Welcome to Rivington Paddlesport Club – where community, nature, and wellbeing come together. We're a volunteer-led, not-for-profit club dedicated to making paddlesports fun, affordable, and accessible for everyone. Set in the stunning surroundings of Rivington, we believe in the power of the outdoors to support mental health, build confidence, and bring people together. Our friendly team of passionate volunteers creates a safe, family-focused space where you can relax, connect, and enjoy the water—whether you're a complete beginner or just looking for a peaceful paddle. With low-cost sessions and a big emphasis on fun over formality, we’re here to help you feel good, get active, and be part of something special.

Where?

Rivington Paddlesport Club is based at the scenic Anderton Centre, nestled on the banks of the Lower Rivington Reservoir in Chorley, Lancashire. The club operates from New Road, Chorley, PR6 9HG, and offers members access to a beautiful stretch of water ideal for a variety of paddlesport activities. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the West Pennine Moors, the location provides a peaceful yet adventurous setting for both recreational and competitive paddling. The club is well-integrated with the Anderton Centre’s facilities, making it a welcoming hub for paddlers of all levels.

 
 

When?

Rivington Paddlesport Club operates regular paddle sessions twice a week, making the most of the tranquil waters of the Lower Rivington Reservoir. Sessions are held on Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM during Spring and Summer (BST), then during Autumn and Winter, Sunday Afternoons, 2pm till 4pm (GMT).

Membership offers access to regular club sessions, expert coaching, and the use of high-quality equipment, all within a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you're new to paddlesports or looking to refine your technique, the club caters to all skill levels. Annual membership is affordably priced at just £20 for adults and £10 for juniors. To join, simply log into your Paddle UK portal, add Rivington Paddlesport Club under “My Club,” and select your membership type.
