think round corners, I say

There are perhaps thirty crows (at least twenty--I stepped out onto the porch and started counting) having some sort of convocation on the wires just south of the house: every so often, some of them get up and fly to another wire a little farther down the block. I wonder what they're planning.

February was a busy month, but without much time focused on writing. I hope to get more words out in March. I enjoyed various aspects of it, including Potlatch, and look forward to spring. There are two trees full of red multi-petalled blossoms, defying the sudden cold days, and more flowers popping up on every block. We're waiting to see whether the squirrels ate all the hyacinth bulbs in the yard, and whether the seedlings will survive.

Blue sky, crisp wind, bright sunlight... definitely season turning.
