Testimonials (2025)
Aryan D. (Northwestern University)
My first encounter with Rubin Sir was through his LinkedIn post, where he shared a comprehensive list of universities in the U.S. along with their respective fields. This valuable resource hooked me onto his account, as it provided detailed educational content that felt like the best-curated study abroad information all in one place.
When I started working with Rubin Sir, we began from scratch to navigate the entire application journey. I remember precisely how he gave me a complete rundown of the timelines and what would be expected of me at each point along the way. Unlike other consulting firms and name-brand agencies, where I would typically submit a Google form to summarize my academic and professional endeavors, Rubin Sir had one-on-one conversations with me. This personal approach made me feel comfortable with the application process, allowing me to share in-depth opinions and views on each important aspect.
I felt like I was reliving and documenting every relevant event, no matter the size. This process was pivotal in helping me understand my holistic standing in the application journey. With Rubin Sir, I never felt like just another profile in a vast sea of deserving students and applicants. I felt exceptionally heard and cared for, which significantly eased the anxiety I had before starting this journey, particularly after my previous experiences with a well-known study abroad agency.
I am sincerely grateful for the experience I had with Rubin Sir during the application process. He not only surpassed my expectations but also consistently went above and beyond. The guidance he provided was invaluable, helping me refine my interests and areas of excellence. Throughout the timeline of my application, I never felt like I was engaged in this process for the sake of an end result; it seemed like a natural progression.
As someone who often gets caught up in details and fine-tuning, I never experienced even the slightest drop in Rubin Sir’s level of involvement or the quality of his diligence. Every element of the application received the utmost attention. I want to emphasize that many students and fellow applicants overlook this: the outcome of the application process is often seen as an abstract end result, but the process itself involves many layers and essential requirements. How you manage your workload and timeline determines whether the experience is fruitful or fraught with anxiety.
Rubin Sir’s approach not only acknowledges the uncertainties life can bring but also addresses every minute detail, allowing individuals to produce the best possible results.
With Rubin Sir, it never felt like a transactional service; I felt personally involved and cared for throughout the entire process. He anticipated areas we might overlook, and with each interaction, it felt like I was having a one-on-one conversation with an elder brother and mentor. The level of detail and resourcefulness he provides is unmatched.
If I could go through this entire journey again, I wouldnโt change a thing. I entered the application process with no expectations, but what I gained from the experience is hard to put into words. I witnessed my growth in many aspects, and Rubin Sir played the most significant role as a catalyst in that journey.
Eshita R. (Carnegie Mellon University)
My overall experience has been great! I’m very satisfied with the outcomes as well. Thank you so much for your time and effort. I really appreciate the detailed knowledge transfer sessions and your approach to handling various statementsโbe it SOP, PS, diversity, essay questions, technical questions, etc. Your writing skills were amazing and I loved how you were able to connect my technical and social experiences in a seamless manner. Your techniques were very precise and pertinent. The brainstorming sessions really helped me when I was confused/stuck and you were quite responsive whenever I needed any assistance. I also admire the fact that you were very genuine and patient throughout the process! I am really grateful for your services and wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Would definitely recommend it to others!
K. S. (ETH Zurich)
The edits and suggestions I received were truly essential in helping me highlight my strengths effectively. After reading numerous other motivation letters, I realized that Rubinโs critical insights addressed key aspects I had overlooked in my letter, strengthening my case for why I want to pursue this course. His ability to assess each situation individually and provide tailored advice is, in my opinion, his greatest strength. In my case, as someone transitioning fields, he not only offered thoughtful guidance but also shared valuable insights on how I can demonstrate my acumen towards the new field, which in turn greatly supported my application.
Aditya P. (Toulouse School of Economics)
Working with Rubin has been a pleasant experience. Though his area of expertise had been writing statements for applicants targeting US/UK universities, he did an amazing job of writing statements specific to my field at the universities I was applying in Europe.
There wasn’t a single instance where the deadlines set for the statements had to be extended, despite whatever personal commitments he had. I’d 100% recommend taking Rubin’s services for foreign applications.
Prince M. (University of California, San Diego)
I had a great experience with the letters, essays and the CV. Rubinโs questionnaires were great and helped a lot with focusing on the important parts of the overall profile that need to be highlighted for a graduate program. He was also very accommodating during the entire process. I would highly recommend his services to everyone applying to grad school, his knowledge is exceptional!
Puneeth G. (University of California, San Diego)
Rubin helped me in many different ways. I first got to know him through his LinkedIn posts. I used to read his posts and suggestions and apply them whenever possible. Later, when I was planning to pursue higher education, I immediately thought of reaching out to Rubin. He helped me in numerous ways. First, he guided me in understanding what I truly wanted to do in my career. Then, he narrowed down my options and provided valuable tips on selecting the right university, which was crucial. He also carefully curated a well-personalized set of documents that accurately reflected my intentions. Even though I often pressured him, he remained calm and even went the extra mile by creating an additional document that wasnโt part of our original agreement. To sum it up, working with Rubin not only guarantees strong documentation but also helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your goals.
Satya C. (Johns Hopkins University)
Rubin Sirโs guidance was instrumental in shaping my college applications. We began brainstorming ideas months before my first deadline, breaking everything down step by stepโfiguring out the right angles for my essays, refining my narrative, and making sure my voice came through in every word. He has this way of asking just the right questions that make you rethink and refine your writing without losing your voice. With offers from JHU, UCLA, USC, BU, UC San Diego, UIUC, NEU, and more, I genuinely couldnโt have done this without his support. Iโm beyond grateful for his patience, insight, and honesty.
Siddharth B. (North Carolina State University)
I got really good support throughout the process. Everything was very organic. Very good grasp of existing trends. Every document including CV, SOP was ensured its tailor made for you which requires first understanding the client and what their needs.
College selection list was very realistic and results do speak for it.

