Monday cheerfuls
I'm actually getting things done here in the office today -- projects completed, fiddly bits of formatting and prep for other meetings done, work assigned properly. Despite being tired, and worried about various and sundry things, and somewhat under the weather, mind you -- and each thing I can put in my "out" basket, or hand to someone else, seems to lighten the load, and make me more cheerful. Even the fact that I've just had an impossible job sloughed off onto me, which shouldn't be mine at all, isn't making me cranky -- I'm merrily writing memos about it, and my time constraints, and we'll either get it done, or we won't.
Tired, but competent. And accomplished. I have convinced database programs, word processing programs, three printers, the fax machine, and the photocopier to bow to my will today, as well as several people in management. And on Monday, no less!
Life is vastly entertaining, for those of us who are easily delighted
