Flight Risk

This visualization done by IIB Studio for BBC allows the user to explore fatal commercial passenger plane incidents since 1993. With this interactive visualization the user can quickly see which are the major cause for plane crashes, how many victims these made, and which years had more victims. The user can filter the information by phase (grounded, takeoff, initial climb, en route, approach, or landing) or by cause (human error, weather, mechanical, criminal, or unknown).