Anand (Stony Brook University)
OP review session was super helpful. You highlighted the strong and weak areas of my initial draft and gave concrete suggestions on how to improve. I think it improved my SOP by atleast 25 percent. My favourite part about the experience was that I could continue to contact you after the session and you were super responsive and helpful even after. All this after just paying for a one-hour session which was quite cheap in itself.

I came across RBN Education Consulting by chance, through a google search, when I was seeking help with my SOPs and Cover Letters for Master’s. I had a wonderful experience because the edits and comments for my SOPs were made punctually and it was a very seamless process. It was evident that Rubin spent time to go through each sentence and paragraph. I am really glad that I found the service because I got accepted to my top choice of course! BS Akash (UC Davis)
When I started off for MS applications, I was totally clueless on how to proceed further as I didn’t know anyone in the family or friends who’s been through it before. So I started my search with approaching consultancies and I was disappointed as it was more about money than information. I came to know about Rubin through a Facebook group and he felt quite legit about him and highly unlike the previous consultancies. I have gone through the website of RBN Consulting to get more clarity and I learnt about the genuineness of his previous work. I talked to him personally after that and there’s no looking back after that. He is very helpful, to quote an example – he answered all the questions including the silly ones with utmost patience and that call went on more than an hour. After that whenever there is something I need to ask he was just a phone call away. I could clearly differentiate the clarity he has given me on the process compared to others. I liked his services a lot as well (I took help with adding color to my SOP). Always approachable, friendly person. I highly recommend taking up his services with no doubt.

The entire process was very much streamlined and efficient. For each document that has to be prepared, there is a meeting to understand what I had to offer, there is research to what information is needed for the document and justice is done as to how it is catered according to the individual. Overall I was extremely happy with the entire process and was very worth the money.

I am extremely grateful for Rubin’s invaluable support during my graduate admissions process. I started out with the essay’s quite late in the application season, but Rubin helped me plan out a timeline and took my initial draft into a much more refined and polished version. More importantly, he helped craft a well-planned SOP which conveyed a story with a good flow. His experience in the graduate admissions sphere and his candor definitely helped ease some of my apprehensions and lack of clarity in the admissions process.

Neha M.
I have worked with a couple of education consultants in my journey of applying to universities abroad. The experience with Rubin has been, without a doubt, the most rewarding. He puts in a lot of effort to understand the applicant’s work profile and education experience as well as choice of programs and universities.
Since I come from a diverse set of experiences and an interdisciplinary education background, it has been difficult highlighting diversity as a strength in my applications and also explaining my overall journey to consultants. Rubin helped me translate my journey in my application documents by helping me build a beautiful narrative around it and also helping me identify and highlight important connections between my CV and SOP.
Rubin’s pragmatic and effective strategy on curating an SOP and other application documents reflects his vast knowledge and understanding of the systemic procedures and also approaches that actually work. In addition to the above, I found his inputs on my writing to be extremely helpful and insightful. Calls with him are succinct and always productive.
He has also been helpful in resolving queries at a quick turnaround time and for queries where he doesn’t have ample knowledge, he puts the applicant in touch with people that have some amount of expertise in the same.

I had a great time working with you while preparing for my admission (SOPs’ and Interviews) to courses in US Universities. I really appreciate your attention to detail, creative writing skills and urge to help a student, and I can say that is part of the reason why I got offers from multiple top programs. Also what really makes you stand apart is your first-hand experience of the US University and job culture and having those long chats with you helped me come to the US with a lot of confidence.

