New This Year . . .

Our scavenger hunt returns with a new twist—the clues are invisible! Bring along your ultraviolet flashlight to discover the hidden message that reveals the location of a special treat!

Live Shows

Take in a show featuring a leaf-tailed gecko, scorpion, kinkajou, rattlesnake, and more!

You’ll be amazed by the efficiency of most nocturnal animals. Snakes, for example, are among the most efficient nocturnal predators even though they have poor eyesight. Their excellent sense of smell aids in detecting and tracking prey. Snakes smell with their tongue and some even have heat-sensing organs on either side of their heads to detect the distance and location of prey!

Learn all this and more with our nocturnal shows at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00.

Fall Fun

Experience the zoo like never before! Enjoy boo-tiful surroundings with creatively carved jack-o-lanterns, torchlit paths, and more.

And don’t miss our awesome marshmallow toasting station! Enjoy the crisp autumn air and the glow of smoldering hot coals while you toast up a tasty treat! We’ve created an innovative contraption for allowing the children to toast their own marshmallows in a fun, safe way. So take a break from your safari and enjoy a DIY snack!

Reptiland staff will be at this station to control the flow of traffic in this area, hand out supplies, etc., but children must be supervised at all times.

Dinos Lighted By Torches

No flashlights are needed here—experience Dinosaurs Come to Life lit with torches and spotlights! Trek through this prehistoric path to see the impressive Tyrannosaurus rex as well as Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and more!

Get Dinner Here, Too

Grab a bite from local food truck Happy Family BBQ while you’re here.

Please Note: Food vendors featured at Safari Flashlight may vary from year to year. Check back closer to the event for the latest details and updates on offerings!

Additional Event Information

Tickets will be sold in accordance with show times: 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 pm. We do this to control the number of people inside the Program Center at one time. Although there are specified show times, the event runs from 5:30 – 9:00 pm, so feel free to arrive and depart according to your preference, while still catching a live show!

We strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance, especially if you would like an earlier show time. If tickets are still available, they will be sold at the door.
