    I was very much looking forward to reading the first of The Marian Legacy books, and I was not disappointed.

    Foster Blake (Sheriff in Majestic, Wyoming from the Billionaire Brotherhood books), is going on a well-deserved trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately, he is seated next to a drunk woman who won't stop talking about an ex. When she spills her drink on Foster, the man in the row behind him, offers his assistance...Tommy Marian.

    This is their first encounter. Things start well and then go off the rails when Foster misunderstands the situation. They meet again six months later when both take jobs for the summer at the SERA camp. This camp teaches first-responders about Search and Rescue. Foster is hired as the SAR Director as he is Search and Rescue certified and Tommy is the Medical Director in charge of the medical services team.

    Daring rescues and misunderstandings ensue as the two fight their feelings for each other.

    If you enjoyed the Made Marian books you won't be disappointed as the Marian clan makes appearances throughout the book (Aunt Tilly is her usual outrageous self).

    There are laugh out loud moments in the book, and also moments where you just want to bang Tommy and Foster's heads together to get them to wake up and see what is right in front of them.

    It was a great read and am looking forward to more books in the series.

    I'm going to comment on the "Marian series" as well as this book.

    Rescuing Dr. Marian is a strong and inviting opening to Lucy Lennox’s new Made Marian series. Dr. Tommy Marian’s chance—and charged—encounter with Sheriff Foster Blake sets off a story that is as much about personal courage as it is about connection, community, and choosing a fuller life.
    What stands out immediately is the Marian family itself. Lennox has created a multigenerational family that feels lived-in and layered—bright, driven, imperfect, and deeply bonded. The parents and grandparents add texture and gravity, grounding the story in legacy and love, while the gay Marian siblings bring humor, ambition, and emotional range that feel authentic rather than archetypal.
    The romance unfolds with Lennox’s signature mix of tenderness, heat, and emotional honesty, but what gives this book its staying power is the sense of place and belonging. This is a story about more than falling in love—it’s about how one connection can ripple outward, changing two men and the world around them. This story has the outdoor adventure component, lives lift with a rawness and yet vulnerability.

    A confident, heartfelt start to a series that promises rich characters, strong relationships, and a family readers will want to keep coming back to.

    Although you can read each book on its own. I would SO encourage you to start at the beginning of her Marian series so you develop a connection with each unique family member.

    Fun and confusion, plus aunt Tilly to keep them on their toes. enjoyed this one . Sheriff Foster and Dr Marian grabs your attention right from the beginning.

    I completely enjoyed this story and I still seriously didn’t do the math cuz that would have given me a headache. Seeing this story unfold was fascinating how they found each by following their passions and taking chances.

    Loved these two and not forgetting Chickie and Tilly who helped them along the way.
    This was filled with humour, snark and chemistry.
    This book was great and I know I'll be reading the next in the series.
