Iran
No to Sanctions, No to Restorations
“While envisaging the destruction of imperialism, it is necessary to identify its head, which is none other than the United States of America”
- Che Guevara
The protests unfolding across Iran reflect real and justified public anger rooted in an economy that has been pushed to the brink and a political system defined by repression and exclusion. But the economic crisis cannot be understood without naming the role of Western, imperialist sanctions, which have functioned as long-term economic warfare and collective punishment, deepening hardship for ordinary Iranian people.
Solidarity with the people must not be transformed into propaganda for intervention or externally managed “transition.” Replacing one authoritarian structure with another (including projects of monarchist restoration backed by Western media and political interests) is not self-determination. It is managed sovereignty.
We stand with the Iranian people against repression, against sanctions, and against every narrative that treats Iran as a geopolitical project rather than a society entitled to determine its own future. A democratic horizon is possible, and Iran’s history holds real proof of that.
We amplify the voices of @smohyeddin, @irans.feminist.liberation, @iranians4collectiveliberation, and others who are fighting for an Iran free from all types of oppression.
