A promise, and yet...

[There's a sigh. A promise he made how long ago? For Discedo, not too long, but... For him? Years. A short time for a country, and yet significant changes had occurred. Why had he made that promise? That was the major issue. Why had he been so naive?]

To crush the shell of something that is now meaningless... Would it truly be cruel? Or is this "honesty?"
