It’s the most wonderful time of the year for those of us who love all things data! We all know that I live by my lists as a very Type A personality. I made the first version of my Book Blogger and Reader Spreadsheet Template in July of 2018. Since then, I have updated and improved the template each year and made it available to anyone who wants it for free. (If you want to leave me a tip to support my work, please check out my ko-fi!)
As always, the 2025 Spreadsheet Template was made available for Reader Voracious patrons early! Patreon supporters are also able to make template suggestions and have exclusive access to a more detailed template version. This template will always be free, but if you’d like early access, the ability to make requests, and more perks you can help support the work I do for as little as $2 a month!
About the Spreadsheet Template
This template began as a book blogging-centric tool but over the last six years I have made it available it’s evolved. This spreadsheet can be used by anyone who reads – you don’t need to be a blogger! (If you aren’t a blogger, simply delete or hide the sheets that do not suit your needs.)

My book blogging and reading experience drastically changed for the better since I put together a spreadsheet to keep track of all of my ARCs! Now that 2024 has come to a close, I’m excited to share the 2025 Spreadsheet Template with you all!

Reader Spreadsheet Template Design
The overall template color scheme reflects my blog’s branding (blues and purples that match my logo), but you are welcome to customize the colors how you like once you download your copy of the template for personal use.
⚠️ All of these tables and charts automatically update based on the information you input on the 2025 Reads, ARCs, and Owned Books sheets – and it is important that you do not change the tab names or delete any columns!
Bookish Brews has a free Diversity Reading tracker available if you’d like to track the diverse books that you read each year.

Template Features
The spreadsheet features remain unchanged from 2024’s version, but I wanted to include the breakdown in case this is your first time using my template (welcome!).
Blog Stats Tracking
After the Reading Charts, the next tab on the spreadsheet template is for blog statistics data in case you want to keep track. In addition to follower growth tracking, I also added tables for tracking monthly views over time, views and engagement by post type, and posts by category.
⚠️ The charts are all automatic based on the tables, but you will have to manually add the data from your WordPress or Blogger dashboard. This is how you can export your post data from WordPress:
Click on Pages & Posts from your Stats page –> switch view to All-Time –> Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Download data as CSV”
RAW Data
The RAW Data tab on the spreadsheet is where all of the formulas that power your reading charts are located. This sheet works on its own based on the data you input elsewhere on the spreadsheet.
Do not update anything on this sheet or your risk breaking formulas and your charts will not work.
ARC Tracking
Ah, the reason that I created the first spreadsheet all that time ago in 2018! The spreadsheet sure has grown over the years but keep tracking of all my ARCs in one place is still the primary function for me.

Note: The “retail” checkbox is something I started using so I don’t forget to cross post my reviews onto retail sites like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. You can hide this column if you don’t want to use it.
Owned Books
If you want to keep track of all the books you own, the Owned Books sheet is for you! But not only that, but there is also a chart that shows your ratio of owned books that you’ve read. The Owned vs. Read pie chart adequately shames me whenever I update this list!

You can easily copy and paste books between the Owned and Reads sheets for easier updating!
If you would prefer a version of the spreadsheet that automatically updates 2024 Reads, Current Reads, ARC List, TBR List, and DNF List based on a Master Library sheet – you NEED to check out my brand new Automated Elite Spreadsheet!
2025 Reads
This is by far my favorite tab, I think! This sheet provides the data that feeds into the main Bookish Stats tab. This makes my monthly wrap-up posts so much easier to compile!

⚠️ It is important to not delete columns or rename anything on this sheet, otherwise you will break the automatic formulas on the Bookish Stats sheet & Raw Data.
2025 Hauls
In case you want to keep track of your spending on books, I’ve created a tab called 2025 Hauls! I actually went back through my email receipts and created one alll the way back in 2018 and it was kind of shocking, so I find it pretty useful to keep track and curb my spending.

Buddy Reads
Do you like to buddy read? Me too! So much that I found myself scheduling a lot and losing track. It’s coded so you can filter out finished buddy reads if you wish.

Upcoming Releases to Stalk
If you have a huge TBR and your anticipated shelf on Goodreads is a hot mess like mine, you can use the Releases to Stalk tab! I am using this to keep track of what I want to watch out for, request, pre-order, and highlight in Anticipated Reads.

