Nothing quite like a passionate conversation about competition policy with the amazing @ZephyrTeachout to start the morning with. Thank you for the awesome event #RWOnward @bathreya1 @reshaping_work
That was a really fun conversation about AI, the future of work and the trade-offs of regulation. Thanks for having me @karanovic_j !!
Great to be in Amsterdam for the #ReshapingWork22 conference @reshaping_work : Rich program, insightful (and fun!) conversations about the #futureofwork with experts – and such a bliss to go to a conference per bike 🚲 🇳🇱 https://pic.twitter.com/afibexL0AU
The 6th edition of @reshaping_work and it couldn’t be better. The one and only interdisciplinary multistakeholder conference on platforms and ai@work. Thanks so much for the great organization @karanovic_j
Real fun, and a réal debate at that 🙂
Great to be back at the Reshaping Work Conference in Amsterdam, one of my favourite conferences in the world! One of the best conferences thus far with various interesting and educational panels.
I loved the opportunity to learn from the Reshaping Work Conference attendees about the policies they are advancing to protect workers from abuses of algorithmic management. That panelists, speakers and attendees had such varied
backgrounds was very valuable – I wish there were more spaces that brought together a broad range of perspectives.
Reshaping Work is unique in its goals of bringing scholars, practitioners and policymakers together in one place to discuss the future of work. As a scholar I benefit from hearing what practitioners and policymakers care about. It is a
way for me to make sure that my own research is relevant. And I hope that they benefit from hearing my take as well!
Once again, RW Conference proved to be a much needed intellectual hub to advance thinking on how to organise for a more humane, fair, sustainable and promising future of work. I was delighted to take part in it.
For me, it was a day full of thought-provoking talks and questions about the future of work paired with inspiring presentations and best practices on how to address challenges related to AI and algorithmic management.
Reshaping Work 2022 was a fantastic event that brought together stakeholders from different domains to discuss the future of work from many a variety of perspectives.
Great to be in Amsterdam for the Reshaping Work 2022 Conference: rich program, insightful (and fun!) conversations about the future of work with experts – and such a bliss to go to a conference by bike!
By bringing together a wide range of actors, the Reshaping Work Conference provided a great opportunity to learn and exchanges views. And while gathering a wide variety of entities, not necessarily like-minded, it strives to foster
fruitful exchanges and solutions. The value being also that beyond the conference itself, there is a long-term project working to untangle the issues which will shape the future of work in Europe.
The Reshaping Work Conference did a great job in connecting participants from different areas who contributed diverse views. It was enriching to look at the topic from various angles and meet new people!
The Future of Work Conference will certainly remain in my positive memory for a long time. As project partners, we were able to use the event not only to expand our expertise and learn about new perspectives on diverse forms of work,
but also to expand our personal network. Meeting other project partners face-to-face in Brussels was very stimulating and motivating. It was nice to see that people with such different interests and business models can pull together.
I really enjoyed this insightful event. With an impressive selection of speakers and a very interesting programme, the virtual conference kept my interest throughout the whole time. What I particularly liked is that I heard different
perspectives, which provided me with a lot of food for thought. Many thanks to the team of Reshaping Work for the perfect organization! I am looking forward to attending future events!
I really enjoyed the Future of Work Conference, the quality of the discussions, and having the opportunity to meet all relevant stakeholders of the platform work debate. I appreciate how Reshaping Work brings all parties together at
the table to have an informed and constructive policy exchange.
Reshaping Work offers the unique opportunity to engage with a group of diverse stakeholders that share a common goal: shape the future of work in a way that benefits everyone. The inspiring conversations of this year’s program are
invaluable when it comes to finding sustainable solutions and working on policy recommendations which take into account the variety of different stakeholder views.
Reshaping Work brings together policymakers, academics, firms, unions, and – most importantly – the practitioners in the gig-economy to discuss the future of work in a stimulating setting. It is the most comprehensive and insightful
conference on these topics I have participated in to-date.
Acture joined Reshaping Work’s Multistakeholder Dialogue Project for the first time this year. As a participant, I am positively surprised by the level of insight and in-depth knowledge of my fellow participants, the keynote speakers,
and the managing director, Jovana Karanovic. September 10 gave me an opportunity to attend the Future of Work Conference. The presentation of Christina Behrendt of ILO and the study of Juliet Schor of Boston College on “gig work unraveled”, were
of especially great value to me. I’m very much looking forward to the end results of the roundtables later this year.
This conference is one of the most fun, interesting and engaging that I have ever been to!
The biggest added value of Reshaping Work’s projects and events is the ability to have genuine and open interactions with people from all sides of the debate. It is a place to hear new ideas, and it is great to see people making an
effort to reach across the aisle and truly understand each other. This makes these conversations reach a very high level.
The Reshaping Work conference made it possible for us at Smart (cooperative for freelancers) to meet various stakeholders who are involved in these new evolutions on the labour market. Academics, journalists, entrepreneurs and
freelancers who see enormous opportunities and who are confronted at the same time with new threats, confirmed during the conference our earlier conclusions and/or gave us new insights on how we can cope with the risks involved with new forms of
labour; risks as well for the individual freelancer as for the welfare state as we know it today.
Thanks to these meetings we only got more motivated to do our very best to establish a sustainable, efficient and competitive model of our freelancers coop in the Netherlands.
Inspiring, refreshing, insightful.
When came across the event I could connect to it immediately. I knew, as a gig worker and an artist, that I wanted to be a part of the discussion, but nothing could have prepared me for how damn good the experience was.
The platform economy is forcing society to confront important policy and legal questions as the very nature of work, business, and markets change. The conference “Reshaping Work in the Platform Economy” provided an innovative
environment and format in which to consider these issues by bringing together business, government, academics, and workers in serious conversation and analysis. I think all of the participants left the conference energized about their own work
and eager to continue collaborating with others — and are looking forward to next year.
I experienced the ‘Reshaping Work in the Platform Economy’ conference as the first conference in this emerging topic that contributed at a constructive way to the questions we have in the transition to a platform society. Unlike other
conferences where you only hear the voice of one of the stakeholders, the organization managed to bring together an interesting mix of different stakeholders. In my opinion this is the only way to move things forward. I am looking forward to
attend the next edition in 2018.
The conference was very stimulating and I think it was a great occasion for everyone to contribute, argue and take away something.
We cannot understand the gig economy until we grapple with its competing narratives: Reshaping Work provided a unique opportunity to hear from and discuss with representatives of gig economy workers, academics, and platform operators.
A great event!
The Reshaping Work conference provided the perfect setting for insightful discussions between all stakeholders involved in platform work. Events like this, where all points of view are represented, are fundamental for enabling a
healthy debate about the platform economy.
