Got into work early (clever maneuvering: rather than being expected to hike from Brooklyn to the Bronx for today's press conference, I volunteered to get into the office early and field potential calls about it.) Got out of the apartment before the Acme Renovation Team got upstairs, and started dropping 50-pound weights at random on the floor -- but the construction job outside the office has been going for the past three hours or so: whoosh-clank, whoosh-clank, whoosh-clank. Pain.
