I'm starting to understand what a cat must feel like when locked in an empty room all day.

I haven't seen a certain reclusive writer for a while so I'm coming to the conclusion that he's vanished from the island one way or another. There are a number of books he left behind though, so if they were borrowed from someone I tidied up his chambers so you can get them at any time.

I think there are only three or four vampires left now. It's... difficult for me to come to terms with having so little to do.

We all come from different places, right? Some of us leave and come back later, often without memories of ever being here....

But what if we could find the connection? What if we could find a way to leave and come back whenever we want, with our memories? Come back to this place, the connector of worlds. We would never truly forget each other; we'd always be connected. Maybe then some of us wouldn't be so torn.

This is Captain Siri, I met a few of you when we left the island. I'm here to report that a maelstrom has opened in the mouth of the harbor. It's at least 30 feet across, and it's already taken down two fishing boats that moved too close. If any of you were interested in another try at leaving Rivelata, it looks like we missed our chance.

[muttered:] I hope this works. I feel ridiculous, writing a diary for eyes that may not even see it...

How... delightfully amusing. I think I rather love this place! At least... I love its marketplace. There's never a dull moment, and enough playmates to keep the hands busy. And you learn so many new things!
