Neil Adshead graduated with an Honours degree in Earth Sciences from Birmingham University in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Economic Geology from James Cook University of North Queensland. His ‘gap year’, between the two degrees, was spent working as a geologist on several North Sea oil rigs. Neil’s post-graduate mineral sector career commenced in 1995 at Placer Dome, where he filled exploration, mining and managerial roles in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Canada. After a near decade-long apprenticeship at the major mining company, he jumped over to the buy-side more than twenty years ago, initially working as a Senior Mining Analyst at San Francisco-based Passport Capital LLC, then as an Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager for various subsidiaries of Sprott Inc. Neil currently fills his working hours with varied part-time roles: assisting a gold-copper mining company with growth initiatives, providing technical reviews for sector equity funds with different investment mandates, and he is Chairman of a private mineral exploration company generating and advancing projects in Idaho.

As Chief Investment Officer, Managing Partner and co-founder of Capital Wealth Advisors’ asset management business, Lewis leads the firm’s research and management efforts.

Lewis began his career in investment research more than 25 years ago. Prior to co-founding CWA’s asset management business in 2013, Lewis co-founded Fundamental Global Investors in 2012, where he first partnered with Joe Moglia, running the firm’s first private investment partnership. Previously, Lewis was a private investor from 2010-2012 after retiring at age 39 after trading the global financial crisis.

Lewis was recruited by Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy (now known as Castleton Commodities International), a commodity trading company that traces its roots to the founding of Louis Dreyfus in 1851, as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager in an effort to launch a multi-strategy hedge fund from 2008-2010.

Previously, Lewis was recruited to join hedge fund Pequot Capital from 2006-2007 as a Senior Vice President, where the team made a name for itself successfully navigating the global financial crisis.

Prior to joining Pequot Capital, Lewis was a Equity Analyst from 2000-2006 at T. Rowe Price, a company founded in 1937, and manager of nearly $2 Trillion.

While earning his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Lewis honed the craft of investing first at the multi-trillion dollar Capital Research Company, a member of the Capital Group Companies founded in 1932 and manager of the American Funds.

Lewis resides full-time in Naples, Florida, with his high school sweetheart, Carol, and their three children. As an avid fisherman, Lewis can often be found chasing tarpon in Florida’s untamed waters and backcountry.

Mike McGlone is a senior commodity strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a unique research platform that provides context on industries, companies, and government policy, available on the Bloomberg Professional service at BI <GO>. Mr. McGlone specializes in the broad investible commodity and crypto markets, authoring the monthly Bloomberg Commodity Outlook and Bloomberg Crypto Outlook. 

Mr. McGlone joined Bloomberg in 2016 with over 25 years of futures and commodity trading and investing experience, beginning at the Chicago Board of Trade. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he was a head of U.S. research at ETF Securities. Prior to ETF Securities, Mr. McGlone headed the commodity business at S&P Indices. His previous roles included head of futures research at ABN Amro and VP research, analyst, trader, sales at Aubrey G. Lanston / IBJ Futures.

Mr. McGlone has an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago and bachelor’s of science and arts degrees from Illinois State University. He is a CFA Charter holder and has earned a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
