just a quick note

I have not fallen off the planet, but things have been complicated and weird around these parts lately. Lots of good things, too... I spent tonight with an old friend, catching up in various ways, and am now home, feeling cheerful and mellow. We have a houseguest, who plays ukelele and sings, and Soren and I are going to see a production of Cabaret in Redmond tomorrow night. Whee!