Daily Stats
I doubt anyone but Sam wants this, but if you want to keep track of your daily stats here you go. I made this for myself because I am looking for statistical patterns and Sam liked it so she told me to include it. You can delete the sheet if this isn’t of interest to you.
On WordPress, this is how you can export your post data:
Click on Pages & Posts from your Stats page –> switch view to All-Time –> Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Download data as CSV”
Scheduling Calendar
Last but certainly not least is the scheduling calendar that I use when planning my posts. This is unchanged from the 2024 template.
Elite Spreadsheet Options
I began offering an enhanced version of my spreadsheet template in 2023, and two versions are back again for 2025! These elite spreadsheet versions were created thanks to the requests from Reader Voracious patrons.
Elite Spreadsheet: Enhanced Genres, Subgenres, Author Identity Tracking
Purchase the 2025 ELITE Template
Click here to learn more about the Elite Spreadsheet Template
What’s different in the Elite Version? There are a few more columns on the 2025 Reads & Owned Books sheets that drill information down a bit more specifically:
– Genres got an overhaul because…
– Subgenres are also recorded
– Story Form (Novella, Anthology, etc) are their own section

If you’re interested in reading more diversely and would like to keep track, the last two new additions will be for you:
- Author Identity (BIPOC, LGBT+, Both, none)
- Author Gender (Female, Male, Nonbinary, Multi Authors, Unknown)

The Hauls Sheet on the ELITE Template is enhanced to include more data and an extra chart if you’re like me and need to see your money flying out of your bank account.

Automated Version of the Elite Spreadsheet
This spreadsheet template is affectionately referred to as “Version 2” and is an automated version of the Elite Spreadsheet!
Purchase the 2025 Automated ELITE Template
Click here to learn about the features of the Automated Elite Spreadsheet Template
Introduced in 2024 and back for 2025: the BEEFIER Elite version of the spreadsheet template that is largely automated!
There is now a MASTER Library sheet that is the only place you need to update your reading, ARCs, TBR, etc! The 2025 Reads, ARC List, TBR List, and DNF List all update automatically based on what you input on the MASTER Library spreadsheet, and they automatically update when you make changes.
- Currently Reading selected for Status on the MASTER Library will populate on the Current Reads sheet.
- DNF means that you did not finish the book and don’t plan to
- Read (with start and finish dates in 2025) will populate on the 2025 Reads sheet, which is the basis for the majority of the charts
- TBR will populate on the TBR List sheet and should be an easier way to see all the books you have (ARCs and Owned) that you haven’t read yet
This means that when you start reading a book that was on your TBR, it will move from TBR List to the Current Reads sheet to 2025 Reads once you’ve finished reading it and mark it as read on the MASTER Library sheet.

Download the FREE Template
To save a copy of the spreadsheet in your own Drive, all you need to do is click File -> Make a Copy and use for your own blog to keep organized and have some easy, pre-prepared and auto-updating pie charts that you can use in wrap-up posts! If you prefer to download it as an Excel file, you can do so by selecting “Download as.”
This FREE book blogger scheduling and stats spreadsheet is available for anyone in the community to use, and I hope you find it useful! Even if you do not schedule your posts, you are welcome to save a copy of the spreadsheet and hide or delete the tabs you will not use; there’s nothing wrong with just using the review obligations and/or stats!
If you use my sheet as a starting off point to tinker and customize to suit your own needs, that is wonderful! But do not share your own versions of my spreadsheet as downloadables.

