Frank, I own a record store with three branches. Every night each of the 3 stores backs up their Regit files to Google drive using their own folder. I then take those files to integrate with my in-house system
Have been using for 5 years in my 3 stores. Register data feeds my company database. Uses DB3 file structure which is easy to integrate. Find data entry very easy and can train a clerk within minutes to ring up a sale.
While this is a first class POS software it has a few limitations. Though you can use it outside the US and Canada, you will be unable to implement the use of card payments, which of course is important for all international users. I have a take and bake shop and while the software is excellent I found one drawback for those wanting to display the onscreen price including tax. Many POS now allow for this with the option to use included tax or added tax when showing a price onscreen. This POS has failed to see the need to display prices including tax for many grocery food outlets who want to give customer satisfaction of allowing them to check the onscreen prices as the teller rings up the bill. Overall this is an excellent POS software, but I feel there is a greater need to understand how many Food Malls now work. I give 7 out of 10 for the actual quality of this software, but would give 10 out of 10 if this simple implementation was addressed. I would use this software but don’t because my customers want to see the actual price they are paying for each item, I unfortunately decided not to use it. For those services who want to accept card payments and advertise prices excluding tax, this has to be one of the best for its main functions and simplicity of use. Importing data is simple if you can export your existing stock table as a csv document and the onscreen fonts are easy for customers to view. Thumbs up to this software, but still needs to cater for those food services needing tax included in the pricing.
