Who is Edukans?

As a charitable organization, Edukans is committed to high-quality and safe education for children and young people in developing countries. We work together with schools, governments and companies.

What and for whom is this website?

Edukans strives for a high level of integrity in its work. To achieve this, we have drawn up a code of conduct that all employees and partners must adhere to. Anyone who has witnessed or been a victim of undesirable behavior or a (possible) violation of integrity by Edukans employees or by our partners can report this (if desired via one of our employees) to the Edukans integrity committee (integrity@edukans.nl). Reports are always treated confidentially. If you want to make a report anonymously, you can use this website. 

With regard to integrity violations, you can think of: 

• Abuse of power: corruption, conflict of interest and partiality, disclosure of confidential information, culpable negligence; 

• Financial violations: fraud, theft, misappropriation of property or services, intentional waste; 

• Interpersonal violations: discrimination, humiliation, violence, bullying, (sexual) intimidation, (sexual) violence. 

How does it work?

If you report something here, you will first receive a confirmation of receipt. Within two weeks you will hear from the Edukans integrity committee about how we will handle your report. Your privacy is guaranteed. You can contact us at any time via this website and your own personal ID which is automatically generated when you make a report. 

Edukans has a zero-tolerance policy on non-follow-up of abuses. This means that we always take measures if a violation is detected.
