatoes and carrots with rosemary and paprika, and peas; there are brownies and ice cream for dessert, and I got Oklahoma! from the library, which they've not seen, so tonight, or later this week, we'll watch it together.) My moods go up and down, but some nights, things are really sweet.
