Hey, you, start here!
a welcome introduction to my little bubble
Welcome to Rion’s Writing Corner, my primary publication here on Substack. My name is Rion (pronounced Ryan) and I’m so glad you’re here :)
A little about me? Sure, here’s the cliff notes:
indie author
homeschool mama
writer, dreamer, lover of life
gardener
foodie
I’m almost always barefoot
I love romance, fantasy and sci-fi
favorite movie: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, favorite band: Simple Plan, favorite book: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
playlists & long drives
millennial gal refusing to part with nostalgia
more a night owl than a morning person, but I’m learning to love the quiet before the world wakes up
working to cultivate a life lived more offline than on
I dabble with all sorts of art forms; writing, painting, photography, design, fiber arts
Capricorn sun, Cancer moon, Libra rising. If you follow any of that, I mean
I could go on, but if you wanna know more you can always ask, or browse my linktr.ee for fun spaces to explore :)
What you can expect from me in this space:
poetry
short stories
musings about writing and things related to it
insights into my books and little extras as they come along
My theme at its core is finding peace in the chaos to create your happiness and that tends to bleed into all aspects of my writing, fiction and non.
As mentioned above, this is my primary publication, but if you’re looking to read more non-fiction from me, you can head over to Create Your Happiness, my second publication, where I share life essays, reflections, motherhood talk and whatever else my brain wants to ramble on about.
Between the two you can expect 2-3 posts per week when the creative juices are flowing :)
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you stick around for more!
Until next time ✌🏻
My first introduction post can be found below. I re-read it and gave myself a good laugh at how I mention I am not going to be giving bullet points, because that’s exactly what I just did haha

the desire to be barefoot in me sees the desire to be barefoot in you. so glad we connected I can’t say it enough!
