According to https://bats-core.readthedocs.io/en/stable/writing-tests.html#setup-and-teardown-pre-and-post-test-hooks the old FAQ answer is out of date. I hope this one better represents the current state.

Automatic section labeling will enable cross referencing between files without requiring explicit labeling of each section.
