Return to the breath
...my monkey mind.

It’s 5 p.m.
I log off work and get ready for yoga,
an online session for days I can’t swim.
Sitting crosslegged, eyes closed, I breathe,
my stomach rising and falling.
Suddenly, you’re there.
In…out… where are you?
In…out… what happened?
The instructor’s voice:
If your mind is wandering,
return to the breath.
Each time, you’re already there.