Hi! Just leaving a comment here as I didn’t see anyone else mention it! I am very thankful for your spreadsheet and it’s really well made! I noticed, however, that the 2025 spreadsheet has an error where the Raw Data table for number of books read, the Countif is still in 2024 so the number of books read per month is not being recorded!
I’m unable to edit it myself due to the lock on the page!
Thank you so much for your hard work!
Hi Celine, thank you SO MUCH for letting me know! There’s always something that gets missed each year and I thought I FINALLY made it without any errors, but alas.
I am correcting the countif table to 2025 now on the template!
Kal! I’m so happy to see this 2025 Elite Spreadsheet cos your 2024 version worked amazingly for me last year! I wasn’t sure if you’d do one this year so I attempted keeping track using a Notion sheet but I had to come back to this because it’s now my tracking comfort zone! 😂
Quick question though, if I add genres/subgenres, should they auto-appear in the charts or do I have to make them appear somehow? Sorry, I’m a noob when it comes to sheets and formulas etc. etc. I don’t want to mess anything up accidentally (very likely to happen with me, lol)! 🫣
Hope you’ve been doing okay — it’s nice to see your blog up again 🙂
Hi Dini, happy 2025! I apologize about the delay in getting this year’s template up for you but I am so glad that you found it!! Thrilled last year’s spreadsheet worked so well.
It is a little more than just adding additional genres/subgenres in the dropdowns to get them to appear in the charts, but it is a fairly easy adjustment. Since you purchased the elite spreadsheet, I’d be happy to make the adjustments for you for free! Do you still use discord? If so, send me a message with an editable spreadsheet link and the list of genres and subgenres you want to add. I probably won’t get around to it until this weekend due to grad school if that’s okay, but happy to do it!
I WISH I could be this organized! This spreadsheet is absolutely amazing.
Oh gosh, thank you for the high praise, Lindsi! I hope the spreadsheet serves you well and happy reading in 2025!
Omg I thought you wouldn’t do one this year but I’m soooo glad you did cause I was scrambling!!
Thank you so much <3
And a very happy new year to you!!!
I CAN’T QUITE QUIT SPREADSHEETS AND BLOGGING! I apologize that the template came out later than usual for 2025 but I am so glad you saw it so you can stop scrambling. Happy reading and happy new year to you as well! xoxo
I’m always intimidated and impressed by your Annual Reading Spreadsheets! I might attempt it when I’m ready to attempt to tackle 100 books in a year again.
Thank you, L.A. and my goodness, 100 books in a year is quite the feat!
Hi! This looks amazing, I’m enjoying playing with it. One question; can I rearrange the tabs if I don’t rename them? So that Arc List and 2025 Reads are nearer the front? On my screen I have to keep scrolling back and forth to find them, which isn’t a huge problem of course!
Thanks so much for all the work and for sharing so freely!
Hi Barker, thank you so much – I am glad you’ll find the spreadsheet useful!! YES you can rearrange the tabs (and hide the ones that you don’t want to use by right clicking them), just leave the names as-is so you don’t mess up any of the formulas. 🙂
Brilliant! And sorry one more question…do I move titles from Arcs to Reads as I read them, or fill them into Reads and also leave them in Arcs? Sorry!
No need to apologize! Honestly, it is up to you how you handle the ARCs sheet. I kept the ARCs separate so I could easily see what obligations I have, and then when I started reading one I would add it to the Reads sheet. I personally kept them on the ARCs tab but hid the finished rows.
Not to push you to spend money, but over the years I got better at spreadsheets and the automated version has you put everything you own on the master library tab and then filters ARCs/current reads/finished reads automatically so there is less manual updating, though there is more time required for the initial set-up (and a small $7 up front cost). 🙂
Hey, thank you a lot for making and sharing this list.
You’re welcome! I hope you found it useful
I did terrible in terms in reading and organization last year, but I am determined this year to do better, starting with this resource. So gratefully you’ve put this together for all of us. Thank you for your hard work. Hope 2024 rewards you abundantly.
I hope 2024 was full of organization for you, Alicia! If the resource worked well for you, the post has been updated with the 2025 version ❤️
Hello! I am unable to download it. Can you please help me?
Hi Ariana! To download, you essentially create a copy of the template that can be used on your personal Google Drive.
You need to click File –> Make a Copy from the main menu. There’s a screenshot in the post that provides a visual as well. Hope this helps!
But the link is not working for me! The template doesn’t appear no matter how many times I click. I used your template last year and it really helped me. So I wanted to use your template this year too.
I’m so sorry that you’re having trouble! Which link isn’t working? It’s linked a few different places in the post and am able to get the template to load. Try this link here: https://bit.ly/2024ReaderTemplate or https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PwkFE8C1nAOG0niMcUtixYffVnS2VWASHwBwNT1N65o/edit#gid=571135852
I’m glad that the spreadsheet worked well for you last year and that you’re back for 2024!
Thank you so much! The first link wasn’t working for me but thankfully, the second link worked.
Glad we got it figured out, and I will see if I can troubleshoot the link issue. Which browser are you using?
Happy reading & tracking in 2024!
Happy New Year!
I feel like my own reading challenge is just a TBR backlist haha But an excuse to convince people to do the same!
Have fun knocking those titles off your list 🙂
K
Happy New Year, Krys! My TBR Backlist will be the death of me and I am thrilled to finally give these books the love they deserve. Good luck!
your 2023 spreadsheet was super helpful. Definitely using this template this year as well.
AHHH I am so happy to hear that, Yesha! I hope 2024 is a fantastic year for you and happy reading!
Thank you for doing the Spreadsheet again! I use it every year to track my reading and I love the statistics and graphs ❤️ I’m not too skilled with Google Sheets, so I’m always impressed!!
So honored that you use my spreadsheet template every year, and thrilled that it works for you! Happy reading this year, Caro.
WOW this spreadsheet is IMPRESSIVE!! I already have my own spreadsheet I’ve been tweaking for years; otherwise I would have definitely gone for your option. Sharing so more people see this!
Thank you so much for the compliment, Yvonne! I’m so glad that you have a spreadsheet system that works for you, and happy reading!
Yay! Can you believe its time for 2024???? Crazy sauce lol
I just love using a spreadsheet to track my reading. You can do just about anything to track what you need. I am sure many readers will find this spreadsheet helpful.
I am honestly STILL struggling with the fact that it’s already 2024. Like how?!??!? The older I get, the faster time whips by and I don’t know why that is. Spreadsheet tracking is where it’s at, so much fun! I enjoy logging everything there and then crossposting to other places after the fact. Happy reading this year!
Wow, this is incredible! It’s so thoughtful of you to create something so useful for other book bloggers. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2024!
Incredible?! Wow thank you so much for the compliment, I love that I’m able to share this with the bookish community every year. Happy new year and reading in 2024!
Ahh thank you so much, Kal! I was looking forward to the 2024 spreadsheet, and you didn’t disappoint <3
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you!
Ahhh, you’re too kind Charvi, so happy to bring the spreadsheet joy to you for the holidays! Happy new year and reading, sweet friend.
Thanks so much, Kal. Your spreadsheet is the only one I use these days and it is perfect for us book bloggers.
Thank you, I’m so thrilled to hear that the spreadsheet works for you. Happy reading and tracking in 2024, Ritu!
