The posters for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets went up in the subways yesterday. One was one of the clerks in the local wine shop, who, it turns out, shares my burgeoning obsession with Homies -- one day, I'll have to drop in with my duplicates, and see if any will help him flesh out his collection -- and the other was an old guy who seems to do odd jobs for people in the neighborhood: sweeping the sidewalks in front of stores, small errands, and the like.
I like living in a neighborhood where people know me and greet me. I like my city.
