Battlestar Galactica - Laura Roslin - Where Do I Belong
Medium: TV
Fandom: Battlestar Galactica
Title: Where Do I Belong
Subject: Laura Roslin, some Adama/Roslin included too.

Front/Back covers

01. Kama Sutra

Hold your horses before you say or think what you shouldn't. This just works as intro, it's an instrumental song with some vocalise around the middle to the end.
02. Where Do I Belong

Or the song about how Laura feels about her cancer and her fight.
03. They

This one is about the cylons, how they're now 12 models and looking human and the possible chaos and suspicion because you can't be sure if anyone really is who they claim to be.
04. For The Heart I Once Had

This one may be a bit random but somehow, but after watching certain scenes from Daybreak, like the one above, it kind of explains how Laura felt after the news were delivered to her.
05. Born To Try

Laura and her choices throught her life, the good and the bad ones.
06. The Howling

This one probably wins the 'most random song' in this mix. Probably suits more Starbuck, but if used for Laura then leading the resistance in New Caprica should be the right choice to explain why this song is here.
07. Sleeping Sun

or

Two versions with the same song. And well, Bill and Laura in the groundbreaking ceremony. I don't need to explain anything else, do I?
08. I'm So High

Bill and Laura. Groundbreaking ceremony. Again! But now, drunk and stoned.
09. The Story Of Us

I honestly cannot give an explanation for this one. Since I heard it for the first time I thought of them.
10. Over The Hills And Far Away

In short: A/R all the way. First when the fleet leaves them all in New Caprica and wait for them to return. Then, Laura in the rebel basestar.
11. It's A Beautiful Day

This one works for both times the cancer is killing her.
12. She's A Rebel

Frist crack song of the mix, even if it's about her being dangerous like, let's say, near an airlock or leading the resistance.
13. Your Disco Needs You

More crack. This time, for both Colonial Day - the celebration - and Unfinished Business - groundbreaking ceremony.
14. All I Need

Back to A/R, and well if anything, set in The Hub as Laura finally admits/deals with her feelings/opens her eyes/insert here whatever else you find fitting here about Bill.
15. I Believe In You

Because people just believed in her, for whatever reason, they just did. If she was the president? They did. The dying leader-prophet? They belived in her too. The teacher? Hell, why not. Resistance leader? Well, now that you're at it believing in her everything else, you might as well agree on this, too.
16. Together We Are One

Truce with the cylons and trying to find Earth together.
17. I Will Be With You

Post Daybreak
18. Utopia

Another one I can't really explain. I just thought of them.
19. Shall Be Done

First of all, try to ignore the free brainwashing propaganda brought to you by Panasonic.
Having said that, this one works for Laura as the President and trying to find a new home for her people.
20. Running

I don't really have to explain why this song is here... RIGHT? At least, I hope not. Oh there's something I have to explain: there's an instrumental hidden track in this one.
And now... The bonus tracks! Oh, yeah, I included three!
21. Starship Trooper

Pure crack song right here, and also the one to blame for this whole mix. Yep. It started with this song, hit in UK back in 1978 by the way, then with a fic inspired by this song which you can read HERE and it ends with this fanmix. Get your own conclusions as to why I included it here - besides the obvious one.
22. I Will Be With You - Instrumental

Same as number 17 but the instrumental version just because I like it.
23. Roslin & Adama

This one's a must. And yes, it is from BSG's S2 OST.