Pranjal A. (University of Colorado Boulder)
My overall experience with Rubin was outstanding and helpful for my graduate school application. Firstly, he was highly professional and responsive throughout the entire process. He listened attentively to my concerns and queries and addressed them appropriately. Moreover, he was accommodating to my busy schedule and always made time to provide feedback and support. Secondly, he thoroughly understood the requirements for graduate school applications and helped me tailor my essays accordingly. He provided insights into what the admission committees were looking for. As a result, I produced strong essays that reflected my personality and ambitions. Finally, he gave me valuable suggestions that significantly improved my essay’s quality. His feedback was constructive and insightful, and he also helped me with some additional resources and examples that helped me articulate my thoughts better. I recommend his services to anyone seeking help with their grad school applications.

Reeti S. (Yale University)
Your counselling style is very unique and well-focused on the studentโs interests and ambitions. I had spoken to almost 6 counsellors among them big names like Madhavi Desai, Nishta Tripathi and Gradvine but always got a negative response from each of them regarding my interest in pursuing an unconventional course. A few were too expensive for writing essays, and a few told me that I wonโt be able to get into any good uni or secure a good job and I should stick to industrial engineering.
On the contrast, your way of counselling gave me so much clarity on what I have and lack, and how could I stand out with my profile. Usually other consultants like to make a uniform profile for every student but you really put yourself in the shoes of the student and the long conversations, the way you push the student to think about the idea/theme of their essay rather than just serving a content, I feel helped me a lot to be very precise with my essay and even gave me so much clarity to what I could do during and after masters.
I absolutely adore how you keep a thread throughout the essays and the application. Of course, no doubt the fee is minimal for the exceptional service you provide. I also love that you are very organised and stick to deadlines.

Rubin has been the first and only person I have personally come across that is ready to take out the time to understand each of his client’s profiles and also their preferred courses. His suggestions gave me a new perspective to look at things and helped me understand myself better. Most importantly, I have enjoyed working on something I saw as a task I need to just get over with, and had meaningful discussions with someone who is ready to listen, understand and provide me with valuable feedback. Because of Rubin, I ended up managing such a stressful period of time with ease.

Sakshi B. (North Carolina State University)
Working with Rubin was an exceptional experience for me. I decided to seek his assistance for drafting my SOP and LORs, and he proved to be very proficient. Rubin took the time to understand my background thoroughly, including my undergraduate and work experiences, to create a personalized application. We brainstormed together to make my SOP more engaging by discussing various situations, and once we decided on the flow, Rubin began drafting it. I was amazed by the first draft, which was better than anything I could have produced on my own. We worked on more edits and revisions until the SOP was nearly perfect. Rubin was always understanding and accommodating to my requests, making changes whenever necessary. If he thought something needed improvement, he would suggest alternatives until we reached a consensus. Additionally, he provided guidance on composing emails to professors to obtain recommendations, and he addressed all my queries and doubts regarding the university application process. Despite the overwhelming nature of the task, Rubin made it manageable for me. What’s even better is that Rubin’s consultancy fee was minimal compared to other consultants, yet he delivered top-notch services. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rubin’s services to others.

Srihari (University of Southern California)
Really loved the experience.
What I liked the most were:
1) A strict agreement document and adherence to it
2) Mentoring over phone calls and google meet, and the numerous insights you shared
3) Focus on customized and unique documents, going over multiple revisions until it sounded perfect
4) Very nominal fee
At some point, I felt that the fee I paid was lesser than the amount of effort you were putting in.

one thing I really liked about is he made sure i am aware of what is university is looking for and how to present my profile to align best with that. he went way beyond to research about the program, curriculum and kept me aware of his thought process. which helped me understand how to shortlist collages, write SOP, Resume and how to prepare for interviews. and based on this i am quite confidant i can do this on my own if need arises in future

Rubin has been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my MA admission process. I am really excited to pursue my dream course, but the process has also been quite overwhelming. I am so grateful to Rubin for being patient with me while I arranged my application materials, for allowing me to complete my research on universities and scholarships, and for finally guiding me in the best way possible. I came across Rubin’s profile on LinkedIn, and am so glad that I made that first phone call and connected with him. I had a thousand queries, and he answered them patiently every time I reached out. He provided logical solutions and the best options whenever I got a little anxious or confused during the application season. For a student who’s moving to a different country, Rubin’s support has been priceless to me. With his help, I’ve received offers from all the UK universities where I had applied. They were my dream universities, and I’m thankful to be able to choose among them. I wish him and all the students who seek his guidance the very best in their endeavours.

Ujwal Z. (University of Waterloo, scholarship)
I came across RBN Education Consulting while searching for the details of a person who received acceptance from a university I was interested in and who also had been his client recently. Starting with the email to be sent to professors to the resume and the SOPs, Rubin amended everything in such a perfect manner that it led me to receive acceptance even from my dream university. The best thing about his services is that he doesnโt spoon-feed, rather he asks us to give it a shot and then with his skills provides the bullet a proper direction, which is very important.
