Description:

  • Qodea is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to enhance their data and machine learning capabilities.
  • The role focuses on data quality, enrichment, and intelligent linking of products and information.
  • Responsibilities include leading the architecture of scalable data pipelines and ML systems, providing technical leadership to a cross-functional team, and driving initiatives to integrate modern Machine Learning and AI technologies.
  • The engineer will define strategies to improve the performance and reliability of data and ML services and design frameworks for evaluating data quality and ML model effectiveness.
  • The position requires championing engineering best practices and mentoring engineers across teams.
  • The role is designed for impact, with expectations for on-site collaboration sessions, customer meetings, and internal workshops.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing and leading large-scale distributed data and/or ML backend systems is required.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL pipeline design and optimization for complex data sets is a strong advantage.
  • Deep familiarity with technologies such as Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, and Redis is necessary.
  • Expertise in backend development with Python and Scala is required; knowledge of Node.js or Golang is a plus.
  • Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases, along with experience in data warehousing solutions, is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in building robust APIs (REST, GraphQL) and operating in modern cloud environments (GCP preferred) is required.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence engineering direction across teams in a data-centric and ML-driven environment is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for aligning diverse technical stakeholders around a cohesive vision for data quality and knowledge extraction.
