Heads up that there will be a Go1.20.5 security release on Tuesday (so if this patch release is not "urgent", might be worth considering waiting for that). |

Not super urgent no. I know it was going to help buildkit was the main driver. cc @gabriel-samfira I'll draft until Tuesday when we can update |

Tuesday is perfectly fine. I wasn't even hoping for a time frame this close, so Tuesday is still amazing. Will prepare the branches for buildkit until then. Thanks folks! |

We don't need to wait to do the release on Tuesday, we can do the release now and do a release on Tuesday if there is an important update. It is more of a pain to keep the release notes PRs open than just do the release. |
